A willingness to fix issues with the home

The sales associates don’t really have an idea of how long it will take to complete the build. I was told it’ll be done in November and I ended up receiving my keys Thanksgiving week.

After our 30 day of occupancy, we still have incomplete items from initial walk-thru. These include cabinet replacement and scratches. There are also paint touch ups and door sanding and painting that need to be completed. We must say we are very disappointed in interior door and cabinet quality. The stucco and paint repairs to popouts were very sloppy. The wrong paint was used. You can see exactly where repairs were made. These concerns remain on on the punchlist.

A struggle to get follow up after move in. Small repairs are difficult to get addressed. Can’t file work orders if they don’t close the last one. Only one request can be submitted at a time, even if they ignore your current request, your blocked from reporting issues, such as small leaks and it seems they are just very busy.

Our closing date was pushed back 2 months because of covid. We were lied to about our appliances. Our appliances were not ordered until the day AFTER our orientation. They’ve never come back to fix little things that were supposed to fixed at the 30 day mark. Other than that, the home is gorgeous and we are very happy that everything worked out.

overall good company to purchase a home for but once home purchase within the first week there where some issues with plumbing, and some other areas in the house like tile issues not have the spare paint that i was told to complete touch ups and the bathroom door in the master doesn't lock where currently still waiting to have repaired which currently has been around over 1 month going to 2. enjoying the house overall hope can get this things repair in a timely manner.

We love our new Fulton Home. The smart home features are great. General workmanship is solid. We have had a few issues. One small electrical issue that is to be expected with a new home. Issue with sliding glass door, which seems that it may be a recurring issue due to materials used. Fulton could be quicker in response time. Overall, Marlin and all of the contractors have been great to work with.

Way too many repairs needed for a new home from grout on the baseboards that is still there to crooked installation of shower wand. Wrong color on the outside and garage door not completely painted. In areas not sealed by garage door and service door. Way too many things to list. Just sad you spend this much money on a new home and have so many things to fix and response time is very slow.

To many we made a mistake at the design center after completing the process. Home walk through was the worst experience ever and we built 4 homes prior to this one. Home was not show ready and had to have contractors come back and forth for two weeks.

the finishes and the cosmetic issues inside the home have been overwhelming and not addressed.

My wife and I had an amazing home buying experience with the Fulton Team. However, once we moved into our home, we kept noticing small (and some big things) that were carelessly done. As we continue to clean and inspect our home, we are finding more and more of these small little imperfections that continue to feed some of our frustrations. The worse has been the HVAC system. This is a brand new system that shouldn't be experiencing issues yet we've had to schedule 4+ appointments and take time off work in which the service technician either never shows up or they show up hours after the time frame set during the appointment booking. Issues with the HVAC system have resulted in our bill being (if not exceeding) $300. We've also had to have several other things in our home repaired or replaced. For some of these appointments, they didn't come with any of the necessary tools to complete the job (despite providing them with thorough explanations of what was wrong AND submitting pictures). In some cases, the person that was supposed to show up to fix something never showed up. So once again, I blocked out my day to be home for the service engineer to be stood up; once again, an entire day wasted. We love our home, we just wished they took more care making sure things were neatly done so buyers don't have to submit so many work requests. ... Más

I would not recommend Fulton Homes. The attention to detail is very very poor…especially for the prices they charge. The contractors they hire just go through the motions to get the job done and get out as fast as they can and move unto the next house. I do have to say the framing and Sheetrock were very good quality. There are still issues that need to be addressed at my home. I have written reports on the portal for issues with the house. It seems like there is no urgency with the contractors to come back. One superintendent name Justin seems to take ownership in a lot of the issues with the house but communication is poor. There was some issues with one superintendent named Keith when I was at my property before it closed. He actually verbally yelled at me twice, two different situation, which were not my fault. he does not represent Fulton Homes my opinion. It was totally unprofessional on his part as a homeowner spending close to 800 K. It was totally unacceptable. And I’m still not very happy about that situation. At the walk-through on the final day, they try to push you to sign off as quick as possible, which was very uncomfortable. I am knowledgeable about building being an engineer and have built several homes in the past and I do understand the process of building homes. During the home orientation process, we expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the Cabinetry installed in the home. The only explanation given is sometimes the Vendor changes the materials used. Wouldn't it make sense to also update the material located at the design center so that you know exactly what you are ordering. During the walk through you go through your home with a fine tooth comb and mark everything that needs to be addressed, only to find that only 20 percent was really addressed. By the time all the areas marked with a certain color tape were addressed, they had fallen off or not done at all. We order special items at the design center to be installed after the move in, the company doing the installation only gets a partial work order, because someone forgot to add the rest of the items ordered (now two days of time off work lost). The installer did such a horrible job and complained of having to do the install, we had to have another installer come by and fix what he did. 30 days later with no phone call to let us know how this issue was going to be addressed, I called Customer Service and our representative for our subdivision told me that this was an issue between us and the Vendor. We have open service orders that are still waiting to be addressed since 04/30/2021 with no communication as to when this may be taken care of. We are just a number to the Fulton Builder, so we have taken a number to see if and when we will be taken care of. ... Más

Quality of kitchen cabinets is very poor. These are not custom cabinets as were advertised by seller. If known these were the cabinets that were being installed, would not have bought this house.

Our home design is beautiful. However there are many minor discrepancies and flaws. With that being said, the team does not hesitate to repair or address any of our issues.’ The idea of the craftsmanship is great but the execution of the craftsmanship is mediocre.

Fulton Homes has strict guidelines that didn't allow me to add a fourth bedroom within the ten day period. Within that period I asked to move the service door and this could not be done. Overall the home has good value and the people were pleasant to work with!

Once the home is brought to a basic standard it will be beautiful. A laundry list of exterior stucco issues and paint issues with multiple visits to address with issues still outstanding. Specifically finish around exterior doors and sliders. Gaps and in some cases outright holes. Had a listelle installed in shower/bathroom, looked like it was installed without tools. Bathroom shower door installed up upside down. Have had new builds before and was coming from a Fulton home and have never experienced anything like this. As I observe the area being built out around me the crews are rushed. I expected higher level of workmanship at these price points. The saving grace has been the responsiveness of the Fulton project representative Jim. ... Más

The sales office was always responsive and helpful (Thank you Jennifer and Albert!). I liked the project manager in the beginning. He was responsive and took the time to walk through the home with me and kept me up to date. Halfway through we got another project manager (Scott) and to say the least I was less than thrilled & things went downhill from there. He was less than helpful with his 'pat on the head' promises. I felt like he constantly talked down to me in a condescending way. He smelled horrible all the time (like a dirty ashtray). I found myself trying to stand across the room from him and hold my breath. Needless to say, many of his "yeah, I'll come back over and take care of that" promises never happened. Right after I closed he disappeared thankfully and was replaced by someone else (Patrick) who is responsive and finally getting things done. He is fantastic and really a nice guy who generally cares. Thank you Patrick! As far as the quality, for a $500k home it's a bit disappointing... this is not the first home I've built in this price range. I feel like it was slapped together at the last minute. There are issues that I had asked to be fixed prior to closing that were ignored. I have holes next to outlets that were filled in with mud haphazardly and never sanded - just painted over. The painters left paint splatter and overspray all over the house, overspray on the fridge, the tub fixtures don't even line up with one another. I have some sort of epoxy/glue stuff stuck in my kitchen sink and on my counters which won't come off. A company came to replace the stove vent hood and left a complete mess all over the counters and stove. I had multiple cabinets cracked and damaged due to carelessness that still have yet to be fixed. Overall, the quality of the sub-contractors has been disappointing. Is there no pride of work anymore? How do you go into someone's home and leave damage and a mess like that? I bought a Fulton home because of their local reputation and because of the location. I will not buy another Fulton home after this due to the lack of quality. Buyer beware. I did not get the quality of a $500k home. When we were purchasing the home, we were placed in a waiting list with other builders while Fulton Homes stated they take pride in not having a waiting list or lottery on their lots. When the work force and material shortage occurred, Fulton could not get homes complete in a timely manner. The other builders that I passed on where I was called on for the waiting list were completing homes months faster than Fulton because they were manageable and not excessive. Fulton's "pride" ended up costing me additional percentage points on my rate since it took longer to build and rates continued to go up. Our superintendent onsite was great and has been very responsive to issues we have had. But Fulton Homes cost me more than other builders since they told me it would take 8-10 months to build and ended up taking 14 months. ... Más

I’m extremely disappointed on how the community pool has not been built. HOA keeps going up. The main reason I purchased was to have a community pool and it is taking to long. There are other communities that have a pool.

We love our home. The home is perfect. The salesmen and formen...foremen not so great. There were lots of delays due to building material issues but no one kept in touch with us or informed us of anything that was happening. Our calls were rarely returned and the foremen was rude as if we were bothering him for asking for updates on our home that had been delayed 6 months past the expected delivery date. We did not feel valued at all.

Overall we had a positive experience with Fulton. The sales team was great throughout the process and in the end we are happy with our product. Unfortunately there are a couple things that brought our rating down. 1. To me, the building in the neighborhood was incredibly miss managed. At the time, Fulton was one of the only builders who wasn’t limiting the build starts. This lead to major issues once the material supply issues hit. Many houses in the neighborhood sat at the framing stage in the elements not dried in for months. 2. During the process a few questions came up that the sales team couldn’t answer. The questions were escalated promptly, but it took myself and the sales team multiple follow ups to get an answer, and when we did it was short, condescending, and uninformative. In the end I would probably buy from Fulton again, but I don’t believe they lived up to the quality reputation they have had in the past. ... Más

Been in our home and can barely get workers to come fix what needs to be fixed. When someone comes in to fix things from walkthrough, something else needs to be fixed from something else getting broke.

They use mostly subcontractors as I guess it's usual in the industry but the level of responsiveness and accountability when something was wrong, depends on the professionalism of that subcontractor engaged. If the subcontractor is good, things are fixed and Fulton takes credit, but If there's a failure on the subcontractor part, the customer care team and specially the project manager collapses to a state of unresponsiveness and negligence.

I need more space to write exact details, but we were lied to several times during the process. The communication was some if the worst I've ever experienced. The home is beautiful, the quality is great. However I would strongly recommend Mr Fulton take a deep dive into the integrity of the Escalante sales team.
