3 months delay caused a closing on a higher interest rate. Finishing wasn't that good. Everything in the house is a standard and you have to pay to upgrade, upgrades only cost me $31k. Little details could make difference and help me save money such as adding a towel hanger next to the shower. But one employee can change your experience and I have to thank the superintendent Bobby who delivered my house, he is super nice and professional.

Overall, KB Homes did a good job of helping us to move into our new home. I do wish the material/workmanship was better, but most issues have been fixed. Consequently, we are glad to be in our new home.

The overall experience was bumpy… we started the process oct 2021 and didn’t close until Dec 2022. Which, in that period of time had no contact with anyone to update on the status of the home process. And, the closing date was moved multiple time. It took me driving by the house everyday from the time the slab was started until it was basically close to completion. Then I started getting updates that weren’t updates, they were pictures from old work. I dove by and walked through the house everyday getting my own updates and seeing progress. The process of getting the loan finalized and necessary paper work done was a breeze, Kim was fantastic. Up to the days getting closer to closing, I feel like a lot of work on the house was getting rushed and quality was going down keeping us from closing in time. Our construction manager was awesome! He did a great job trying to keep everything under control. Closing went smooth, we were told that they would do a one month follow up and come through and touch up paint and fix stuff that needed addressed, that never happened. Fast forward to Jan 23, we developed a water leak in the kitchen above the sink on the ceiling. Called warranty and they were on it. ... Más

I feel the final product of the home was rushed. I felt there was definitely a push to close on the house and make the sale in order to meet 2022 goals for the company. Our superintendent did a first time walkthrough and the kitchen island was not yet completed the medicine cabinet was not installed in the guest bathroom. We’ve lived in the home for 2 months and have noticed drywall cracking on the ceiling, gray paint marks on the white walls. I just feel like the subcontractors and laborers were rushed to finish the job.

I am just ok with overall experience ,materials wasn’t as expected but in studio I forget her name but she helped us to choose really good things for home and also our Leander was also very helpful In the interior many more small things left incomplete.they have lot of cleaning issue,

I provided the issues what I have seen before the closing and only couple of issuse were fixed until now. Provided all issues to the warranty guy as well and no repsonse until now. Construction is pretty below standards. It’s been littke over a month for me the new house and I see new issues which I am listing out currently.

My begining experience was very good but contractor and building experience is frustate. Material for make this house low quality I didn' any kb homes people to toldk about low quality materials and contractor alwys make me frustate . I closed my november 25 2022 but contractor installed blinder and screen fully . Contracotr installed blinder last 1/20/233 and screen last 10 days but not fully and lot of small issue have to fix but contractor don't do another issue contractor use electric wire out of wall on my garage door . it can't be even he didn't use any cover for electric wire. KB has very attractive advertised features. The workmanship is the process to remedy issues is slow. Most dissapointing is a contractually mistake they've made without fixing the issue. However they also refuse to say they won't fix it so that I can move to arbitration. Delayed responses and promises to return calls are typical even with time sensitive departments like KB's mortgage team.

House is unfinished. Had to claim warranty to fix around the house.

Was a long process. Home is good, but some of the workmanship can be better.

Things seemed a little rough at first. Now, things are being done to get the house in great shape. Everybody is very nice, trying their best to be accommodating.

Elaine who sold the home to me was and has been great! Logan as also and has been awesome too. Everything else has been okay. The communication during construction was mediocre at best. It took longer than anticipated in building and the quality control was not there either. During my first walkthrough prior to closing their were quite a few items that were missed. Also with me being out of town 95% of the time just added more to the confusion of when completion was anticipated. A few items to note are that I am waiting on my garage door panels to be replaced. I have had to reschedule in order to accommodate my schedule. But none the less, my garage door was dented and should have been caught in KB Homes walkthrough prior to my arrival. ... Más

This is my experience with the KB home buying process and current warranty cycle. I'm sure others have had different experiences. As mentioned in my survey to KB homes, KB falls in line with most other home builders when it comes to displaying their product, the extras and what your home could look like once completed. They are knowledgably, accountable, and ready to go to the ends of the earth to get one the home of their dreams. This was my experience. However, that experience changed as soon as I closed on the home, the adjective - "accountable" flew out the door. Teams changed and no longer was communication or accountability even a concern. All homes have minor challenges and mine is no different. Understanding that the KB team has to deal with supply chain issues, resourcing challenges and changing priorities I have always tried to be fair with timelines asking for things to be remedied in weeks not days. Trust me I understand I’m not the only homeowner going through these first month pains. With everyone negotiation (or pleading) with the KB team to get things fixed they have promised and never delivered. I feel very dumb even asking for (and agreeing on timelines) because its now a custom that they won’t get completed per our agreed date. It’s been frustrating to say the least. I have been lucky that my issues are not big ones, but the list keeps growing. Overall, I gave the process a 3 – the first 4’s of the home buying process balanced with the 1’s of the after closing/warranty process. ... Más

Warranty claim so slow and miscommunication

Our build took 10-11 months and we received several updates that were inaccurate during the process. There were several occasions where work was advised to have been completed but was not. The quality of the build was nothing spectacular and there are plenty of flaws due to KB’s choice of contractors. We have been in the home for two months and we are still waiting for issues to be corrected; such as the lawn being replaced due to dead, weed infested grass being installed. Also, we were in the home for a month and we found out that our blinds were never ordered until we had already been in the home for 3 weeks but we paid for the blinds during our design process. Thankfully the supplier of the blinds was willing to prioritize our order due to the lack of dependability with KB. If we build with KB, be sure to complain often if you want to see speedy results. ... Más

While I am mostly satisfied with my home, KB was not at all responsive to my issues during the construction. It was delayed by nearly a year but they wouldn't actually tell me that. They gave me an initial date and, once that passed, they wouldn't give me a date again until construction was complete (not even an estimate). Everyone I worked with at the start was either laid off or quit at some point during the construction. Our service team was laid off as soon as we closed escrow so we now have no one to go to in response to issues. We are told someone is about to be assigned to us but we closed escrow a few months ago. Overall we mostly like the house, and the employees are nice, but the corporate standard for customer service is far below anything I've ever experienced before. ... Más

Brittany and sapna made my experience awful.Mohammed is a great loan officer and the warranty team is excellent

We feel that the workmanship is not too good, because we can feel many nails on the edges of the carpets. so we use hammer to make the nails flat . and also the sliding door of the bathroom was not installed properly , but after moving it was fixed.

Take forever to have them come to fix stuff

was forced to pushed to close early for a whole month for no reason (other than looks good on their paper), while they were rushing to finish up the construction of the house. Had to wait for a whole month to get internet because the construction of the next door isn't completed.

Mortgage team, salesman &. Warranty specialist are good but as a home buyer I am not satisfied with KBHome because builder did not provided BASIC facilities in the house like, GUTTERS, SOFTNER LOOP, SPRINKLERS atleast BLINDS.

The experience that I have had has been in the middle of decent and terrible. Being that I have a construction background I know what to look for. I have had to go back and forth with to fix issues that KB deemed as there standers. Apparently rocks under the carpet is normal. Then KB has tried to sell me on the fact that they can just fix everything damaged without a replacement. All KB is doing is getting themselves through the warranty process of a year and moving on and leaving people with the issues. They have also tried to sell me on things like my house fan that wasn’t even working saying it’s just so quiet you can’t hear it. I physically got in my attic and saw that it was missing the most key thing for it to work “the power source.” So over all it’s more toward the negative because I’m supposed to have a new house not a house that’s already having all these issue’s expected better. ... My house wasn't done on time and was delayed several times, but for the most part all parties involved did the best they could during this situation and were very prompt and treated us well. Thank you
