The home ostelf is nice and, if made with care, would have been a great home. Unfortunately, I was not given any spicket for the backyard, the floors creek, and laying down the sod was shoddy. Make sure you notice as much as you can before closing because after you do, good luck getting something worked on.

Still waiting for the external trim problem to be replaced. It has sharp corners that will cut someone's hand and quality of workmanship poor. I addressed this with Michael again this week. This my 4 or 5 discussion about the problem since before purchasing the house. Someone pretended to adjust the problem by adding large globs of silicone to the sharp corners and rough edged opening that were not turned -in correctly in a professional manner.

Attic’s are not useful because the house is not built well.

Not a very great experience till now. we have seen houses that are being built around the area which have more build quality than ours

Price is pretty comparable to other builders. The work however…SHODDY WORKMANSHIP!!! I wish I could post pictures. The turnaround time on the home was FAST but unfortunately the workmanship suffers. All the work from the cement subfloor to the paint and texture to the cabinets is poorly done. Unfortunately, we did not notice the majority of these things until we moved in. We closed two months earlier than expected so that should’ve been a red flag!!! Salesman and construction manager were very communicative though!

There are lots of small things which are not complete.

To me the house that was built was just average. They could have better builder grade for flooring and cabinets. Not every room has a ceiling fan connection. They should include in the basic package gutters and sod for back yard too.

Overall I have a good experience buying my house. Carter and Kristen were great. Kristen is full of information and will tell you” let me work for you, that why I’m here”, she is 100% hands on and will update you on every step of the process. Now the issue is dealing with the warranty department.

The Centex team were helpful and worked to get us in the house but the quality of the home is subpar. Windows are misshapen, walls aren’t straight, grass was laid poorly, etc. We’re not pleased and we might have made a mistake buying a home from Centex.

Not a good experience,bad paint job outside.

Our experience with Ryan in Sales was very pleasant and professional. As first-time Centex homebuyers, not our best experience with new construction because of Centex policies. We saw the home at the end of 2021 (the walls were not yet sheet rocked) and wanted to purchase at that time and were told the price. However, Centex did not release the lot until March 2022 with no reason given despite our many emails and phone calls to the sales office with offers to purchase. When the lot became available, the price was raised $50,000 with no cosmetic changes permitted (including paint color and style of the front door) even though it was early in the construction process. Once in the home we were told we had to wait 11 months for many of the issues we had with the construction to be corrected, including damaged windows and missing caulk and sparse mulch that we ended up paying to replace since the builder-controlled HOA refused to address this issue. Our experience with Centex would have been enhanced if all of the above did not happen. Therefore, we most likely will think long and hard before purchasing another home from Centex. ... Más

Multiple issues not resolved throughout the home. Two walkthroughs with blue tape and still issues remained. Doors not properly sealing. Two of the rooms in the "Smart home" did not have the ethernet cables terminated or cut into the walls. The filter was missing for the AC, when they finally installed it, it was a used and very clearly dirty filter, if I could post the picture I would, absolutely gross, Trash left in the AC unit, and cabinet doors installed backwards, Exterior of home has misaligned panels. Terrible communication, they don’t follow thru on commitments, they disappear for long periods of time and don’t respond, the quality isn’t great and most disappointing is that you don’t even get what you expected/paid for when they substitute big items for different colors without telling you. Long list of gripes. Sales team super friendly for what it’s worth.

I have a lot to appreciate this company like the neighborhood and the house manager(Mark) are two of the main things I would like to appreciate Mark has really great responsive tendencies he is always there to help with issues and even if he can’t he always tries his best to satisfy customer and for that I would like to thank him. Something that left me with a sour taste in my mouth is the fact that after 30 of you moving in they are supposed to come to do a walk though in your house and that is a part of the contract but they never showed up. we I did I told them that when I moved in my grass in the back yard was not leveled and looked horrible but when I told them about it they kept telling me somebody will come to fix it and I would wait but no one would show it took me having to keep to call them every single day then when they did send someone the said that they didn’t have enough material to fix it and he never came back and now I’m stuck with this big backyard that is not leveled and honestly looks horrible. ... Still waiting for numerous repairs that were identified prior to closing (May, 2022). I’m praying that the service improves.

We still have things that need to completed in our home.

Several blue tape items existed and only some of them were corrected before closing. Several issues/items still exist that were never corrected. Overall workmanship on building the house is not satisfactory. Overall responsiveness from construction manager and sales representative were unsatisfactory.

We had a decently easy buying process, not many delays and open communication, but the second closing papers were signed and money was in their hand we have had horrible customer service. I was promised two missing components to my home within two weeks of moving, and after several emails and unanswered calls we still don’t have them nearly two months later (except for a “hey there, did you get what you need?” Email that i answered and got no response) They are very nice before they get their money, but then it’s onto the next buyer with no follow up or care for those who just moved into their homes. Their contractors also openly litter and walk through our yard and mulch bed and step on our bushes (seen on ring doorbell) with no care as if we are not a closed property. If you’re looking for a comfortable buying process only to be pushed off the ledge to figure every little thing out post closing yourself, Centex is right for you. ... Más

Alicia is PHENOMINAL to work with in the sales dept, she is so sweet and very responsive all the way through the process; even after closing she responds. She gets a 10/10 in my book. Chaz in the building dept stopped communicating after closing, I thought that was very odd. After all people go though during several months long in the building process and awaiting closing - one would think you would at least pass the homeowner along instead of making them feel cheated or cheap. Sending people to voicemail and asking them to reply via email only seems very shady/shaky - only to get no reply back or several days later get a reply. This does not make anyone feel good considering the huge investment/purchase to have a new home built. If I were buying a piece of furniture I would expect lag, but this is a home for families to live in and we should be treated with top notch customer service. The process is very time consuming and all parties involved need to have ALOT of patience during the build. Good luck to anyone looking to build a home with Centex. It will be built, it may take what feels like forever to be completed, and may have a punch list that still isn't fulfilled/completed after 30 days of closing, but its possible to make it a home. I have no complaints about Centex as an agent. I would only recommend that they have a design center so it is easier to pick out your options within the home. A electronic design center that buyers can do on their free time to pick and choose options for their home. I am not a fan of Pulte Homes. We were promised a lot of things before we closed that NEVER happened or were fixed. After we closed our builder (Chaz) acted like we never bought a home from them. We can’t even get a friendly wave as he is standing out side of our new home and makes eye contact. There was no follow up or communication with the builder to fix what he promised us before closing or within the first 30 days of our home like he promised. We were contacted by customer support at our 30 day mark and had to ask for them to fix what the builder promised us would be fixed before our first 30 days in the home. So far they are helping us but we are waiting for things to be actually fixed as we hit our 60 day mark in the home. As a first time homebuyer this made my experience stressful and upsetting. In the end we realized that the builder was lying to us about what he was going to do for us to get us to just close on the home. If I had to build a home I wouldn’t want to have Pulte do it because of our experience. I’m the end we do love our home but we wish that our home was built with more attention to detail. This is all not to mention that we were 4 days late closing due to failing to receive a CO. ... Más

I don't care about some of the petty rules the company made. I needed them to accommodate my schedule and not for me to accommodate theirs. This meeting all the time was not going to fit my schedule when email and texting would work. Don't state the obvious. I can read. They were way behind getting my home done and the excuse was that the shortage of what ever was the cause. Other houses started way after mine were being completed. Work should have been diverted to finishing my home as promised. Home quality sucks and things I mentioned were a problem were never reviewed and fixed. I was so desperate to get into my home that I just moved and fixed myself (I am 69 yo female). I was informed that it was not like my house cost a million dollars and imperfection was to be expected on some things. This was my million dollar home!! ... Más

If you get the opportunity to work with Porter you won't be disappointed !! Nice floor plans and upgrades. A couple of upgrades I wish were available - hardwood in the upstairs and an upgrade on the kitchen appliances.

I love my home. Centex conceptualizes a beautiful look and appeal. My concern is workmanship it was poor all around. I never had a final walk through it was a 1001 things some major some minor that’s needed repair. Everything from the walkway to the bathrooms constant workmanship issues. And the response has been horrific I’m in two months now and still waiting for repairs to be completed. From spilling paint in carpet to, to broken cabinets in kitchen, to unleveled doors and crooked trim and every crooked placed Sheetrock and ripples in the ceiling. Its the contracted workers poor installment, as if they were unskilled. It has been so bad I’m been depressed about the entire move. It was the experience I thought I would have walking into my new home. Exceedingly disappointed. Positives are the home is gorgeous the materials appear to be quality and emphasize the beauty. The style and colors are a huge appeal, it looks classy. The pulte team is friendly and respectful prior to purchase very friendly. ... Más

Lack of detail on the property. So many things were wrong when I walked through but most of it has been fixed. Still needs painting and windows frames repaired. So many people to deal with.
