Drees offers some great floor plans and the model homes will for sure get you hooked, however, some of their subs could have been more dedicated to their workmanship. Additionally, it would have been nice of Drees and the head of construction to take into consideration the homeowners intent to purchase. For instance, do not run utility service lines down the middle of a pool-sized backyard forcing the new homeowner to incur costly expenses to move those lines in order to put in a pool. Drees has built a quality home!

Drees builds a solid house, but they need to pay attention to the details and their contractors. When you buy a $1.5 million dollar home, you shouldn’t have to worry about brick defects or scratches on window frames, shelves, and gutters. Also, concrete work had many defects, scratches, and cracks. Drees does their best to make things right, but if they just slowed down and focused more on details they’d be great. Still probably one of the best builders in the area.

Overall, we are happy with the home. For the most part, it seems like a quality home. I am not pleased with the customer service though. Over two months since we closed/moved in, we still have outstanding items from our final walkthrough that have not been fixed. That is unacceptable. In addition, we have had some items come up since moving in that are covered under the warranty, and those items are taking some time to get completed. The line of communication needs to be better.

A lot of minor to major imperfections in worksmanship for the price paid. Needs a lot more babysitting to point out issues and they atleast 2-3 visits to get fixed.

They need to work on finding better contractors with better quality work.

We are still waiting for a few things to be fixed and it’s been over two months. There are also a few quality issues in some if the cabinetry.

While the overall experience of buying a Drees home was very nice, the attention to detail was lacking from the construction and paint crew. We are still finding things that were either damaged during construction or left unfinished. THE ONE THAT ANNOYS ME THE MOST: The sides of the kitchen cabinets were scratched up by the guy who had installed the stove hood vent. The hood was installed after the final walk through because they had the wrong one at the time. We didn't notice it until a few weeks after moving in. Very annoying to say the least.

Hard to get them to come back and fix anything after closing. Going ok two ( 2 ) months to fix a water leak and the issue is still not resolved.

Overall, we are pleased with the house. There have been a lot of issues related materials and workmanship. Issues include: - Cabinets - bowed walls - wall in garage should be replaced - Trim - Paint - horrible caulking throughout the house - a few other small items

Once you close on the house and notice any issues they are slow to follow-up. You'll get told whatever they think you want to hear. Three plus emails about the same issues are three to many.

This is a hard review to give because we love our home and it’s beautiful. However, there are still unfinished items and things that need to be done. COVID hasn’t helped but Drees should have back up options to deal with this as they have had over a year to adjust. I feel like they give priority to homes under construction but once you close, you become an afterthought.

Drees took care of issues every time but sub cons were not careful.

You have to keep them on their toes.

Overall it is a house. Other than that, the quality of the work and the materials used are sub par. You would expect at this price level that you wouldn't need to have a punch list a mile long. It is like the construction manager had no eyes. I had to point out issues as the home was being built and they still missed a great deal. They have no attention to detail.

We bought the house over phone calls and e-mails. Reagan was amazing and so was Preston. The financing part was a disaster through the lending company. And when we got the house, there were some basic things that were not thought of well for a 2022 home like electric outlet outside the house, outlets for security system, conduit for internet intake to make the house fiber optic ready and so on. It was very disheartening, and almost made us regret the purchase, but we’ll it’s too late and we are trying to make the best out if it.

The experience we had is probably no worse than other builders in this current environment of limited supplies and labor.

Poor communication with what is included in your home versus what was seen in model. Everything was an add on! Not built with senior living in mind. More focus on the details- sales office mediocre at best with direct follow-up and communication. Sent incorrect information on utilities, title location. For the value of this home very average service, this includes the design center. We had a solid onsite supervisor and hope our home was built to surpass our expectations.

Mixed process with builder. Unimpressed with quality of build and the number of problems that have come up after just 2 months.

Wouldn’t purchase a Drees home again, overall bad experience. There are other builders where you can get more for your money and still have the same quality & craftsmanship.

Eventually you do end up with a really nice home, but manage your expectations of the process.
