Was told things were fixed after move in but they were not

They were not truthful about the move in date and kept pushing back the date. The quality of the home is not worth the price I paid. There are a lot of defects in the home that needs to be repaired.

Sales Team is amazing...the Mortgage Team is amazing.

We still have so much work left to do, we have a whole framing work in the front, a shower door that still needs to be replaced, cabinet replacement, floorboard work upstairs, floor work downstairs, and plugs not working in multiple places. These are big projects to fix after we moved in, especially since they were supposed to get fixed before when we had an inspection done. I first praised George for helping to give us a garage for the opener and helping with the move-in date. But I can't overlook to constant issues and I have been disappointed. I have always heard things about KB Home or houses similar to KB, proving the rumors right. I am a first-time buyer and I would not want an experience like this for anyone. ... Más

Still waiting for superintended to finish details that were left incomplete in my home!

Bought a "model" home. After moving in, I have a huge list of repairs needed and am still unable to use some of the upgrades I paid for. This is my 3rd house purchase, 2nd new construction purchase and the worst home buying experience. I am extremely disappointed with KB Home.

We were reluctant to build with KB based on others' experiences we'd heard about, but in a tight housing market, we decided that it was the easiest way to get a house in the location we wanted for a reasonable price. The sales experience was fine. The design studio process was unnecessarily confusing and time-consuming because they use software from the 1990s (I'm talking green type on a black screen) that makes it take forever for the consultant to give you the price for something and ultimately build the order. Our first consultant made several key errors. We complained about this and the manager did our final appointment (via Google hangout due to COVID). She was great, but after our home was in the build process I really wish she (or someone) had walked us through the lighting locations. We ended up with a lot less overhead lighting than we would have chosen if we knew how few lights they would provide. The build process itself was not well-supervised. Subcontractors installed broken cabinets and then the construction manager had them patched up later. Our window wells are uneven so our blinds fit well at the top of the window but not at the middle or bottom. This is a framing error. I could go on, but basically anything we didn't upgrade was inferior and even some of the stuff we did upgrade wasn't the quality I would have chosen. We've found a lot of mistakes in the couple months we've lived here. Nothing we can't either fix or live with. Not sure another Austin-area builder would have done a better job as they all use the low bidder subcontractors. Thankfully my husband is super handy. Be prepared to watch everything, spend the money on a 3rd party inspector, and then set aside a couple thousand dollars to make your home what you want it to be. ... Más

there was a distinct lack of disclosure regarding the exterior of the home. using kb mortgage was a very good experience.

The Tx loan compared to NY was very frustrating and it took over 5 or more months before they denied me a loan and I had to start all over with a different company kept me anxiety extremely high for the whole tome

The builder was great dusty but to be honest find you an outside lender cause kb lenders don’t know how to do there job Anita was terrible worse experience ever she stressed me out daily lied about everything from the start and then other lenders tried to fix her mess and couldn’t felt so bad for the guy trying to help but to many people warned me to get an outside lender I should have listened from the start but my home is beautiful love the open concept but get you an outside lender less stress

When looking to get a loan set up, the response time was very slow and a representative did not take the time to work with us. We had to go with an outside lender to be able to get the loan that works for us and give us details of what was needed. They did not comply with my outside lender with credits they said they would give us nor accommodate us for things they said that they would do. The response time I felt was terrible, but other than that the home is beautiful and the team overall has been great.

What an horrible experience for a first time home owner. They were very rude and unprofessional with me just because I got my own lender. The construction superintendent did treat me good and did try making me feel comfortable as much as he can.

The experience with the sales department was horrible. Other than that, everyone else were wonderful, friendly, and responsive.

What was bad was the person KB used to help with funding this home were totally incompetent. Had to answer the same questions more than 150 times. Seemed like she did not read or send the correct info to the lender. Very bad experience. Sherrilyn had to get involved sending our info to them also. The best is what received from Sherrilyn, and Ramon always on top of the job at hand. I would give them a 100% excellent grade for service in your new home. Also, AJ has been great to fix outstanding items along with Steve which has been very helpful. KB please do not use the same group on buying a new home. The floor left at the Largest model (1860)was dismally insufficient for a new home. Reguardless of your As is !! Model hone Purchase Policy...an attempt by myself and your Builder was made to attempt to fix the situation....after a professional cleaning and resealing the floor looked good for about 2days once completely dry it returned to it lack luster shine and powdery look. In closing we spent 8k to put a vinyl floor on the bottom half of this home...totally Disappointed...in what we got for 304k...

Overall process was long and frustrating not KB’s fault but our Bank loan process. Overall experience with builder was great. House was ready to move in. There a few things that need to be fixed after move in that we haven’t received any response or done yet.

When I visited the site, the home was not yet built. My main question for the sales representative was which home would provide the best mountain view, and I was advised to buy lot 77. At that time, there was only my home 18631, and there was no house behind me. However, after I moved in, a taller or same hieght home was constructed behind me, which blocked the mountain view from bedroom window. now the only view of the mountain was visible from my kitchen. I was a bit sad about this change, but accepted it. Additionally, deck work began on the back of my home, further obstructing the view. I had shown these concerns to Brad as well. I would not have purchased this home if I had been informed about the potential for this obstruction during my first visit in November 2024. The primary reason for my purchase was the desire for a good mountain view, and this situation feels misleading. l feel so sad and hurt about this. not enjoying the experience afterward at all. ... Ok experience, would like more help and transparency in the process and what happens after closing.

applying for the loan through kb home experience was not running as smoothly as it should be extremely lengthy and repeated requests for the same document over and over and the knowledge of the early preparer for the loan was not quite professional or organised and sounds like he is already overwhelmed with what he already have .

Lending process was horribly non-transparent. House is beautiful but had to get several things redone and then redone again. Feels like I keep finding things. Many times acted like it wasn’t their fault for things that obviously were their fault. James and Deborah (real estate agents) and Chad (maintenance/go to guy for all fixes) are cool!

We faced so many issues with builder in the overall process. KB lending experience was bad. KB construction team was okay after purchasing the house. Sales department wasn’t so great

They made me sell my house to buy this one and then kept delaying the final date. Then when we moved in there was small issues, and then they have us the wrong mailbox key. We had to run around for weeks until we finally figured out the problem

Overall homebuying experience with KB Home was very unsatisfactory and often felt misleading.
