I did my closing on August (two months ago) and I’m starting to have issues with the home pertaining to roofing, walls tearing out and breaking, squeaking floors on the second floor, loose toilets. Definitely not satisfied with KB Home, they rushed at the end to closing and for this reason I will not recommend this home builder. Comparing with other home builder that I’ve seen, KB have lower construction standards by far.

There is just to many things to itemized. The house upon completion looked like it was completed with out supervision. To the point that when I was on the final walk through there was a picture of a Man's Private Part drawn on the Garage wall and it was unseen by the project manager. Then they ask you repeatedly if you can give them 10's on the Construction manager survey over and over even though they know it is not deserved but you feel compelled to or the stuff you need fixed in you newly bought home will not get fixed or it will be done with a grudge. No answer when there is an issue. All they really want is your money. Pushes you to sign and do walk thru as soon as possible even with issues present. Once you sign they will ignore you and not answer any phones calls for issues they were suppose to fix PRIOR to walk thru.

My experience with KB Home has not been good. First, our closing date kept being moved. This cost us more money for rental trailer. We drove to Texas from Los Angeles expecting to enter a "move-in ready" home. It was far from ready for anyone to move in! Our Toilet was not attached in one bathroom and the times underneath were all broken from someone apparently working on it. Our second bathroom had a sign on the Toilet that said "do not use". Lack of follow through on repairs

Purchased a home for cash two months ago. Was assured several times that need repairs would be would completed. Had walk through with Thomas and his assistant. Both are very competent and respectful individuals. The problem seems to be management has understaffed the construction/repair unit. Defective master bath mirror, stains in master tub, gray paint on white kitchen kickplate, shoddy cracked patched where wire removed from wall, gash in kitchen island. Sorely disappointed in lack of follow through and broken promises.

Do your homework, have patience and stay dilligent and atand your ground. Unfortunately the lack of communication, language barriers and transparency has been poor from start to finish. The home is beautiful, the process has been painful. Extremely painful. I wish we had a different experience. It is supposed to be THE most exciting time of your life, sadly KB hasn't made us feel that way. We are almost two months in and still working to complete the punch list to make things right.

Issues, issues, issues.

The house looks good on the surface, however there were more and more issues cropping up after moving in. We are sitting here months after move in with holes in walls behind appliances, mice getting in from poor drywall in garage, sinks with stoppers that don't work, nails in walls, and poor out door railing that is so rough you cant run your hand up or down it with out getting a splinter. None of these issues seem to be getting resolved any time soon either since their customer service is slow and unresponsive.

Not What I Expected

KB builder is worse than what I expected. The quality in every area is not good!! I’ve called for service to fix the paint after moving in and no one answers and no one calls back when I leave a voicemail. Getting things fixed is not their priority because they are still short handed. I’m still waiting for an appointment confirmation for another issue I saw outside. Did I mention the nails that were left on the floor in my garage, the driveway, and the street when I moved in? I’ll say it again, I will never buy another KB home nor will I recommend KB to anyone.

I reported the sliding door is damaged and installed backwards, someone came to look at it and I never heard from anyone again. I had an access panel to space under the stairwell installed and found it was completely full of scrap sheet rock. That just screams we don’t car … why not properly discard scraps instead of leaving them hidden in my house, what else is hidden in my house? I dare not look in the attic. Overall the workmanship in my opinion lacks pride. My opinion has gone down since I moved in.

Still having major issues with the home. And small issues. Calls were never returned notes were never updated or taken a very confusing process poor customer service. They would say they were going to do something but then go back on their word multiple times.

This was not the experience I was expecting when purchasing a new home built from the ground up. Too many issues. Not enough communication. Too many issues after communication. No one seemed to be on the same page. Sales or construction supervisors. Had multiple supervisors the right hand never seem to know what the left was doing.

It was a terrible mistake to buy from KB home which could not deliver in a timely matter with below standard workman ship. Unlike what the company claims that they are number one, I learned the hard way about them with loss of over $20,000 during one year of waiting and responding to unrelated requests for loan documents which was ridiculous like writing essay for marketing properties. I am still waiting to hear from them about some outstanding issues.

the buying process was good minus issues related to the lender. After moving in, I have noticed a lot of poor building. Builders cut a lot of corners thus requiring things to be repaired after. The front door was not aligned properly thus the door will have to be reset, the shower drain in the master bathroom was installed improperly and thus the drain is off by about an inch. Inside the kitchen cabinets, their are screw protruding through about a quarter inch. Lack of presence of of the promised appliances on the day of walkthrough like No Stove range, no Microwave. Lot of small issues needed to be addressed and it took almost 45 days after forcing the buyer to close on the property. I had to make repeated requests to make repairs and customer service is NOT customer oriented team at all. KB homes threaten buyers to close on the property when it is NOT move in ready. Finance through the entire process was a nightmare, zero communication. I’m a first time buyer and they just uploaded more and more documents with ZERO explanation of what I was supposed to be signing. Unfinished home

We closed on the home April 20 and I let the builder know that they had 3 weeks to fix the already existing issues until my family moved in on May 12. When we showed up to the house 3 weeks later the house was unfinished. The same issues were still not completed. The house wasn't even cleaned and ready for us to live in it. There are items that we paid for that aren't installed on the house and vice a versa.

Construction took nearly a year. After the move in, there were tons of issues- The builder did not install the correct window in our son’s room and they had to cut the window out and re-install a new one.
