Although the KB Home was what we had asked for, the house came with various repairs that were brought up prior to the house being placed in our hands. Issues were brought up and never repaired. A home inspector corroborated issues as necessary to fix. The issues are now a part of warranty which means moving and living around people in the house that was supposed to be ready to be a home. The buying and design process was great. The construction less so. That said, few major issues except for feeling ignored and marginalized concerns.

Nice looking neighborhood and the house appears beautiful, however, it is best, to not assume everything works properly, as fast as the entire process goes it is not possible to catch every mishaps. Very unfortunate that we feel like renters still trying to get something to work properly and only being here for almost 2 months.

Had an issue with the oven. After only a few uses, the starter switch broke. Didn’t have an oven for a week.The shower leaked onto the baseboard due to poor workmanship. The refrigerator was scratched and had to be replaced. Seems as if the trades people are lacking an attention to detail. Too many major or minor repairs. It’s frustrating.

The house is very nice. But the work done at the end is a little bad.

A lot of issues were overlooked due to lack of craftsmanship and quality of workers. Simple things that could have been adressed in the matter of a few moments left to be ignored.

Kb experience was good however their financing was not

There is a lot to say but I will summarize. The construction staff are great. Attentive to fixits. The lender process was stressful due to a lack of communication and difficulty initially getting responses and requested information. The last portion of the process went well. The garage has a large crack in the floor already due to the water heater pole being initially placed in the wrong corner and the concrete poured appropriately in that wrong corner, then the heater pole was moved to the opposite corner and placed after the concrete was already poured, so now there is a crack. Other than that, the construction staff has repaired anything necessary, T he builder offered a survey at the end of the process, saying if I rated them with all 10s, the would include an incentive where the construction staff did a small home improvement such as install ceiling fans or paint an accent wall. To me it seemed more like a bribe. They did not get all 10s from me. Also, the construction superintendent is apparently a 23-year-old according to the office staff, of whom they are all proud due to his huge success at his young age. He drove his extremely loud red Dodge Charger down the residential street at a high rate of speed, then screeched his tires as he drove recklessly onto the main road. He did this more than once and after residents had already moved in. Very immature and unprofessional, and a terrible image for the company. I've been in the house for a little over a month now and everything seems to be well-insulated and put together after the little repairs were done. No complaints so far with the quality of the house or any of the appliances. ... Más

I love the design of our home, very spacey and organized. However, the metal made up the sink is easily scratched, which I wish we could have better quality of items made of metal. The constructors were very responsive in the 30 days period of home warranty after closing. Though we still have 2 years warranty with other constructor, they responded slowly and I haven’t heard from them yet. I hope I can hear back from them soon.

great salesman and loan officer

This is my 3rd KB Home. This home was a "Move in ready" and was just what we were looking for, but the Customer service "after the sale" has been awful. There was things that were "supposed" to be things done to the home for us prior to us moving in...they were not...and still have not been taken care of Yet. Very disappointing. We actually feel like we were "Hustled" by a used car salesman.

it went smoothly some what

We found KB Cadence when it was a dirt lot. We were urged to put down our earnest deposit and sell our current home to secure a spot for the new home that would be complete in 6 months. Great! However, the 6 months turned into 1 year and 6 months. In that time I had to move three times because no one could provide an accurate completion date. So much so that we stopped getting an idea of when the house would be done altogether. Agonizing and displacing. It would have been nice to have clear, consistent and (at the very least) transparent communication/expectation setting with accurate lead times way before they started taking deposits (my neighbors all share the same sentiments). Once the home was done it was such a relief. However, I wouldn’t buy in this manner again. Sue and Rory were very kind and friendly through the whole process and understand they were put in a difficult spot. Overall the home and location are beautiful and we believe our home was built with quality materials. The neighborhood is wonderful and it feels like home. However, some of the design is poor - like having your neighbors A/C unit in your backyard and a landscape drain that doesn’t drain, rather it floods instead. ... Más

The 30 day warranty isn’t that great

Like the house like the area, getting some of the repairs done is really frustrating as tradesmen don't show or follow thru.

I’m happy to my new home…. But when I came and check little by little I saw some of mistake they made… at first I try to inform them and they respond, after for a long time wait it only 2 visit… they don’t even update me and reply to my message I even take picture that need to fix… I know there are busy but atleast reply me if they gonna do it or not!.. I’m also a customer that spend money to my house. I’m sad I know for them that’s little things, but for me I’m so dissatisfied because that little things supposed to be fix at the first place! It’s funny that little things they don’t pay attention in a first place, so I’m wondering since I’m new and really dont know about need to check to a new build house, I didn’t notice right away all the mistake they made! I wish I have enough time to stay so I have time to check what else need to address. They even forget some of there stuff in my garage, even the things need to re order.. still in here— no update when they gonna order to replace it, I message the Guy who incharge but no reply! Well maybe because they already close the deal that’s why.. so they don’t bother to update me even care to reply to all of my concern.. PS i will never message that guy! I’m so disappointed ... Más

From the start we had a great experience with sales. We were able to select the lot, elevation and design options we wanted. The design studio was incredibly meticulous and that was our favorite part of the process. The experience took a turn later in the timeline with the building team. We had the incorrect LVP installed throughout our home which delayed our closing date. A wavy drywall in our great room. Our front door paint was botched, thankfully corrected within warranty window. However, now we face another challenge with getting inspection report items addressed. We understand this is not a custom home process however, the quality and standard should still be a priority for KB home. Highly suggest to visit home at least twice a week to ensure all selections are completed correctly. ... Más

Pleasant experience and quick responsiveness to any financial issues.

My home-buying experience was long and stressful, yet so worth it in the end. The quality of my KB home is not great or the worst just ok. There are a lot of things I feel could’ve been put together and/or installed differently or much neater. The experience from the loan department could’ve gone much better as well. More education and follow ups regarding the loan process and expectations of the timeline would have been very helpful and nice. Overall, I’m satisfied with my home and KB’s service to fix any lingering issues.

Nobody wants to help us

Sales, construction manager and warranty rep were only good thing/helpful ones about our home buying experience.

The loan team made it easy always keeping me updated on the status and any information I need. The build quality is good, not perfect but good happy with our new home.

Make sure the house meets your expectation before sign ready move in and closing. Don't trust whatever superintendent promise. He will forget when step to your home door.
