John first became part of the construction industry when he went to work for Deannas father, Orville Lack, Lack Brothers Drywall and DryWall Specialties, Inc. where he not only learned the sheetrock business, but mixed sheetrock mud by hand. John eventually took over the business and moved into homebuilding.
