Delayed delivery due to negligence and no proper communication; had to struggle for a month

The experience was much better in the very beginning. I had to close without the home being completely finished. Almost 2 months later & I’m still told things are on back order. I have to reach out several times to get responses to issues. This is a very large purchase. But there are so many things that still need to be addressed

You will have to watch everything the construction crews does on the house - be an active home buyer and hold all the parties accountable. Do not sign the ready to close document until all is fixed they way you like it. If you actively involved all the little or big things can get fixed along the way. Don't let the construction crew bully you. It was less than stellar for my family and quite stressful.

Had to give a bad review before we could get a response to issues that needed to be addressed. Project Manager and Asst. Project Manager were not on the same page as one would say one thing about the work that need to be done and the other would say something else. They gave you the feeling that when you called about a problem that needed to be addressed that you were only a complainer.

My experience with kb home we have to look first home and shoap home because model house and shopping house is different . When we purchased house their is every thing simple and we have to upgrade more thing in house .and invest more money

My loan officer Vanessa Francis was beyond amazing. I loved working with her, she was the only reason I didn’t pull out of my deal. I’ll never purchase another KB home.

Sales staff great. Quality of the materials, construction and install HORRIBLE.

Very poor customer service, no flexibility. Would no refer anyone to KB homes, they cut corners everywhere they can.

Great experience until you move in and then the great relationship is over and you are left with an email address to get issues resolved.

Did care for the loan process. Came into home three months left of building, As someone backed out of purchase. The lay out I have, I don’t care for. Not as functional as it should be. The work was rushed. Not worth the price I paid. In a situation I was in, I was ready just to have a home and I settled. KB could be better, my first home build from them was good. Not this time around. The maintenance supervisor, Glen, watching over the build process is great and helpful. That’s my only positive experience this time around.

There are promised items still waiting on after 2 months. The simple little issues were corrected.

Very disappointed to learn at closing that the neighbors yards drains into mine. I purchased home with seeing it as I was out of state. Seller agent should have disclosed.

Kelly the sales person almost never responded to emails. My realtor, myself, and my lender would send her things and I would have to call several times just to get a response. Timelines were critical, the whole home building process took over a year. Understandable, with COVID there were a ton of supply chain issues, those were communicated to me. The last couple months, the delays were totally in their control. Like ordering the wrong backsplash, ordering the wrong color floor transitions, failing HVAC inspection 3 times. The dates they were giving me to close kept falling through and my lender kept having to unlock my rate (each time getting substantially more expensive to do) and they little to no consideration or compensation. It was almost as if they were doing it purposely for me to pull out so they could sell it for more. On top of that I had to give my apts 30 days notice to move out and they refused to give me a good timeframe. I, instead, gave them a deadline because the Wait and move were becoming increasingly more expensive which was not fair to me, especially when the issues were unavoidable. Doug was the one who communicated with myself and the realtor through the last 30 days. He was responsible and made it happen. He made himself accessible to me, when it should have been Kelly. Doug was very personable, he was very responsive and pretty much did his and Kelly’s job at the end. Roger became rude after I asked him for communication and updates, when he told me to call him if I had any issues. He didn’t have to give me his number. The KB lender was telling people they had to apply with them in order for the builders to honor the purchase agreement. Which was untrue!!!!! Now Al is great, Briana at the design studio was super helpful. Also I been in my house 2 months and still have the wrong floor transitions and my screen was installed torn. They were supposed to finish my transitions on the 29th of June, I’m still waiting. Now I’m being told they had to reorder them. Overall very satisfied with the house, the process was a nightmare. I had to communicate closing with my lender, realtor, title company and Doug. I should have gotten paid as the sales clerk having to do all that by myself. Nobody reached out to me, again I Doug had to call me asking where I was because I closed. Nobody let my team know. Our experience with KB wasn’t the best I do hope you guys can work more in the area of communication.It’s always very hard to reach out to the administrative staff.The field staff is ok as a matter of fact Mr Christian is a wonderful man,you can always reach him anytime you want and he keeps you updated on the building progress. I believe KB is using cheap materials for the building construction the concrete the whole building is on is not of good quality we have been seen holes everywhere.

I’m still waiting to have my exhaust fixed. It’s more than a month. AC is not fully functioning in one of the rooms. I requested AC people to check it. Until now, KB person has not scheduled an appointment. So frustrating!

A big issue In the house is taking over a month to fix. More issues arise as initial problem hasn’t been fixed. Dealing with our representative is just a pain and an overall bad experience. She doesn’t know how to resolve and de-escalate issues/situations. Would wish to have a more professional representatives and a better built home.

Always be proactive with every move of the building process. If we did not point out things it would not be fixed until it was too late. Gary was a great project Manger once he took over towards the end of our building. This was very stressful and just could but surrender trust with KB because of all the issues with the first PM. Things were not disclosed fully until we noticed things.

Negatives 1)Closing delayed several times required to sign agreement to sell prior home in order to purchase this one. 2)Construction disorganized no quality control measures in place excessive warranty service tickets needed. 3) Made living in active construction area very unpleasant this is my third new build and by far the worst experience so far. Trash bins not emptied regularly even malodorous at times trash and other debris frequently blown into driveway and yard. 4)Trades continually parking behind home blocking driveway. Positives 1)Warranty team very responsive and good at engaging right partners for work needed done. 2)Sales VP went above and beyond to try and resolve most issues. ... Más

To make it short and sweet.... An overall lack of organization and comunication. Theres no follow through, one issue after another. Two months after move in and theres still things to be installed or repaired in the home. I was hoping for a good experience but sadly KB and its proyect managers did not meet my expectations. I wanted to be in love with my house and at the end I regretted my desition. I would not buy KB Home again.

Home buying experience was at best ok. I would not recommend using their mortgage services, was a poor experience and had 4 different representatives through the process.

If I had to go through this experience with KB Home again, I would quickly decline. From start to finish there was always something going wrong or some kind of delay. I would not recommend this builder. The sales team was dishonest and lacked accountability, the design studio made false promises and the builders just told me straight up lies. The only positive experience I had was the financing part that is did through KB Home.

I’ve had good moments with KB in buying a house. Problem is, they partner with KPS for electrical and cable wiring. The job done is horrible. Wires are not terminated, and some wires are not connected. I have been begging for them to come and finish their jobs… It’s already taking them over 3 months

I expected better workmanship. The tile work looks like it was done by an amateur.
