We love our home, but the process to get into it was frustrating. Putting aside supply chain issues that are out of anyone's control, we were jerked around by KB throughout the construction process and communication was inconsistent. The lender they push you to use had poor customer service. The house wasn't ready at closing, and we're still trying to get the last outstanding issue finished. It felt like they were trying to crank out more homes than they're able to do and we fell into the cracks. It doesn't matter how many times they apologize to me, I still will not recommend this builder.

Overall, I'm happy with the home itself and have no regrets. It's not the *highest quality* home out there, but, for what it cost, I can't complain too much. That's not to say that the quality is abysmal -- it's a very decent home that looks and feels good and is about worth what I paid. However, the closing process was awful. Bad experience from the start. We were vastly misled from the beginning on when the house would be built. The sales team was difficult to get a hold of for any updates. There were things we were told during the sales pitch that turned out to be not true (i.e. the siding and roof was covered by the HOA, when groundbreaking and completion was... this was especially frustrating as we had an expiring lease and the house ended up being 3 months late). They use a lot of excuses when in our master planned community other home builders have no problem building houses quicker.. they used the excused of Covid for everything but so how doesn’t effect any other builder.. just KB.. The house is great and was their loan side, but other than that not good.. horrible first time buyer experience

Everything is great about the home. I would give 5 stars on everything. However, the brand new house came with mice since day 1. They sent out pest control within a few days, and all pest control did was say mice may have already been in the house before we moved. A month and a half later mice start showing up again. Asked customer service for help to determine how mice were getting in and was told by Customer Service this was basically my problem now. It's very heartbreaking being a first time home owner and buying a home with mice from the beginning.

A less than great rating on quality and trustworthiness. I do commend the sales associate, construction supervisors for addressing all concerns immediately upon communication to them. Not complimentary of the subcontractor's used to build the home. Several major items missed that should have been completed upon build up of the home.

The entire process from start to finish took about 11 months from start to finish. At first it was very exciting chosing our lot and visiting the design center. But because of covid it turned into a horrible wait. We had multiple delays because of covid 19 and it made for a bad experience. The contract supervisor that was employed when we bought our house was horrible! So many things were not completed for our home on the Closing date and he lied about so many issues and made excuses for not being able to complete items.

Disappointed to have a brand new house that has such poor workmanship. Seems there is no oversight of contractors and customer service team has to play clean up. Door casings are not straight, walls are not flat, corners not square. I can go on and on. Disappointed would sum it up.

Stressful Home Buying Experience

The process of purchasing a home started out great, but turned out to be one of the most stressful experiences ever. Midway through, there were changes in loan officer, with no communication, and no timely updates. Appraisals took extremely long, way longer than usual. The entire process took nearly 3 months. Compré el modelo de casa Redwood que no cumplió con mis expectativas. Lo que vi en el modelo KB Home, el dormitorio principal tenía un ventanal y el porche era más grande. Pero según la elevación que se seleccionó, se eliminó el ventanal y el porche era demasiado pequeño. Ni siquiera cabía ningún mueble en el porche. Mi agente de ventas no me comunicó esta información.
