Overall its a good experiece!! Sales team was good but couldnt give us more options to choose. Field manager was responsive in most of the situations..but couldnt clarify or help in few things. Smart home set up is not user friendly or not clear from beginning. Guardian thinks they did good job but with all advanced technology out in market i dont think it is great.

Centex builders ensure homes are well built and affordable. All in all I would say I got great value for money paid considering its been a seller's market for a while now.

Timing was good and everyone is friendly

This subdivision has three developers, ashton woods, pulte, and centex (centex owned by pulte) Centex is the 'lowest' grade of these three builders. Quality is good and house has great bones/structure. Where centex missed on the build is the quality of the craftsmanship. Paint blotchiness, tiled grout in globs, floor trim not in alignment. All minor cosmetic items but when paying $$$$ quality should still be an area of importance.

I have been in the business of construction and seen a lot of builders come and go. I think the Centex for not being a very expensive home it is good quality and a good for the price. The company is good and reputable. I did not have any problems.

The Supervisor Cody was great. He is the reason for 4 Stars. Took care of issues personally that were within his ability. As for the home build / design: The master shower: No shower doors, not even a shower rod. This is a 70's design shower. The cabinets in the kitchen stopping at the refrigerator and not continuing across the top to the wall. Door knobs, hinges, cabinet handles and hinges are Satin Nickel (for which I like), kitchen and bathroom / shower faucets along with the towel racks are chrome. The base boards are left cut a 90 degs not cut on 45 degs and chaulking used to hide this. Using flat paint throughout the house, including the kitchen. I know I am leaving small things out. With exception of the baseboards, the next owners will never know this is the way Centex built the house. Over all, the house is nice. However: the shower and the kitchen cabinet is the biggest design dissapointment. ... Más

Everything is on their terms when it comes to options, deadlines, etc. The whole process is definitely in favor of the seller. I felt they rushed the closing about a week or two before the house was completely ready for move in. Overall I like my new home. There were just a few bumps along they way I would have rather done without.

This was my first Centex home. The salesperson was nice but slow to follow up with answers to questions. The finance reps in Tx and CO were exceptional once I understood neither office communicated with the other but the process was smooth compared to my last house. They receive 5 stars for that process. Justin, my field manager was beyond exceptional. He was extremely informative, texted photos of the building process and put my mind at ease. As for the craftsmanship, I found a few small errors that were corrected after I moved in and the others I hope will be completed at the 11 month mark. My only complaint is the shrubs died.. I was told on 3 occasions by the new field manager they would be replaced but as of today (9/14/21) it has not been replaced. I have 4 obvious empty holes in the flowerbed. The new guy Jason has been great and has a sense of humor. I must say I have been fortunate to have 3 of the best neighbors one could have. The builder Stephen was very friendly knowledgeable and helpful. Communication with the builder was perfect and easy. We love our house. The only inconvenience was the hardwood floors that need to be repair and some problems with the water heater. Overall Stephen was a great help! So far the best builder I’ve ever known.

Very responsive during the build, but not so much after the sale

I would say overall this seemed to be a good experience but certain issues definitely stand out. The home I suppose is a good build quality but there is warped drywall in certain areas and the concrete work in the garage and entryway , is terrible. The painters contacted too paint these homes did a laughable job at painting the main ceiling in the living and also upstairs. It had to be touched up multiple times. There is also paint on the stairway in one area. I would also add that for the premium price I personally would expect bbetter build quality,materials and workmanship

Experience was pretty streamlined and “painless”. Would recommend and biggest bang for your buck!

Cheap materials were used in this home and did close with some issues but builder did address all of them after closing. This helped improve the score from 3 to 4 stars

I don’t have any complaints about the process of having the home built but I do feel like we were treated like a dime a dozen with the closing process and when we listed some issues at closing that needed to be taken care of, they weren’t. We said that dirt needed to be brought in to fill holes in the fence, never happened. We had to buy our own dirt. We listed dead grass and were told they’d come in and replace them, never happened. We’ve had to buy fertilizer and hope that saved some of the dead grass. It’s just sad that the customer service doesn’t really stick once you’ve signed the paperwork. 3 months in the home and still do not have the refrigerator that we paid an upgrade for. And no phones to keep us up to date with information on it.

Biggest issue is the walls, crown molding, and base boards aren't all straight. There's also sloppy finishing work like caulking and paint

Some features were standard for the build as opposed to being upgrades and/or options with other builders. For example our granite kitchen counter top. I also enjoyed the the limited options regarding interior color selections. It made it more simple and not as overwhelming.

Our house was completed in the original estimated timeline. Our project manager, Thomas, was great and kept me updated throughout the process. I believe that because these houses are built so quickly caution is not taken to ensure things are as close to perfect as possible, which when you are spending this amount of money you would expect. We have noticed walls are not level and straight and at this point there is no fixing that. We have had other issues arise in the 2 months we have been living here also. Some of which have been addressed others are still out there lingering. Overall we are happy to be in our new home just be aware that if you are expecting top quality craftsmanship you will not get that here. At this point in time I can't say I wouldn't recommend Centex I would just caution buyers to think about their expectations when buying any tract built home. ... Más
