We gave you an excellent review when we first moved in, but since then we have had a bad experience with Sunpower. We had solar in our previous home and wanted to use our previous contractor, but KB required us to use Sunpower. We closed escrow on Dec. 2, 2020, and we still do not have solar activation as of Feb.17, 2021. Sunpower can give us no good reason for the delay. My experience with KB was pretty great until closing came. First they picked a day for the final walkthrough and did not give me an option. I was told to show up at this time to inspect before closing. When I got there the house was in totally disarray and not close to being finished. Construction manager said he would have it move in ready within the next 5 days. I showed up 7 days later work that was agreed upon was not finished and Moore damage had been done due to trying to finish quickly. Jeffrey the Sales person was very friendly, professional and communicative when addressing any questions in regards to the sale. I was not pleased that after I had placed a deposit on the home, I was sent an amendment that the Model Home I was purchasing was being sold AS IS. The AS IS status was not addressed with me by the seller before I put a down payment on the Model Home. Sarah in the sales office was amazing. Roger superintentent of construction was awesome as well. Lots of flaws in the KB designs ithat they didnt care to fix for me. Received crappy counter top design that they didnt care to make right. Will have to fix myself.

lacking quality of build. no interior insulation - you hear everything from the next rooms , especially from the bathrooms and kitchen. Very sloppy!! You get what you pay for.

Expected better response to issues in regards to the home when we received keys. But once you get your keys to your home it’s up to the home buyer to constantly be on it, or your issues will be forgotten.

I love my home. The location was the reason I purchased the home. I have been disappointed with repairs. Most are minor fixes yet are still not completed and I have been in my home for over 60 days. I am not pleased with the quality of my air conditioning in my home. It is suppose to energy friendly and well insulated. New construction house still can find several things need to be reworked/ repaired. Ex. ceiling LED lights falling, missing cabinet shelf, drill holes, uneven wall, leaking sprinkler, and crack driveway due to the Community concrete work.

I wish I could have given a better rating but I have to be honest about this review. In my opinion, the construction material is not the greatest quality. We noticed a few things since moving in, such as our front door does not feel secure. A corner of the front door near the lock is cracked, and someone used something like clay to patch the crack. The front door pops open a little even when the door is locked. The lock does not turn completely to assure the lock won’t reopen. The front door feels like hard plastic instead of real wood. I understand our initial consultation guy got laid off, so none of our initial issues are fixed. We are now in warranty and have had a major plumbing leak that we've already cut thru walls and have fans in our house for a week, not happy. I still have paint touch ups (inside&outside) nails sticking out, repaint in certain areas, recaulking around windows (sloppy job). Everyone at KB is nice, but getting no immediate help on getting my house 100% after sale.
