This is a very cheap house. The workmanship is poor, the fit and finishes are terrible. They put in several hundred square yards of grass, but put no irrigation system and didn’t offer one, although they said they did, at signing. I have been trying to keep the grass alive until I was able to get someone to install irrigation. I finally got it done and now the grass and trees are half dead and I’m trying to recover them. There was no lightbulb in the garage or the garage door opener. There are no medicine cabinets, no hand towel rods, no drawers in the bathrooms, you could drive a truck through the gaps in the locked doors, they used the cheapest shingles, there was spilled paint on the driveway, and in the garage, the cement on the edge of the garage, and the front porch is marred and has overspray, there was a hole. I could stick my foot through behind the dishwasher through to the outside of the house. It has been six weeks and the street in front of my house still has 2 inches of dirt in it, they planted two oak trees, 6 feet apart in the front yard. In 10 years, those trees are going to collide. Moved in 6 weeks ago, did not have an opportunity to a final inspection. Upon move we spoke to site manager and was told he would have these items taken care of. Sent several text to him to schedule, minimal response. I also put in a request two time on the web site for resolve and still have not heard from anyone. I have a sink faucet that is extremely loose, a hinge that is improperly installed, nail and wood chips in the stairwell, paint and spackle on the rugs, area of painting that were missed and a few other items. Some of these items were addressed in January at the first home inspection. My frustration level I'd getting higher. I would like for a principal to contact me and schedule a date to review these issues. My wife and I bought a new home and wish it to be a perfect as possible. Centex provides great size family homes, however building materials quality lacked. Very little lighting in dining area and great room. Many more recess lights should have been used. No decorative chandelier for over dining table area. Biggest issue was super large kitchen but no backsplash at all. Jist white on white. Also only one ceiling fan in the entire home. I now have to buy and install 4 more ceiling fans and put in a backsplash

Hi, I requested more than 15 warranties in less than two months living in the property. The answer has not been as quick as desired.

Likely decent quality build with poor finish work and follow up.

The buying experience was good. Pretty easy overall. I'm disappointed with the quality of finish and the quality of the products used in the house.

Very poor response to problems. I recommend that anyone purchasing a home, even brand new ones, hire their own inspector before signing any papers. Example foul odors.

Disappointed in the quality and workmanship for the price. Fit and finish is very poor.

Still waiting for electrician to address data port issue. Service ticket placed over a month ago. Baseboards are coming apart from the walls going up the stairs. Seal caulking on granite countertops is peeling.

Overall a cheap quality home. Everything in the home is basic and nothing is of great quality. Centex employees over promise and under deliver. I would never go for Centex again

Allica was a great help, being we were moving from a nother state Repairs upon walk through were noted by both my son & us. They were to be fixed prior to closing. We did not walk through again. After closing we went to the house and repairs were not done. Spoke with GC about repairs and higher ups by text messages. It has been 2 month with dry little done

Finish the house first 100% before you CLOSE, They will not prioritize you.

We have had water leaking in our ceiling initially they sent someone out right away but now can’t reach them to fix the drywall damage. We have barely been in our new home for a month and have already had a few issues. Not very happy with them not getting back to us in a timely manner.

The workers are inconsiderate, sloppy, rude and very messy. The cleaning people are non existent they may wipe down but DO NOT clean. Workmanship could take their time and do a lot of things better and not half way and messy. It should not be ALL on the warranty to try and get everything fixed that should have been done the right way the first time!!!

Well the actual process went of the house being built went ok I guess. My construction managers assured me that all the issues I was seeing would be fixed before closing. This is where my issue started. I was forced to close or have a daily penalty of $200/day until I did. All the while my sheetrock joints and many other things were not fixed as I was promised. I’ve been in my home for over a month and here’s a list of most of my biggest things that need fixed still. They seem to only want to fix one thing at the time and it takes weeks to get that one done. Sheetrock seems all over the house, many places in the trim work,from door doesn’t close properly, painter steps in paint and walked all over my back porch and garage,electrical issues, rust on my cement patio from nails being left on it in the rain, shower heads not directly above/in-line with the water knob. Cheapest paint you can buy was used. Many more I could continue with. As of right now I would not buy another home built by Centex ... Más

The layout of the floor plan was great. The sub contractors were sub par, had many issues unresolved at final walkthrough that were promised to be completed prior to closing, which were not. The materials used were very basic, many were of poor quality. Basic washer/dryer and refrigerator purchased by contractor for walk in ready package, which would not have been my choice of appliances. Lots of corners were cut, and are not very trustworthy.

Yes. Home is built in the time frame I was given, but the problems are that home is built so fast that they neglected building the house. I can feel the cold air coming from the wall and the floor, cabinets are barely reset- meaning I can see large gape between floor and the cabinets in the kitchen and all the bathrooms. Painter missed a lots of areas plus we even put blue tape on our walkthrough and still missed painting the wall and closets, there was a hole on the bottom of the entry door and garage entry door- field manager fixed it temporarily. Crack on master’s bathtub, window doesn’t close by the living room upstairs- lots of cold air coming in. Field manager is great- he try to help us with most of the stuff and I understand he is a busy man. I am not even sure that the cold air coming from outside the house can be fixed- heater is through gas so, it is causing more me to pay more for gas. I could keep on going but those are the things I have experienced. And I don’t even know if these problems will be fixed or not. ... Más

House was not ready when we moved in due to a building supervisor issue and have a horrible time getting responses to issues ( door not licking properly, closet doors not attached, fire alarms going off, no water pressure)

Builders team was great with updates.

Overall it was a good experience and happy with my new home. I wish builder would use better quality materials and would pay attention more to details. My honest opinion is that if in the future I will purchase new construction again probably not going to do it with Centex again.

The garage was unfinished and I was unhappy, now i like it

Its a nice house but definitely could have been done better. Lots of details that could have been done better. I have had to call several times already for repairs and work and I have just been here less than 2 months.

Leaks and pipe issues and its only been weeks. Cheap paint try to paint as soon as possible.

Nice Community to live in!
