My experience with KB Homes was terrible from the start and continued to be bad through owning the home. Even after I finally was able to move in, there are multiple construction issues that weren't addressed. I like the floor plan of my home, but would not recommend KB Homes to anyone.

This whole home buying process through kb homes was ridiculous! This was by far the WORST homebuying experience ever! I have had 3 homes built, and we'll just say this pales by comparison!

Robbed me of the joy in buying my first home

The entire experience was/is horrible. From the start a salesperson giving wrong information about home options & solar programs, sales/customer service people not showing up to home walk through appointments, to multiple building delays. After a 11 month wait l moved in & it took five weeks to gain access to my mailbox. Not to mention, after two appraisals the house still came in almost $30k under the purchase price. Highly recommend using another builder.

Not worth your energy, hard earn money and investment. Very unprofessional employees FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM, LOTS OF ISSUES WITH THE QUALITY OF WORK AND CHEAP MATERIALS USED, they try to fix the botched jobs they initially created but then create more work and more issues, Extremely unhappy with my 3016 square foot home, they also lack of empathy towards the new home owners. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND KB HOME BUILDER. unfortunately they ruined what was suppose to be the best experience for my family on building a New home. KBhome Lake Lucerne gets zero stars. RUN!!!!

Poor Quality and poor quality control

There were so many issues we found after we moved in. Major plumbing issue they have not fixed almost two months after we moved in. Two downstairs toilets overflowed first week we moved in, plumber found the underground pipe connection issue. I purchased brand news homes many times in the past, I never experienced so many issues in the past. We had total 8 families from our phase to move in around the same time, every single family experienced the same. KB hired the cheapest contractors or staff to build their homes. there were so many incomplete jobs we found after we moved in. I don’t know ...

Absolutely the worst home building experience I have ever had. Overpromised and underdelivered, untrustworthy and unresponsive staff, poor workmanship. I closed in May and still haven’t gotten to finished product.

Biggest regret and a complete nightmare with KB

I am an Army Veteran and have been saving up for years to make a down payment on this house so I could move back to my hometown. Me and my girlfriend were very excited for our first home together. Save yourself the heartache and look elsewhere. Workmanship is poor and sloppy. Never knew we would have so many issues with our brand new home. The community is great which is the only redeeming quality. It’s just unfortunate the home quality does not reflect the price you pay.

At the pooring of the cement I realized they were building the wrong house. When I told the sales person. He took me to the Model the Kingsley to show me it was the right model only FLIPPED!!! My previous review detailing my displeasure with our home was rejected for “legally sensitive content,” without specifying what (if any) it applies to, so unfortunately maybe this is generic enough: KB Homes representatives often paid little attention to detail, communicated poorly, did subpar work, and doesn’t ensure that alcohol isn’t present at construction sites.

I can't say kb in general, but definitely the people running the show in the neighborhood where my home was built . The worst workmanship I have ever seen..... Like there are so many problems with this home I wish I could give it back. The people they contract with are not professional in anyway. So many corners cut, my slab was jack hammered open 3 times because they did the plumbing wrong ... I could go on and on . Stay away from KB homes.

The services I received was extremely unacceptable. Mistakes continued to happen not on my end but the sales office and design center. And everyone is extremely slow at handling issues. I have had to write several emails and make several phone calls for issues that are still not resolved. No one takes responsibility for the mistakes made and you bounced around. I would say if have a choice to pick a builder do not pick KB homes. I was also manipulated in giving a first good review that all of my homes issues would be resolved. After my review never heard from anyone again.

We closed 2 months ago. Much of our original punch list is still not repaired. The ceilings in 2 rooms began to sag. They've come in twice, ripped ceilings down leaving us without access to the master bedroom and living room/ kitchen. Ceiling is still not right, lights are removed, crown molding removed and damaged. And they have not shown up the last 2 days when they were scheduled, so I'm left without full access to my master bedroom.
