The sales and design process was amazing. They answers all our questions, we’re responsive and took their time with us. Once the house was built, it has been exhausting and an exercise in futility to get items repaired/ fixed that should have been taken care of prior to settlement.

Overall, a good construction experience. One problem was coordinating construction decisions remotely from NC. Construction monitoring and reviews went more smoothly as we had relocated to a local apartment. Construction staff have been helpful in resolving minor issues. Frustrating issue is delivered KitchenAid refrigerator was not cooling/freezing correctly on day one. Although a loaner refrigerator has been provided, it is not what was ordered.

I was very pleased with the supportive process of purchasing with Del Webb/Pulte. This is my first new construction purchase. I love the floor plan and the outdoor space. I am excited to watch the community grow. My only disappointment is I expected a higher level of kitchen cabinetry considering the upgrade I selected and the cost. The under cabinets were not painted, Painting throughout the home was done poorly, and with a paint I would have preferred to be washable. The sales team, and building supervisors are wonderful. They are friendly, experienced, and supportive. They are in contact on a regular basis making this home buying experience exciting rather than worrisome. Thank you Howard, Garrett, and Nancy!! ... there is no attention to detail, no pride of workmanship in home building these days. So many little things done wrong, incomplete, and just substandard. We were told we could not change our closing date even though the builder was clearly not ready to close. We have been in our home almost two months now and are still waiting on “repairs.”

Overall the buying experience was ok. Very disappointed in the craftsmanship of the home. The design is great but the quality of the work was very sloppy. Our Field Manager has been wonderful in responding to our concerns but there are so many issues that have not been addressed and are out of his control.

Mgr was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. This is the 3rd new home we’ve built and while nothing is ever perfect, I would rate Pulte better than Toll. Fixing issues so far has been a little frustrating. Not the fault of our warranty manager, but all the moving parts and delays with labor and materials.

The building experience with our project manager during the building process was very adequate. The finishes however were totally unacceptable upon our move-in. There was spilled paint all over the floor from when they did touchup paint, The trim around the doors looked like somebody used a rock to cut the trim with at the bottom, there was grout painted over on baseboards, The house was filthy had not been cleaned except for rough clean there was no final clean we had to clean the house our self, the crown molding was unacceptable at six different joints that still need to be fixed, there was missing paint in several locations on walls, the corners did not have proper caulking at the base. There are many other issues that we are trying to work through with both the construction project manager and now the warranty project manager. I myself was in the construction trade as a project manager and general superintendent for several large commercial companies. I have turned over more than 2000 units and have never turned over one looking like our home debt. These units include hotels condos and apartment complexes. It was totally unacceptable and for the price that was paid was very disappointing. We did not get a half million dollar home. Completely dissatisfied.! ... Más

Bruce was wonderful to work with from a sales perspective. He kept us informed of the progress of the construction, even there were issues. Pulte: The building structures; walls and roof trusses, are manufactured off-site so, there is no opportunity to make minor adjustments in locations of doors, wall layouts, etc., to accommodate specific homeowner desires. Low voltage wiring, internet and coax cabling scope of work does not include completion of cable terminations at access panel. Homeowner is required to hire a separate contractor / vendor to make these terminations. Rough grading of development leads to significant slope differences between houses. When the final grading is completed, the slopes and distances between the adjacent houses created sharp V at the property lines, which will make installation of fences and mowing of lawns more difficult. The final grade materials and installation of sod leaves ridges, it does not appear that it is rolled after installation to even out and secure the sod to ground. Response time to warranty items take a longer than needed time to resolve, even when contractors are on site working on adjacent houses. ... Más

Overall home construction very good. Finish work lacks craftsmanship and attention to detail. Warranty service department did provide us with good customer service with the issues identified after the final walk through. Warranty service call technicians very professional, arrived on time and fixed all of the identified issues.

I was fine with the experience until we closed on the home. We got to the house and it was very obvious that the house was not cleaned. I had to vacuum/sweep the entire house and the screened porch. My husband has continued to find various things like nails, cigarette butts, old cups, plastic spoons and various trash around the outside of the property. We did not have that sign stating it is a private residence placed in our yard like the other homes on our block. There were drips of paint on the bathroom high window, the garage windows. There was a long strip of leftover wood on the floor behind our stove. My husband had to break off a nail that was in the bathroom cabinet that was sticking out. Our gas was turned on but the valve outside had to be turned on. We put the heat on and the stove and nothing came through. My husband had to do what should have been done before we closed. Very disappointed that at the end, there were so many issues. It leaves a bad taste in our mouths. You pay a good deal of money for this home and to have it end like this was very disappointing. ... We're happy for the most part with our purchase. There is buyer's remorse when it comes to having some of the warranty work scheduled as well as the amount of items that needed to be addressed. That said, the workers who do come out for the vendors are very good thus far. Some of the work has a shoddy quality to it. There was also a lack of care to protect flooring during work with paint, etc. left on the floors for us to clean or try to clean off. We do love the Brickstone Club amenity center and happy hours. Plus not having to do yard work or snow shoveling is great. The 55+ community is wonderful here. ... Más

Did not like having to blind bid on the land.. lot should have a price, take it or leave it.. bidding is just a giant money grab.. good for Pulte but bad for buyers.. another example of corporate greed

Not my first time buying. Very stressful. I understand supply chain issues, but it was a year building process. The salesman was very good and I had good communication with him. The project manager was not in touch with me unless I wrote him. I am surprised at the workmanship of some items (tiles, caulking). I have a list of issues to be addressed, closed a month ago.

Homes built at breakneck speed with little if any attention to detail. Painters have no idea what a drop cloth is, and I spent a few hours myself doing additional caulking and paint touch up. Some exterior left unpainted. Biggest issue was concrete floor and garage cracks. Project manager despite the above was awesome and clearly cared for customer concerns, issues pointed out during build were attended to immediately. Hopefully warranty reps. will be same (TBD).

The buying experience was great but it seems that the organization is either not staffed for a quick response or not interested in resolving issues promptly.

First and foremost, we're very happy with our house. We love it. We would do it all over again. We think it's a well-built house and a very good price, and the Pulte folks were very pleasant to work with. The design of the house is perfect for us. Pulte has quite a remarkable system for cranking out these houses. Where things fell short was in the finish work. A lot of it is shoddy and appears to have been done by people who were in a hurry and/or weren't really skilled at what they were doing. So far, Pulte's customer service has been pretty good about fixing things, but there are still several things that need to be corrected, and things that can't practically be corrected. We also encountered issues with grading/drainage on the lot and are still working that out. So we're not blown away ecstatic, but we are generally pretty happy about the way it turned out. ... Más

Pulte mortage was the worst experience in the 20 homes I have purchased in my life. Del Webb no longer cares to take calls and follow up on repairs needed. I gave up. Hope my neighbors enjoy the dead plants in my yard.

I feel there needs to be a quality control process that ensures that one process is completed before another begins. I had an experience where my shower floor was not ready to be tiled. It was tiled when there was a hollow area around the drain. Not what you would expect for a $500,000 home.

Overall we are happy with the new house. We are a little disappointed, however, with the number of issues needing attention after closing, and the slow response to getting the repairs made.

Had Lot of delays from product availability and manpower. Did get me in to new home before booted out of old one. Quality was not job 1. Walls not square, certainly noticeable on tile flooring. Notice more defects as time goes by.

Thank you for a lovely house. It is strange that you supply us with paperwork urging us to use a ph neutral cleaner on our grout and floors BUT then we find that your final clean-up crew does not use these type of cleaners. Being on the same page would make sense ( at least to us ). AND the carelessness of your painters would have also helped. We eventually had to do the "final" floor cleaning ourselves ( with the proper cleaner ). We have nothing in writing BUT we were told that "eventually" we would have our window screens. It would be nice to air out the house, so I hope this is true ( eventually ).The absence of product brochures is annoying and more care should be given to make sure these are supplied. for every product supplied, We do feel that the overall quality of the home is apparent and we are happy with our purchase. ... Robert was great. Tim listened to our concerns but was hamstrung with the low skills of the labor pool. Design of home was great however don't expect to be allowed to make electrical or plumbing changes. (electrical outlets in wrong positions, both outside water faucets are on front sides of home, none in rear). Drywall finish in certain areas leaves a lot to be desired. Again this goes back to the quality and pride of those in the labor pool. Overall I would not hesitate to purchase again even though I know I must spend a lot of time finishing the home's interior.

My experience was good, disappointed that home is not “Senior” friendly.

House was very dusty with spackle dust when I moved in . HVAC was not working properly but since has been repaired. Sod was not watered well before I moved in and is dried out in patches. Otherwise I am happy with the house and love the neighborhood.
