Good customer service and professional

We recently bought a home in a new KB Home community. We had never bought new construction before and it was an experience. We were downsizing and the process took much longer than expected as new wells had to be dug, approved and put on line. The design studio experience was enjoyable, picking our fixtures, cabinets, countertops, hardware, etc. gave us some choices to customize our home. The different staff members we dealt with were mostly attentive to our needs. There were many minor things that needed attention, but I guess that happens with new construction. The entire buying process was good. For the amount and quality of the home was fair. Response to any questions was added immediately.

The beginning stages of the process were fine. The building process was a nightmare due mainly to well issues. We love our home though!

This was my first time buying a house and there were great moments and not so great moments. Adrian, the construction manager was AWESOME and Exceptionally thorough!! His work ethic is top tier! Overall, communication and clarity about what to expect and the process, specifically the closing process, could improve.

The home was ready on time as promised

I am pleased with their after sales customer service but not too much with the sales agent. She was a little inexperienced and unprofessional from time to time.

The overall buying experience was good, sales, loan agents are amazing but the customer service doesn'y respond well amd at times are agressive when can't find their own community in their list to initiate a service request. Quote unquote by service guys 'Know your community name first and then call for service request' I am very well aware of my communuty name I am a new home owner. They cant find their own builder's community and be very rude.

Overall, we had a decent experience. My husband is a contractor and can confirm the majority of the workmanship and materials is excellent. We did experience issues with shortcuts being taken on finish work and it is my advice to be VERY involved, take LOTS of pictures and communicate concerns in writing the minute they occur. I do wish we had insisted on power to the home for the final walk through - we could have avoided things like appliances not working correctly and outlets that were not connected. The design studio is fabulous! BUT - know your prices - there are things they offer (e.g. front door lock upgrades) that are inflated 300% - those things you can save $ and do yourself. Also - read everything - and I mean everything very carefully - we had to send back our design plan 4 times for corrections. The communication of the entire team - ALL people we interacted with throughout the buuying process was stellar! The sales team, job supt., finance dept, etc. all made sure we knew what to do. The fact is - with a new build there WILL be issues - count on it and know this. The key is to stay on top of post closing communication. I have learned that clear, kind and consistent communication and accountability helps get issues resolved. I do wish they were available for warranty work on weekends - we have had to miss a ton of work to deal with post closing issues. Plan accordingly. Overall - we would definitely work with KB homes again - I have family and friends who also had very good situations and experiences. We bought this house between Nov 4th and Dec 14th. Fast and easy! I am very comfortable here and looking forward to many years more in it. Trey and Chad and the local team have been great.

We had a good experience with KB. It was a learning experience as we had never built or bought a home previously. Everyone we dealt with was very responsive to our questions and answered in a timely manner

As my sales consultant John was always available and worked to find answers for the few questions he didn’t have answers for initially. He contacted me weekly with updates. Eric, the construction supervisor also contacted me weekly with updates and to review structural and mechanical amenities. All employees were always on time and very professional. Bret, my loan officer was also always available and extremely helpful . The follow up and detail in this company is amazing. Through each phase of construction I met new people. As the phases evolved the original people stayed with me answering all questions. By the end of construction my KB team included included 7-8 people. Someone always provided information I needed ... I'm very happy with the house however after living there for a month we've got some issues with house. Heating is not working, nails protruding on the carpet and problem with bathroom door

KBhomes is a good, however you must pay attention to detail and stay on track with the loan office, as well as the builders in the design studio. Your responsibility to dot your eyes and cross your teeth. As I was once told by an employee, KB Homes is in the building business, and writing contracts, that best represents them, and not to consumer. They have been proactive with following up with some issues that may come up after a new build. The entire process was seamless. All parties involved made themselves easily accessible and answered all questions. The home was the perfect fit for our family. We lucked up with a property with lots of upgrades and comparing to base model, definitely spend the extra money on them.

These individuals were very informative, helpful and kind. They were all extremely knowledgeable and efficient at their jobs and were able to troubleshoot any and all challenges that arose. I am more than appreciative for each of them. KB Homes is certainly fortunate to have them.

Overall great experience all departments were helpful. Only issue was that we would be rushed to do things and then the representatives wouldn’t return the favor. Meaning we would get rushed and then they would lag when we needed responses or things on their end to be handled. Other than that it was great still happy and satisfied I went with KB.

The sales rep regularly touch base and check in to see if everything is going well or if I have any questions.

The sales experience with Severo and Jonathan was flawless. They both set the bar really high with the attention to detail and responsiveness. The construction portion matched the level of customer service set by Severo and Jonathan. Ray and Travis sent multiple updates a week and kept me in the loop throughout the process. There were multiple times we met up during construction to give me tours of progress and answer any questions. If there were any issues, they resolved them immediately. If I were to purchase another home I would request to work with these folks. However, I wouldn’t finance with KB unless there were good incentives and if I worked with Tanya. My original officer Jaimie, did not meet the expectations set but the rest of the process. No communication throughout the process unless I initiated the conversation but still took forever to respond if I even got a response. Did not educate me through the process so I felt I made poor decisions at the beginning. Didn’t explain things throughly. Towards the end of the process, Tanya took over and justified the wrongs. She did what she could to repair the relationship and I would work with her if I had the opportunity to. ... Más

The initial shock of what the home doesnt come with was difficult to accept after visiting the design center. By that time they have your deposit, so theres no going back of you dont want to give away money. The sales people at the actual neighborhood site are amazing and bend over backwards for you. That is for sure! But the KB Home finance was a true horror show. Every conversation, every interaction was like pulling teeth and nothing was conducted the way it usually is with a finance group. Oh the nightmare. What a bunch of newbs. The title office, on the other hand, was amazing! So what is NOT included with the house, (that we think should be without being charged extra) is: cabinets in the laundry room, nickel plumbing fixtures, nickel shower enclosure in master, luxury vinyl in the living room (instead of carpet), hardware on kitchen cabinets, elongated toilets, pendant lights at kitchen island, fans in living and master. I will say that we are super impressed with the home insulation. Its by far the best insulation we've had...and we've lived in a lot of homes. The person who was supposed to check in on us after 30 days from movein asked my husband how things were after 5 or 6 days. I havent met the guy and wish I had cuz we need him now...nowhere to be seen and its been almost 2 months. Wish i had his number. You cant check on people's houses when theyre not even unpacked or moved in yet. Not great customer service after the fact. ... Más

This is my first experience buying a home and there were overwhelming and high pressure moments but ultimately everything worked out.

Highly recommend KB homes. Top 5 in services and lovely homes with reasonable pricing in the Texas areas
