The builder was good as well, they need work on time management in case the house finish before scheduled time to help the buyer.

Jonathan building manager was excellent. He was very helpful and made every attempt to fix and correct issues in a timely manner. Our experience and time with him was great. However, there are other area where Centex can improve period. Thanks

we call the construction manager as soon as we started finding issues, the carpenter came and evaluated the details we showed him, he said " we need to replace basically all the doors of the cabinets in the kitchen, and paint them" after that we haven't hear from them, and they are no longer here at the subdivision.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt I should for this experience. As a first time home buyer, I didn’t know what to expect. I would visit my home every couple of weeks to check the progress and in doing so I noticed some things. First, there was a bottle of pee in one of the bedrooms that spilled over before the carpet was put in. So who knows if it was cleaned properly. Second, there was toilet paper in the guest bathroom as if they were using the toilets instead of the portable restroom right outside my home. As we expressed our concerns during the walk through, we received a lot of back talk from the builder instead of assurance that our dislikes would be taken care of. Very unprofessional. After moving in, I noticed my microwave had been used since there was food crumbs inside. I was told cleaners would come before moving in, but I don’t know what they actually cleaned. The process for requesting things to be fixed after moving in has been smooth, and I wish I could have received this customer service before moving in too. Overall, I would not recommend Centex Homes to friends or family based on my experience. ... Más

No really good experience during all process, quality and termination of the house was a battle

Satisfactory, but not great experience.

Overall good experience great builder and great sells person that we had. They have great customer service . Just not happy with the workmanship on the concrete. The driveway was poorly made and they said it was up to the standards. It doesn't look like a new drive way. Very cheaply poured. And paint is very cheap and if it scuffs. You can't clean the paint if you clean the scuff the paint comes right off. Some issues were addressed but the ones I am noting were up to the standard. Still haven't received my oven. There is paint splatters on various parts of the vinyl flooring. We had to deep clean the house before moving was still very dirty. Asked for permits but couldn't get them. Upsetting that a 4 door truck doesnt fit in the garage. ... Más

Super rushed thru the closing. Numerous issues to be addressed. Virtually no communication even though I was promised to be kept updated. 2 months after closing & still issues unaddressed that were to be fixed/etc before or very shortly after closing. Even was given a certificate of occupancy despite the heat not working. Too many houses, too few ppl for the workload, too focused on only money, and the laborers' work is neither inspected nor up to par for new construction in that price range.

It was good within reason, they’re pushy with the timelines when they want you to do something but loose on the timing when you want something. The house is built well, but some of the finish work falls short

Very stressful paperwork had to be sent numerous times and monthly payment and interest rate were not locked in immmefiately they kept changing customer payment amount

It was my first home buying experience. Though I was new to this, centex personnel has provided all the info and education regarding home buying. I suggest all the new buyers to trust centex in home buying.

The tile in my master bathroom is cracking open in the shower

Some of the workmanship and materials used were done poorly. Overall, not bad, but for the price, could have been completed neater and better materials used such as bathroom and kitchen fixtures. Takes a long long time for work to be addressed and/or done to fix work poorly done. Disappointed with that.

The sales group is great at there job and make you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. But I dislike how they operate when it comes to your home. There is a very limited option to customize your home. Once they pour the concrete they won’t allow you to change not one thing. As well comparing our house to the others in the neighborhood we over paid for our house. The same house with close enough square footage to ours cost less than ours. Those houses are fully loaded with grass in the back and sprinklers and gutters. Ours didn’t come with non of that and cost about 30,000 more. If I was to go back I would do better research on how much the houses in our neighborhood are going for. As well I would have a realtor next time to catch the slid bull the sales people will try to slide by you. We could have gotten a better deal than what we was offered. But that’s okay; that’s first time homeowner mistake. It won’t happen next time. ... Más

The sales and supervisors we worked with were great to work with. However, the craftsmanship in the house is pretty terrible. Cheap carpet and floors. Terrible paint jobs inside and out. Everything inside the house looks like it was done by someone who does not take pride in their work.

While the home is nice, we are starting to find minor to major issues which I will not type here. I will say that if I had to do it again I would get a home inspector before signing off on the final home inspection.

Workmanship can get better, there was a lot of areas that were different measurement such as windows. Several doors had large gaps on the bottom. The huge one for me was that there was no blinds at all in the home, it is very hard to find the all the measurements. there are over 10 windows in the home.

Our experience at first was really good as Shawn kept us informed about the house. After we moved in we were told we would have a new house manager, but was never given his number. Shawn said that Scott had been too busy to meet with us, as he is meeting with other homeowners. We are homeowners and he should have met with us. We have lived here almost 2 months and nothing has been fixed on our move in list.

Builder follow through left a lot to be desired.

Closing was delayed multiple days because issues with the CO which cause me yo wait over 5 days after closing to receive my keys! After almost two months after closing I am still waiting for the home screens to be installed… very disappointed overall with the company

Although Shawn, our building manager, had his hands tied a lot, I feel he did the best job he could for us. Contractors do seem to be the lowest bidders though. Often not showing up when they say they will. Centex had no contingency plan in place when their HVAC contractors quit on them. This lead to a couple of months delay. Holiday Pools refused to communicate with me about the project. Closing was delayed two weeks because the pool was not complete. This caused us to extend our stay at a local hotel and increased our out of packet expenses. Drywall has several splatters and the painters simply painted over them. Gloss paint for crown molding was overlapping the ceiling flat white in many areas. Had to reorder some tile and they used a different color grout when finishing. I see a few tile spacers still stuck in the grout. Our bathtub has to be refinished after contractors used ladders in the tub and scuff up the tub badly. Date of refinishing is estimated to be 4 months after closing! One window was broken at closing and has been repaired, but two windows are still missing trim that covers the installation screws after 40 days!
