Do not do mail-away closing. They do not fix any issues that were found during the walk through as promised but passed them to the warranty team. Some doors do not close tight, you can see gaps between door and frame. Dry wall issues, molding, painting, caulking, etc...We are still waiting for the CCM to schedule the people to fix the issues. We are thinking to record the issues and upload to our youtube channel afterward if they break their promises again!

First of all, the salesman wanted us to put in the 60 thousand dollars for the prime package which supposedly was the best washer and dryer, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. I’ve seen these items in sears and robucks altogether costing maybe 3000 dollars total. I am going to be disabled soon even though we asked more than a year ago to make the house available for wheelchair accessible; there was a sliding glass door toward the lanais with a 2 inch bar making a wheelchair inaccessible. There were a couple of things that were not mentioned like no screens on the windows and no grab bars in the shower. There is a drainage area to the west of the house that resembles a moat. However, the island top and the countertop is very nice. The shower was done to disabled standards except the grab bar. Started out great, then went down hill towards closing and after closing. So many issues with the house and taking them a long time to respond.

Worst home buying experience ever. The only thing that made this experience worth it was the construction manager behind upfront, honest, and handled every issues as quickly as possible.

This centex builder is not Upto the mark. They are building the homes to sell it fast. They are not looking for the quality of the house. The engineers working for centex are not professionally qualified and they mostly don’t know how to build the house but they are doing that. They are asking the buyer to close the house without completing the home and the buyer mostly don’t know about few things and they are rush to close because of the time limits.

Terrible, terrible buying experience. Builder purposely delayed close because we chose to use a third party lender. We were homeless living in an extended stay hotel with our pets for weeks because of their intentional delays. Pulte Mortgage was EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE in trying to keep us from going elsewhere. The “incentives” they offer buyers are eaten up by their ridiculously high fees, so you actually net zero dollars towards the purchase. The closing agent from Pulte was extremely rude during the signing. The build quality is seriously lacking. There was no attention to detail. Baseboards don’t line up throughout the house. There’s just gobs of caulk to cover their laziness which looks terrible. There are tacks sticking up through the carpet in areas and we keep getting poked by them. There’s paint spatter all over the vinyl plank floors, and glue from the installation of said floors was left to dry and harden so we have to use a putty knife and goo remover to scrape it off. I finally just gave up and put area rugs down. The paint used throughout is a flat sheen so every touch of the walls leaves a mark. And you cannot wipe the walls to remove the marks because the paint comes right off because they didn’t do several coats. You have to repaint each and every spot where there is a mark. The joints on the plastic coated MDF cabinets weren’t sealed nor was the shoe moulding. The cabinets are tiny and do not hold much. There are no drawers in either bathroom vanity. No drawers you ask? Nope. We have no storage in the bathrooms. We had to buy several pieces of furniture just for the storage. We had no electricity to the kitchen island and had to wait a month before it was fixed. Toilets and HVAC registers were installed crooked and not corrected despite our requesting it during final walk through. Sod was laid right over the weeds. The grass is dead in the extreme heat, but the weeds are flourishing. I will say the representative who I initially communicated with was very nice and helpful and our construction manager was great. The warranty work we’ve requested has been handled expediently. Our overall experience was a huge disappointment. We were so excited to have a brand new home and that was ruined by Pulte/Centex. The overall quality of the build is very, very poor. The tradesman used are just lazy and have no pride in their work. They do the absolute minimum and it shows. Just go elsewhere and maybe pay more but have a better finished product and a builder who doesn’t play childish games with people’s lives. ... Más

I have unfinished job at my home, that I have been calling concern authorities to come and complete, they keep pushing me around .the wooden frame by my a washer need to be installed

The quality of craftmanship in our brand new house is absolutely horrible. The paint and drywall looks like an eight year old did it. Every room has a punch list of touch ups and fixes that my wife and I are still going through and fixing. Centex and Pulte obviously do not care in the least bit in the quality of contractors they hire throughout the building process. My biggest worry is the quality and sustainability of everything you can't see. Structural integrity, wiring, A/C.....etc. Bottom line, a lot of money for a horrible experience and even worse quality.

While I don't believe the house is going to fall down around us, the finishing touches were very poor. They were in a rush to get us closed. Paint on the floors and splattered on the cabinets. Problems with our plumbing. The trim around the roof is bent. Stickers left on windows, trash left in the yard with the seed and sod just put on top of it, dirt and mud left on the outside windows and sides. We also had a pipe leak into the walls one week after closing the repairs STILL have not be finished. Centex works with sub-contractors that don't care about your home and once you close, Centex doesn't either. ... Más

The builders did not do a good job building this house. So many issues. They are not getting them done.

Very poor communication, lack of attention to details. Very poor workmanship and care for work.

The worst builder in Texas to deal with. Low quality and poor workmanship.

They do fake promises! not my cup of tea.

We closed on the 29th March, My wife and I walked into a house that had holes in the ceiling, holes in the walls, all floors where dirty and had paint overspray on every part of the house. The quality vinyl floors had lifted in every room on the lower level, which we are still waiting to be replaced. We have had jobs in for correction or repairs since we have been here and am not impressed with the quality of work received. If this is Centex's idea of quality they should be ashamed of what they are selling. This house, and I say house because I am still unable to put my furniture in due to the floors and other repairs needed to call it a home. I would not recommend Centex homes to my family, friends or worst enemies Period, and will not have my adult children purchase there new home from Centex. ... Más

This was absolutely the worst home buying experience. Something that was supposed to be a fun experience is a living nightmare. During multiple inspections and walks many issues were pointed out to our Field manager and he either just didn’t give a crap or didn’t know what he was doing. During the last month of our build we reached out to his boss who was very concerned on our build. 1 month post closing and I’m living with blue tape all over my walls, can’t hang a single single, going on my 4th floor install, 4th master shower tile install, unpainted doors, unpainted trim. Much of the home is still full of the same issues that had been promised to be fixed such as paint on the floor in multiple locations, trim missing in our bathroom, warped cabinet doors in the kitchen, and poor dry wall work with metal corner braces still being exposed against a white wall.... Anytime we have reached out to our builder rep he was more focused on a positive survey response than the completion or even overall craftsmanship put into our home. We were the last home in our neighborhood to close and it has been made apparent that the focus is on the next building project now that our neighborhood has been completely sold. I hesitated to write this review, but the number of issues I had to go through with this new build is unbearable. The closing date was 2/18/2022. Today is 4/21/2022. Before buying this house, I was ready to go with Taylor Morrison vs. Pulte. However, I end-up signing with Pulte/Centex after considering the commute (Centex house is closer to the city). The model house I saw was well finished. The quality is high and promising. The build I end up with is nothing alike. Summarizing the issues as below: The number of tickets I have open for a MAJOR problem is 8. Below is a list and brief description: The slab under the garage door was not even. That will allow the water to go in, plus insects. The main water shut-off valve inside the garage is buried behind the drywall. They had to cut and surface the value box. 120 volts of electricity was running in the front yard bibb. I attempted to water the front yard one day and got shocked by the electricity. The electrician found out that there was a screwdriver was right in the main electricity line. Interior finishes are bad. Modeling is not straight, and electricity outlets are not aligned. The paint was poorly applied to the front door. They came to fix it, but it still looks so bad. The house floorplan I went with has six kitchen cabinets on one side installed side by side. There is a trim at the top of the cabinets. They cut that trim into two pieces and kept a gap between them. The garage door rail was curvy. The garage door was making a noise when the motor attempted to pull the door up. After closing on the house, I found some scratches on the backdoor glass. They replaced the glass, but the door paint needed some touch-ups afterward. The original backdoor color was white, but the painters decided to paint it black from the outside. They ended up replacing the door and still waiting for the painters (praying nothing will go wrong this time). Some items to add to the above list: Centex claimed they put plywood or glue under the vinyl during the floor installation, but that is not true. They claimed they used some kuchen under the carpet and glue to hold the carpet, but that is not true. I believe going with Centex/Pulte was a wrong decision. ... Más

It’s been two months after closing and issues are still being discovered in addition to NOT being initially completed. It’s the little things the workers didn’t take pride in; baseboards not sealed correctly, non active bathroom bent, AC vent installed incorrectly (facing the window which creates moisture), installing the address numbers directly under the light where no one can see them, not thoroughly cleaning the house before I’ve taken possession, etc. Once things were supposed to be completed, I’ve asked for photos (as the home owner) but was told to get them from someone else. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. The only thing I should’ve needed from two months ago when I initially closed should be the stainless steel appliances which are on back order. Everything else should have been fixed and it wasn’t. I’ve told the site manager numerous times, emailed and texted the issues with the home. No solution has been granted. The last straw and what prompted this survey is when there was a leak in a wall due to a nail in a tube. This caused three levels in the pantry to be ripped out while waiting for the wood to dry before re-patching. I’ve been patient with this entire process but enough is enough. I can no longer be nice about this. The process has been POOR and not up to standards at all. I’m supposed to be excited about a new home purchase but it’s the complete opposite. This has the potential to be a beautiful home but based on the drama I’ve had/am having to deal with, it’s really ruining my experience. Lastly, things are still getting fixed, interior and exterior. Lights were left on, water was ran and additional power has been used. As a professional company who executes customer service, I should be compensated for all of the power/water used AFTER closing that contractors had to use. I should not have to pay for something I didn’t use and more so, things should have been done prior to my closing date. ... Más

At this point I’m giving all one stars due to the experience after buying the home. I’ve been in my home for 2 months and there is no communication or any effort to get things fixed that were on the inspection list! Unbelievable headache for the amount of money paid for home.

The workmanship is the lowest I have seen ever. No issues have been resolved as of yet. Sloppy work,substandard materials. promises not fulfilled. If you don’t use their mortgage company they make the process really difficult for you. It has been a complete nightmare.

I would not recommend this builder to anyone. I’m a builder myself and the entire process was an absolute nightmare.

No shows on warranty work several times. No one cares. They blame it on being a busy time.

Overall the experience was sub par. I’ll start by saying our construction manager was fantastic throughout the entire process. The house however is already showing is lack of workmanship. We have horribly poor mud and tape throughout the ceiling and some walls of the entire house and are in the process of having the framers and drywallers get back out in order to scrape, re mud and tape and then reapply the texture and paint for both up and down stairs. Definitely not the best way to start off living in a home after waiting for 10 months to move in. Loads of other simple quality control issues for example poor finish on some of our cabinets, not receiving the correct door handles and having them have to be replaced, scratches on mirrors which are being replaced and issues with the AC intermittently not working. All in all we will benefit greatly from the market increasing and without having the warranty take care of all of the repairs we absolutely would never consider building with them again.
