Muy decepcionado. Me animaron a comprar una casa en las Highlands por la calidad y la reputación de su mano de obra, pero esto no es lo que he experimentado. La calidad de los productos utilizados es de un material de muy baja calidad, la moldura de madera de la casa tiene imperfecciones, nudos y protuberancias muy notorias y es muy áspera provocando que la pintura se desprenda constantemente. El fregadero de la cocina se oxidó de inmediato, se reemplazó rápidamente, pero sigue siendo un acero inoxidable de baja calidad, por lo que se mancha y mancha y si se coloca una sartén en él durante un minuto, se oxida el fregadero, nunca he tenido nada de mi acero inoxidable. los lavabos hacen esto. Los pisos parecen una tabla de lavar, muy desnivelados se ven terribles además todavía tienen pegamento que no han podido quitar después de tres intentos. Highland me dijo que no puedes conseguir concreto y que solo puedes alisar una parte de un área con la extensión del brazo humano. Realmente esto es un insulto para mi inteligencia, me han instalado pisos de baldosas y madera en mis casas anteriores y no se veía así, hay productos para prevenir esto cuando se hace correctamente. El cielo raso y las paredes muestran mal los defectos los techos tienen ondas esto se produce cuando la placa de roca no se hace correctamente. Se han solucionado muchos problemas, como uno de los muchos trabajos de baldosas que se rompieron en la instalación, donde simplemente se colocaron lechada entre las rupturas en lugar de reemplazarlos. El trabajo de concreto en la entrada principal y en el patio es terrible, la entrada fue restaurada dos veces pero todavía se ve horrible, así que con todo esto ahora me preocupo por la integridad de la losa. Cuando fui a limpiar las ventanas, encontré dos moscas que estaban allí cuando pintaron y simplemente pintaron sobre la parte superior de las moscas. Claramente, los contratistas que utilizan también son de bajo nivel y, obviamente, no les importa y nadie de Highland se preocupa ni supervisa a estos contratistas. Las persianas que instalaron son las más baratas posibles, quieren permanecer en su lugar. No tengo confianza en la calidad, estabilidad e integridad de esta casa. Siento que con tantas cosas mal que hemos visto y que todavía estamos encontrando, cuántas cosas importantes están mal que no podemos ver y que aún no han salido a la luz. se desmoronará después de que termine la garantía y antes de que deba hacerlo. Es muy decepcionante y me ha estresado mucho y me ha hecho imposible disfrutar de mi nuevo hogar. Creo que la cantidad de dinero que se pagó por esta casa garantiza mejores productos y mano de obra. We have been in our home for less than half a year. We have had to chase our builder down to fix the mistakes they made/left - prior to moving in, we had an inspector come out to our home. We were informed that all items on the inspection report had been addressed. I made the mistake of trusting highland homes. It has been about 5 months and we are still dealing with issues in this home. I wish we never purchased this home.

Low quality materials and not clear plan picture manager doesn't know details about plan hights and all, felt very bad experience after spending 500k, nobody comes for proper service after moving and payment completed

They do not respond to customer complaints! My house had several issues, plumbing( leaking pipes, grout cracks in shower, and around primary tub, they damaged my guest tub and tried to patch it up thinking that I would not notice. Drywall unleveled through out the house, driveway damaged, gate handle bent, kitchen cabinet under stove does not open. Kitchen and bathroom cabinets damaged!!! Several windows damaged, sensors fell off the windows. I could go on but I am so frustrated. All of this is as before I closed. They were supposed to fix the items. Kept getting the run around from the project manager!!! Lies basically!!! We will take care of it. Set up a several dates for availability and no response! Only when they want to be available? The is no miscommunication, just lack of accountability from the builder. Yesterday my family member was at the house all day and only the grout guy showed up. The cabinet, paint, tub guy to fix the tub…concrete guy for the driveway. It’s been two months. I just made the first payment on a lemon! I have made several complaints. I bought new home from Highland. I got new home inspection which revealed to many issues. One cracked living room window, 3 heat resistance destroyed living room windows because of Argon gas loss. Every tone of black with Kitchen cabinets, non-working drawers, chips etc. Not polished properly kitchen countertop. No proper slope for garden and all rain water sits in the center of it. Non-working vents on bathroom. Very noisy fan hood in kitchen. Very noisy refrigerator. Cracking garage door which inside white outside dark grey, painted by Highland which causes blown fuse to many times. Garage door technician came and told me because of Highland painted the outside of garage door instead of ordering them on the correct color, paint sticks between parts and he removed some of the paint. Now I can see white lines between dark grey plates from outside. Some of these problem was fixed but I still have cracking garage door problem and noisy vent hood problem although I followed Highland team to many times. I am not sure how the home builder which is known one of the best of country provides so low quality control in their product before delivering to customer. Bought a move-in ready home and remote closing (lived out of state). Have a few issues in the home and the construction manager (CM) is not responsive. For example, the screws on the garage door lever/arm fall apart (Yes, in a brand new house!!) and the lever got disengaged from the rails. CM didn't take it seriously for quality of the product that was delivered and he refused to cover it under warranty. Moved-in late January and still some of the issues in the house have not been fixed. Not a great expereince and we couldn't justify the premium paid to purchase a home from Highland!!

Such a shame. Our first home in Texas was a Highland Home so when we decided to downsize to a townhome we purchased a Highland Home. This was a disastrous mistake!!! Everything from the salesperson to building team has been negative. I do not want to ramble on an on because I definitely could with all of bad experiences. I will just say this. The materials and the craftsmanship are TERRIBLE. Its a battle to fix these things and I don't think it will ever be as it should be. I'm very sorry we closed on this townhome. We should have not moved forward and lost our deposit.

I wish I had good things to say about my home. I was incredibly invested, spent quite literally hundreds of hours doing research, reading contracts, working with my builder on the home, and trying to build relationships with the Highland team. I've never felt like my partner in any project put forward so little effort as Highland did across the board. I was talked down to by my sales person, ignored by my design center specialist, and lied to by my construction manager. On top of all of that, once I left reviews and messages for management, I never got a call back to address any concerns I had. From my experience (first and the LAST) with Highland homes is that they used very very cheep materials. we moved in little over a month now, the master bedroom closet where we hang clothes fell off with the metal bar, on the other side the brackets bending down and the wood piece coming off the wall. both garage doors making scary noise when goes up. kitchen entry door from garage always hits the pantry doors, also highland painted the door hinges. first of all I believe using dead cheep materials and poor supervision caused these issues,

Do your research regarding EVERY home builder, the craftsmanship, the integrity, the build and do not just go off beautiful model homes or beautiful, new communities. Do your research on WHO you can expect living in a brand new area, try to avoid sales talk at all times and be your own salesperson / get a team you personally trust who will have your best interest at heart. Build with a company who builds fairly, prices fairly even if it is more than you want it to be, but focus on all the small details, quality, the different crews and how they treat your property, and any and all members who you have to deal with along the way making sure you state your requirements and expectations. Don't let too much time go by wasted without a lack of responses, handing things poorly with communication, quality, and dealing with non-English speaking individuals who will only make it stressful for you and the environment. Document everything, take pictures of everything, and if your budget is being overstretched, consider going with another reputable, high-quality, more designer so you can actually get what you want and what you expected from the beginning. LOCATION and area is everything, and who is all going to live in your community. Keeping in mind HOA will not do much nor help much at all even though you pay them each month - they are only there to ensure the community looks pretty, stays uniformed and has events to celebrate. ... The experience was horrible! The quality and lack of carelessness has been the worst. I have bought new houses before and have never experienced this lack quality.

Wish I could say better things - but very disappointed overall.

It has been a very disappointing experience. Many issues to fix with the house after moving in. Very poor paint job in some of the rooms, issues with plumbing, the dishwasher wasn't installed properly and leaked on to the floor. The flooring needed replacing after this, but 6 weeks later it still hasn't happened. A light fixture in the kitchen has been broken for 4 months. No replacement in sight. I now dislike my home because of the experience the builder has given me.

Things not completed on time. Poor workmanship. Poor delivery. Poor quality of craftsmanship. Poor commitment to homeowner! No ETA. After 3 months into the home, still have so many issue pending. You have forced me to decide that I don't want to live in this house for longer than I have to. No one even thinks like that for a rental home.

We had great expectations when we initially signed in for Highland homes at Lakewood at Brookhollow, prosper but later our experience with the sales and the builder turned to be the worst. It is unfortunate even after paying such a hefty price for the new home by Highland we had to face such an ordeal and still struggling to get many issues fixed. All the work is contracted and there is no proper inspection of the work post completion by the contractor. House was handed to us with many pending issues. The builder took advantage of the fact that we were not in a position to reschedule the closing and left many open items unaddressed. No proper response even after repeated follow up. No proper information provided. Pragmatic living conditions not taken into consideration. Many upgrades were ignored and we had to specifically point out and get the rework done. Almost 50+ days of closing and we still have many unsolved/unaddressed issues. ... Más

I would never buy a Highland home again and would recommend anyone buying a new home to find another builder. The sales team is unresponsive, the Highland lending team (which they incentivize you to use) is incompetent, and the quality of work for the actual house is far less quality than you would expect for paying such a high price. We’ve had multiple things wrong with the house, damage to our personal property, and 2 months in to purchasing the house we still have so many things to fix. I wish we never bought a home from Highland and I will never again.

Highland Homes are beautiful but they seem to lack the quality a home at this price point deserves. From small things like caulking, cabinets, landscaping and heating and cooling. The buyer really has to pay attention to the whole home. I feel like I needed an inspector with me as I went thru the home. Highland has a great reputation but the experience was a major let down. There should be a quality manager that ensures the workmanship meets Highland Homes standards and reputation.

Highland homes used cheap third party companies to do their work like plumbing etc. it’s all lazy work and we found many issues after we moved into the new house. They didnot fix any issues that we have raised . They just say yes to your request and will not implement them later. Totally waste of money and we are extremely disappointed with the purchase. Please stay away from highland homes even when you are getting a better price because you will have to pay for repairs due to cheap quality

Sia and Miya were horrible in the end!! The beginning was great!! Until they received our money then it was crickets, no response to any emails no returned phone calls or texts. Daniel started off slow with responding but ended up being awesome.

Not Great experience with Highland Homes

If i do have a choice I will not buy any highland homes, they never mentioned all throughout the home construction and buying process that I bought a house beside sewer facility, The only time i knew when I send my own inspector a day prior to closing. There are so many unwated experience during construction process. They respond poorly for any warranty.

there are so many mistakes and issues in home we can literally tell it just by looking at it, the builder assigned to us is not cooperative at all, in some situations he is adament and not willing to fix the fundamental problem , we still have so many outstanding issues that are not taken care properly from Paint, Irrigation issues etc... I hope Highland home sees this review and gets back to me to resolve those issues..

I am not totally happy with the construction process which has too many flaws. People who worked on the home are not skilled and that is bad.

I’m verbally your staff have never been helpful at all , we still have some issues that we had addressed when we made the deal , till now not fixed
