They use a lot of excuses when in our master planned community other home builders have no problem building houses quicker.. they used the excused of Covid for everything but so how doesn’t effect any other builder.. just KB.. The house is great and was their loan side, but other than that not good.. horrible first time buyer experience

Be sure to verify information given before making life-altering decisions & get everything in writing or things that are supposed to be done… won’t get done.

They were ok. The construction manager and the construction personnel are irresponsible and will put you under a lot of stress. Be ready for that

The incompetence of the loan processors. The incompetence and /or negligence of some of the sub contractors. The 2 stage contract signing. 2 stages are OK as long as the structural phase isn't cemented in stone until the Design Studio phase is complete.

Everything is great about the home. I would give 5 stars on everything. However, the brand new house came with mice since day 1. They sent out pest control within a few days, and all pest control did was say mice may have already been in the house before we moved. A month and a half later mice start showing up again. Asked customer service for help to determine how mice were getting in and was told by Customer Service this was basically my problem now. It's very heartbreaking being a first time home owner and buying a home with mice from the beginning.

Getting a lender who is more compassionate and not robotic would help KB Home a great deal.

All staff needs to communicate with buyer more often.

A less than great rating on quality and trustworthiness. I do commend the sales associate, construction supervisors for addressing all concerns immediately upon communication to them. Not complimentary of the subcontractor's used to build the home. Several major items missed that should have been completed upon build up of the home.

The entire process from start to finish took about 11 months from start to finish. At first it was very exciting chosing our lot and visiting the design center. But because of covid it turned into a horrible wait. We had multiple delays because of covid 19 and it made for a bad experience. I feel like the initial value that was proposed and what I actually got was kind of a bait and switch. A lot of the things that I was told were standard were not and I ended up having to pay a lot of money out of pocket to get things I thought I was already getting. Like lighting in every room and walls in specific places. The quality of the build is so so. I'm still having a lot of warranty issues where things were broken when I moved in and I have been in the house for 2 months and they still have not been fixed. The build team was excellent to work with and they have been trying their best to help me fix some of the reoccurring problems but you can tell they have better things to worry about and are very busy. If I had to pick one thing that I would like people to know it would be to be careful. The model has optional upgrades that aren't listed and aren't standard. They won't tell you about them till it's to late and you are already in the design center and your only choice is to pay for them or miss out on things that are kind of important. ... Más

The contract supervisor that was employed when we bought our house was horrible! So many things were not completed for our home on the Closing date and he lied about so many issues and made excuses for not being able to complete items.

Disappointed to have a brand new house that has such poor workmanship. Seems there is no oversight of contractors and customer service team has to play clean up. Door casings are not straight, walls are not flat, corners not square. I can go on and on. Disappointed would sum it up.

The process of purchasing a home started out great, but turned out to be one of the most stressful experiences ever. Midway through, there were changes in loan officer, with no communication, and no timely updates. Appraisals took extremely long, way longer than usual. The entire process took nearly 3 months. There were many mix ups and lack of communications that caused the deal to nearly fall apart, but in the end it all worked out. There are some opportunities for improvement for sure. The KB staff was helpful and kind, it was just a tough time and third party challenges, but definitely a frustrating experience. Understandable that some of the delays in the process were due to COVID, so some of it was unavoidable. Appreciate the KB staff that i worked with, but next time, hope the process can be smoother. ... Más

KB mortgage company closing costs outrageous. Poor workmanship, materials used were of inferior quality Team did assist with issues.

Paid for a premium lot on the preserve and we were told that fences were to be built a certain way. We were even shown examples of the few homes that did have them. A month later there were 3x more fences and not to the standard of what we were told by the agent. There are now 6ft and 4ft tall solid fences that ruin the aesthetic's of the preserve as well as block our view. Have complained to HOA and property managers but no one responds. Also very hard to get things fixed in a timely manner so you better be down here full time to get stuff fixed or you will be spending a lot of time away from your family. We have big things like the fence, two different color counter top colors, cracks in concrete, cracks in tile grout, window seal broken in kitchen and piece missing, air not coming out in front room and so much more. The overall workmanship and materials are average to below average, and quality control is not good for a new construction home. The HVAC air filter was installed incorrectly, and the kitchen layout has poor design choices, including an impractical refrigerator placement. The value does not align with the price paid, and greater attention to construction quality and functional design is needed.

Our closing was 2 months later than what we were expecting, quality and craftsmanship are below what we have experienced with the 2 homes we have built prior to this. I do not plan on building another home with KB Home and I would not recommend them to anyone that cares about quality and craftsmanship.

Could make things a lot easier. Bad closing co. Not much response to work orders and warranty issues.

Sales team was misleading and work needed after move-in was a nightmare.

I wouldn't dare buy a KB home again in the future. The quality of material and workmanship is poor. I had to monitor every week to see if things were done well. Even after that, I ended up buying a home with a terribly bent incoming air duct, and a lot of wood studs broken or not put right. The worst thing is that they cheated me with the lighting by installing some cheap red lights all over my home. I had to spend a lot of money replacing them.

I bought a house in Feb/March 2025 and moved in on May 1,2025. So far everything is below average Sprinkler system is out of wack, sprinkler heads broken or non functional, system missing a piece for full functionality, tree removal request fell on deaf ears, today a door knob fell apart , house was built in 2024 and was on inventory, I had bad experience with sales team who actually are more of a car dealership.Garage door is like we are opening a tunnel door beside I greased it still makes horrible sound Internet lines were messed up so Xfinity charged about $200, to put cable through for Internet, we are waiting on at least to start addressing issues Per neighbors they had to struggle 3 months to get minor things and sprinkler system fixed Let's see how long it takes for us One month is already gone. ... The seller took a lot of time to reply and help during the process. Stefano was on vacations, sick or day off when I need it. He did not help me when o need it he was more interested in new customers than the one with contract signed

It has only been a little over two months since my closing date, and my homebuilder, Tyler, is no longer responding to issues that I've brought to his attention for the past month. The main issue now is the irrigation system. I've paid over $2,000 in water bills for a five week period. In a past phone call, Tyler accepted blame for the issue, and we discussed a reimbursement plan. I have followed through with that plan, and Tyler hasn't responded to my email, texts, or phone call. I'm not willing to accept that loss, so it looks like I'm going to need to contact a lawyer concerning that issue. Further, when I responded to my first KB survey and had issues (mainly a home inspection report that I got after closing that showed problems with the roof), I requested that someone other than Tyler to contact me, and KB simply had Tyler respond to my issues. I'm sure KB won't publish this review without contacting me, so I'd appreciate it if someone higher on the ladder at KB than Tyler will contact me. ... Más

Not a great experience as a FTHB. Salesman just wanted to make a sale and at times was not prompt in answering my questions or concerns. The project manager was worse. Unprofessional and unwilling to work with me until it was nearing closing time. Pushed back closing more than five times and I was very patient about it but the project manager wanted to blame me. Thankfully my loan officer understood how this particular KB PM worked and helped me out so I did not have to pay for a rate lock extension. Would look elsewhere if you're a FTHB. Had to point out A LOT of issues during the build and really advocate for things to be fixed. This is not how a business should run. ... Más

My experience with KB home was terrible, aside from those in the design studio, it was a mess of lies and half truths. They were terrible at communicating with us and tried to close us into a house that was not finished. We had to take our issue up to the regional manager to get our house finished. I’m 60% sure they ignored my home inspector report since they never confirmed they fixed anything or we found things in our walkthrough that were pointed by the inspector. I would never recommend building with KB they are a horribly run organization from the sales office to the building. I would be very careful of KB loan as they give predatory loans and try to force people into above market rates using sellers credits ( this is illegal for those who don’t know). Overall choose a different builder you’ll save yourself the headache, time, and worry. ... Más

Find out more before buying your own home. I made lots of mistakes and learned the lessons. - I didn't know that my backyard was too small to install a patio. However, no one told me before paying the earnest money. -I didn't even know there was another house being built right in front of my house. - When I needed help, I did not receive it properly and on time. no one was responsible Do your homework before buying a house. check twice
