Our house was completed in the original estimated timeline. Our project manager, Thomas, was great and kept me updated throughout the process. I believe that because these houses are built so quickly caution is not taken to ensure things are as close to perfect as possible, which when you are spending this amount of money you would expect. We have noticed walls are not level and straight and at this point there is no fixing that. We have had other issues arise in the 2 months we have been living here also. Some of which have been addressed others are still out there lingering. Overall we are happy to be in our new home just be aware that if you are expecting top quality craftsmanship you will not get that here. At this point in time I can't say I wouldn't recommend Centex I would just caution buyers to think about their expectations when buying any tract built home. ... Más

One you move in you find all the things you wished you’d noticed before closing. Creaky floors, leaks, corners cut. The lack of pride in the work shows. Getting to closing is easy and they have nice people on the staff.

You can expect customer service and site managers to be great, but some of the contractors are out to make the most they can in as little time as they can. Things will have to be redone or fixed . We still have things that need to be redone or fixed properly.

Customer Service is awesome but the subcontractors work is subpar. (1) The sod was laid in a very sloppy manner, there are several sizes of gaps between patches. Now I have to pay to properly re-sod their sloppiness. (2) The front door was not properly sealed, you can see daylight when closed, you can feel the draft and that is after it was supposed to be fixed. (3) I have a problem with two of the breakers, they turn off for no reason and after two months I am still waiting for a call back from the warranty department. The appliances, even the upgraded appliances are terrible. We have had problems with all but the dishwasher. In the most simplest terms the appliances are crap.

The seller at the office was unresponsive and had poor communication. The project manager was nice and helpful.

The builder wasn’t helpful we had some scratch on kitchen he promised us to fix but he didn’t we call he didn’t answer

The whole process was very methodical... I liked it!

Most of the experience was good. Since moving in, getting some warranty issues dealt with is taking a little longer then I would like.

The painter and cleaning crew are sub par

While the homes are nice, ours has areas where you can tell the vendors rushed their jobs and even though things were somewhat fixed before move-in, there is a lot that wasn’t but you don’t notice until it’s too late. You expect your home to resemble the model home to some extent but the finishing work is not even close. While we are happy with our home, there are things we wish we would have addressed before we signed our final paperwork.

Make sure to ask lots of questions during the process & verify the answers they give you are correct. Inspect every aspect of the building process.

House is great. Looks nice and everything functioning properly as advertised.

Rough-in construction went great. Building manager is great but dealing with too many problems: Concrete driveway and garage floor problems, light fixtures come loose from ceiling, tile has to be fixed, smart home issues with front door and kitchen cabinets not installed correctly. It’s almost as their sub-contractors don’t care or get paid more for fixing the problems they create.

The house went up quickly and is absolutely beautiful. I feel like I'm living in a magazine. However, I cannot seem to get any of the repairs completed. I've been waiting for responses to my requests for weeks. People who are supposed to show up for appointments do not.

All the process was good and the house still good looking compare with the blueprint.

Still no sod, living around mud, apart continually being promised it will happen, "next week", for 2 months now. Not responsive to other small issues, got attitude instead of results.

We realize that a newly built house (fast tracked) there are always some problems which are tracked through a punch out list. This is ongoing, as it should be. Several individuals during the purchase of the property have been extremely helpful, and at times now are still a dependable resource. This is not our first house purchase and we expected a more transparent information process, deficiencies are noted and sent up through the proper channels. The problem is the lack of communication from the Project Manager; deficiencies are noted and the Myrtle Beach office tracks and sends a follow up email, but we cannot receive a timeline as to when these repairs are to be made, some have and we are grateful but others are still pending. The biggest cost in time and resources has been an incomplete back yard, this has cost us over $2000.00 and many man hours to take an area from downed trees and stumps to what it is now and should have been completed prior to our move in date. This started with the hiring of a certified surveyor to accurately mark our property lines; prior to our installation of an HOA approved fence. Since the purchased lawn irrigation system was not completed to the property lines, this also has been noted to the Myrtle Beach Office. The ratings given for Trustworthiness and Responsiveness to issues reflect our frustration(s) with the first few months in our new home. The sales process was outstanding and both the sales representative and construction manager were friendly, efficient and responsive. I love the home and the neighborhood. The customer service after the sale has been anything but good. I had a major plumbing issue almost immediately after move in. My yard was dug up and almost 3 weeks later it is still a wreck and I can't get anyone from the customer service department to communicate with me as to when the landscaping will be repaired.

After I moved in I a had a few minor issues and it took weeks for someone to contact after I reached out numerous times.

We have had many problems with the water heater, flooding/water entering the house, screws popping out, and siding coming undone.
