Sales staff are the best, but unfortunately the attention for other people with issues and concerns have to be better.

House still incomplete. Missing shower and cabniet trim. Never given updates, I have to call in and ask what's going on and no one ever seems to know.

KB was real quick to try to get the homes done that they hired the fastest yet obviously cheapest contractors and tried to get it done in sloppy record speed.. Overall, it's liveable and I AM ultimately happy with my home although it's been nearly two months since closing and still waiting on all (somewhat minor) repairs to be fixed. I'm having to take off half a days work (which will likely turn into two half days if I suspect we're working with the same contractors) to deal with what should have been addressed with the contractors themselves prior to move in, but I digress.. Aside from all that, salesmen Jack was absolutely great to work with although is no longer there. My finance rep John made the buying process easy-breezy. Building reps Kelly and Alyssa are doing everything they can to get items addressed and fixed so I can finally really be comfortable and happy in my own home. I feel like a lot of the issues I'm having to deal with is partly out of their hands and feel bad for being annoyed at this process but they've been doing a great job with what they have and I thank them for listening and understanding. Above all, I am happy with my home and just can't wait for the adjustments/fixes to be made and really feel at home in my home. With all that being said, would I recommend purchasing with KB Homes? Yes but I hope they take into account all their customers feedback and take take-away needless issues to avoid for the next person.. Thanks ... Más

this House is good, but the Build quailty is shoddy, the walls break easily. etc etc The doors are Plastic. Our previous home was made by KB and the old house was better than this....

Overall, the experience was subpar. Everything was going great in the process up until the point we signed our purchase agreement. After that, we went to studio and picked out all of our upgrades. Options were mispoken for, for ex: sprinkler system/gutters not included and were told they were. We upgraded to all gas appliances and upgraded appliance options and somehow they mistakenly did not include gas drop ins for our most important appliances such as the dryer and double connvection oven. We paid an additional $6700 for upgraded vinyl flooring that was terribly placed in some sections(you can feel the vinyl move.) we paid an additional $3400 for our countertops and they were misplaced and uneven with completely obvious and terrible placement seams. Our kitchen cabinetry was not flush with the wall and our cabinet sticks out from the too of the cabinet and retreats into the wall about half ways in. We have cracks in evidently every room downstairs as well as some upstairs cracks as well. Our upstairs tub was likely not plum becsuse it drains extremely slower than all of our other tubs. Our sod/plants were dead upon recieving our home and were told they'd be replaced as soon as we moved in, but a month later we were still waiting for them to get estimates to replace it and not guarenteed that they'd fix it after they told us they would. We ultimately decided to come out of pocket to replace the dead sod and install a sprinkler system. We've been told straight up that the new drywall contractors will not come fix the last drywall contractors mistakes and that they're too busy to fix our issues. We were told all settlement cracks however the size are always addressed at the 10 month mark and not immediately. The date we tried to move in we noticed our furnace was not turning on and had to wait FOUR days for the "emergency line" to dispatch out an HVAC company to repair the furnace. The issue was diagnosed as a miswired unit, so it was impossible for KB Home to ever inspect and evaluate if the unit was even working before we were given the home. The walk through was fairly rushed so we could close on the property and to be frank the walk through was more just a highlight of the basic features of the home. We got bounced back from person to person and superintendent to superintendent until someone finally took the phase and finished it. Even so, we had an 18 month build. We purchased at the end of April 2022 and Closed Mid- October 2022. We didnt recieve the guarenteed closing date until two weeks prior. Getting them to schedule people accordingly to come make repairs has been a struggle because they never show on dates we are told. There is an underwhelming determination to help us fix the issues and it's almost like we are bothering them to fix issues that should have never existed and then persisted. It has been extremely frustrating to be told there is no time to help us with all these issues because they are too busy with other jobs. Its been over a month and many issues are still unresolved. We like our house, but we are just extrememly dissatisfied and disappointed in the worksmanship. Everywhere we look, there is something wrong. I dont think any new home owner would appreciate that. KB Finance was okay. They were attentive and tried to help to the best of their abilities. ... Más

So many things wrong with the house. Sloppy workmanship on cabinets, baseboard, patio door and carpet. Getting so many appointments scheduled to fix things that should have been done right the first time is cutting into my work schedule and making it hard to get to doctors appointments. So I’m just done. I’m so tired of trying to schedule and reschedule these appointments and have people interfere with my workday that I will likely just leave many items as they are instead of having them fixed.

Materials are fine but they don’t check their work very well. Poor workmanship and I have to keep asking for updates on the fix because no one keeps up with anything.

Very disappointed for trust in their words.

For the size of this community, we wished there was more help after the sales. It’s hard for one person to manage the responsibilities and needs of so many new home buyers in a timely manner.

Really need to make homeowner more involved in process

Mr. Chavez is phenomenal and once he temporarily took over the Harbor Dunes community, everything started to positively progress in the right direction. However, I’m still missing a bunch of items and no details on when those items will come in other than it’s on back order. Still waiting on several items to be fixed as well. Lastly, the subcontractors that KB Home hired to build, install, paint, etc… were very sub-par. And for the price I paid, I figured the builder would throw in a complimentary refrigerator, but I guess I should be happy I got something (blanket). This is not my 1st home buying experience and so comparing to my previous one, KB Home is a huge let down. I am very pleased that I’m in a new home, but probably should have done my homework on the builder first. Hopefully all future KB HOME homeowners will have a better experience. ... Más

The experience overall was good, there were some issues with the home after it was built. One of the big ones was the home being properly sealed.

While we are overall happy with our home we are tired of hearing ‘that’s an issue with trades’, sorry the manufacturer is not helping you with that. 3 months into our home and the wrong size blinds, the broken cabinet and the dishwasher that will not dry remain a problem that the builder can’t/won’t fix. The builder hired the blinds company, the cabinet company and selected the manufacture of the dishwasher. Time for the builder to take responsibility for getting things fixed.

Take your time to check everything carefully before signing off. My brand new stainless steel sink has been scratch, also my counter top. The paint on my garage still showing streaks of white paint, My front doorknob has a different color paint than my stain door. At the bottom of my front door I can see daylight . I notice a hole on the ceiling in my closet. Painting looks like my 5 yr old nephew did it. The fence is poorly put together. Workmanship gets a F - …….

KB Contractors doing poor workmanship. AS Stated Before K-Mark Quality Parts stated as Upgrade quality. KB Only Cares about the Rating not resolving the issues THREE STARS bordering on 2

Sales team very helpful, unfortunately build quality is not meeting expectations.

1. Well over-priced. KBhome took advantage of hot real-estate market. Unreasonable lot premium. 2. Well over-priced optional items such as flooring. Not much choices such as window treatment or ceiling fans. 2. I still have 3 small issues and 1 major issue (replacing the scratched kitchen cabinet door). Customer Service associate is not responding to my text, emails, and phone calls for the simple status update. No communication what so ever after an initial text communication. It has been 2 months.

Sales was great but when it came down to the building, that was a different story. The move in date got pushed around a lot. The communication was poor. There are still issues in the house that no one wants to address. I’m constantly emailing or calling. The customer service sucks!

I work in construction and my jobs are never as messy as the job site was at my new house. Food spilled on the subfloor trash everywhere. I still find trash in my yard from the construction process. Sump pump was in the wrong location, electrical was not correct run, miss matched paint on closet doors, lots of drywall issues, tiles chipped and not grouted, door trim impropriety installed, broken appliances and the house was never properly cleaned before they turned it over. Very disappointed in the construction and delivery of final product, about 45 days after closing and still have outstanding issues. ... Más

Everything is OK (overall)! I really like the location but I had many experiences with construction side where I did not like their service.

Excellent attention from the loan officer and the VP throughout the process solving doubts and looking for the as if, unfortunately, a great area of ​​opportunity with the seller, construction and customer service, will improve.

Was not happy with the craftsmanship put out by contractors. Sub par at best

The builder was great. The sub contractors work was rushed and not well done. Had to have workers come back multiple times to fix things that should have never been an issue. We are still waiting on things to be fixed after almost two months. We were told items would be fixed before we moved it and they were not. Now that contractors are busier it’s taking 2-3 weeks to get anyone to come back and do repairs. Even the guys sent for repairs aren’t completing the job. Materials like the upgraded paint and the standard countertops are poor quality

The whole process was stressful due to the fact that my wife and I had a loan officer who didn’t tell us a thing, he basically did everything on his own without confirming anything with us. Then when we switched to Daliah as our loan officer everything turned around she informed us of everything there is to know. As far as the build of our home there’s issues that should have been caught during the building process. Such as electric sockets not working, cracks between tile, issues with that irrigation system. There was a set back in getting the house built, there’s no sprinkler system in the back yard, I feel that there wasn’t much effort in getting our house built.
