Beazer Home team members were fine; my home is lovely. One of the recommended mortgage lenders was horrible; extremely poor customer service that made this process very stressful & took away from the joy of buying my first home.

I’m a Realtor and have sold many Beazer Homes over the years both individually and as part of a team. Overall the experiences have been positive and I liked the build quality for the money, so when it came time to build our 3rd new construction home, it seemed like a solid choice. Overall the process was extremely disappointing and caused us a lot of unnecessary stress and financial hardships (closed on the 4th attempt). The start of this journey was exciting. However, the communication with the sales representative was less than desirable. I was out of state and getting detailed updates just never really happened. Horrible experience with workmanship and quality

It was apparent that the contractors held no regard for the quality of their work for the price point of this home. From the crooked front porch pillars, to the spilled concrete areas on drive and front porch, to the already crumbling mortar, crooked brick and stone work, finding screws into main water lines and black mold less than 2 months after moving in, scratched windows, hard water stains a third up the cement siding, wrong luxury vinyl plank placed in home...the list continues. And then to have the home appraise for $30,000 less than selling price.

It was all good experience till the closing date. After closing there were many issues and big one was HVAC which is still not working after 1 and a half month of closing. I think Beazer should do a thorough check to test and review the home/appliances/others before closing with customer. Overall not a good experience.- Vik

Poor craftsmanship and lack of effort

The quality of craftsmanship and effort putting these homes is poor. Our house was $900,000 to build and the cement on our back patio AND in our garage started crumbling before we even moved in. Tile work was poorly done and had to be torn out and replaced. The grout is unevenly spaced and for a bathroom that is all gray they put in brown grout which doesn’t make sense. We have been through two construction managers already in the past nine months. I would not recommend Beazer to anybody.

We were very excited to purchase the home, unfortunately I feel Beazer quality is subpar compared to other builders. I wish I would of purchased from LANDSEA instead.

Low quality materials for the price and poor quality assusrance

Just moved into a new home built by Beazer. I'm extremely disappointed at the quality of materials used and the lack of good quality assurance inspections. I owned previous homes built by Pulte and Ryan, and their quality is much better. A home priced at over half a million dollars should have top of the line construction materials and hardware. After moving in, I found out my A/C compressor was never connected (hence never tested). Once connected by sub-contractor, it didn't cool at all. We did a walk through a week prior and pointed out items to be corrected. 90% of items were still not corrected when we came back the following week for closing. House was dirty and had not been cleaned.

Great customer service prior to close. Poor follow through on workmanship

We were very happy with the customer service on the sale and development of the house. However, the follow through with “warranty” issues as promised by our builder has been poor. From a broken pipe two weeks after closing that stopped any water to house, and a lack of follow through on issues identified at final walkthrough. The national warranty office is professional and helpful, but lack of follow through on site has been extremely disappointing. The house design is beautiful.

Overall, a bad experience. Would ask our sales contact questions on status of home build and they would either ignore our questions or push us off to another contact who would not respond in a timely manner. If there were updates on the home, it was about a week late, as we would drive by the home ourselves and see the updates first hand. It was frustrating as a home buyer to have inconsistent communication with no accountability. Our move in date was also moved multiple times due to supply chain and labor issues. While we love our new home, the entire experience was diminished by not being able to construct a fence. Before contracting, we asked about fencing our yard as this was one of our top priorities when choosing a lot and a builder. We were ensured this would not be a problem. Initially when I started the process everything was great. Kelly and Meaghan were really great and I received weekly updates from Dio. When DIO left so did customer disappeared. For five months I visited this house everyday Andy nothing was moving. I ended up with a punch list of 33 items of which Steve worked diligently to fix. Low quality in construction, lack of professionalism with construction manager and inspector of craftmanship. We had significant problems with drywall on ceiling & walls. Hot water heater does not get as hot as expected. The washer & dryer models in our closing docs did not match the actual washer & dryer...so the pedestals we ordered did not work.

Nice home but Beazer fell short in execution of the process. Communication was poor, closing delayed multiple times, and home not fully complete when closed. Warranty follow-up is poor also.

Overall this has been a disappointing experience. Our home has had so many issues. We have had construction crews in almost daily and things torn up everywhere. In almost every case we have needed a repair, Beazer has sent their “expert” (actually a rookie handyman at best, who even admits they are) who then makes the issue worse. Then they have to send another crew to repeat or repair even more the next time. We have had our sink get destroyed then need replacing. To replace it they had to take counter off, when they slammed it back down it caused separation all around they have to fix now. ...

Beazer home representatives threatened me with a $200 a day fine if I was not at the closing table on the date they specified. I was reluctant to do so but my Beazer contractor assured me that the items would be taken care of after closing.
