Very poor workmanship. Poor communication and ability to get repairs done. We paid a lot of money for our home and all we asked was to make things right and that has been a real challenge.

I found 30+ issues with including an upgrade missing I paid for, quality issues, defects, etc. I never got the soft close cabinets I paid for and there’s no urgency to fix this. My door frames to the rooms have warps and gaps so wide you can see to the other side with the door closed. They scratched my tiles really bad trying to install a wall oven pre-closing and didn’t use anything to protect the floors when they set it down and slid it around, etc. the list goes on to over 30+ things. Someone came out to document all of my warranty concerns a few days after I moved in. Then they didn’t document them in the system, nothing every got scheduled, she disappeared and went silent, and didn’t show up at a scheduled meeting with me this past week which was meant to smooth over this absolutely NIGHTMARE process. Now, 2 months later, I’m still chasing KB Home to try and fix all the broken things they left me. KB paints a picture that you’ll be taken care of post closing, but you won’t. If you’re considering buying a home from them, don’t make the mistake I made by trusting they’d take care of issues post closing. My experience with KB homes has not been the greatest or happiest one. I have been in the house for 6 weeks and living “garage living” due to the massive issues I am experiencing. I believe KB is dealing with quantity and not quality as they used, this is my 4th KB home and I am not satisfied nor happy with the quality of their product. From bow walls, due to framers did not repaired marked spots and rushing to cover with dry walls, delivering a house with a serial issues that are continue to be repaired and I continue to accommodate their 3rd party contractors, losing work and hurting financially cause they want to do repairs to their convenience. their super intendent did not took serious my comments, I feel the joy and excitement of getting a brand new home have been rob from me, A house that was promised to be almost perfect and deep clean, we’re promises not delivered, instead I received a house vacuumed and floor dusty, on which for the last 6 weeks I have been breathing plaster dust which is toxic. I experienced at the time of my second inspection the most humiliating and sickening experienced of founding feces in the second bathroom and the super intendent laughing cause somebody did a number 2. I never received an apology from the manager from this super intendent. My beautiful black hexagon tiles backsplash, which the grout has been damaged by the incompetency of the contractor working in the kitchen cabinets and countertops, now the grout is white, gray,reddish,black. My two tone of whites cabinets that at the studio and sales I was told they would be Maplewood, well not even close to!! And I can continue listing and awful long list of defective and poor workmanship!! I feel at times the house is a lemon, and since KB was super late they just rush to do such a poor job and nobody took pride. Today, the new super-intendent Collin and customer care Jayden are trying so hard to repair and move fast with all the issues I am still experiencing, they have been so apologetic, KB needs to hire more people like them!! Many unfinish items, No INSPECTIONS DONE BY KB PM I had to found all issues, still unsolved

2 months after moving in and many items still not resolved.

It take more than 1 year to complete building my house. I was lie to by initial sale person than there was not material shortage and later found out not the case. Th workman ship is terrible. I had to hire home inspector top find 20 flaws. The front and back side concrete crack before we move in. The water heater van is leaking form the roof despite numerous effort to get it fixed. Do not recommended to buy house build by KB home.

It's been almost two month I have no dryer the replacement they brought doesn't work. The hot water was working fine when we moved inn and it completely stopped working i was told they missed a part and they will fix it. It is still not fixed. I am now told to move out and get a hotel. All this with two kids. I am not even adding a whole wrong instalation of all the bars that is still not fixed and a shower glass not in place.....to say the least I didn't expect this from KB homes.

6 month delivery delay, unprofessional after completion of sale. Independent building inspection revealed 100+ items not in compliance with building code. Obviously short cuts were taken in construction of my townhome. It’s a brand new home.

My title sums it up, quantity over quality. Two months after closing and they still can't finish off the list of items needing to be corrected, for any one removed, two are added (poor workmanship). Contractors show up and either don't know how to fix correctly (they sent the new guy), the fix is worse than the original issue, they just don't show up at all, or cancel the day of. Someone might respond to your concern, but don't expect it to be fixed for months (if ever?! TBD...). I no longer trust in the follow through to be sure work is actually completed well, all the way up to regional manager. I could go on, but as this is at least the second survey we have done and so many items are still outstanding, I am tired. Maybe that is what KB was hoping. Sad. ... Más

Very bad business model. Quality control poor. Would not recommend!

Workmanship is terrible. Was a headache through the whole process.

When it comes to anything getting fixed after your 10 day walkthrough, forget about it. I will never recommend KB home to anyone.

the worst experience of my life

It has been 4+ months since I have been moved to my new home. The house construction was delayed and I got penalized for the loan rate, for renting home. KB promised me to hand over the house within 12-14 months but it took more than that and they never let me know the closing date or time. They just let me know one week before the closing. At closing, they showed me the Oven+microwave combo was not there and they give me a loaner oven. They told me they back ordered my original oven but it never showed up. Now they are telling me they can not give me the original oven+microwave combo and gave me a different one without my permission. As I refused to use it, they now delaying and telling me they are waiting for the answer. I am very frustrated with that Second, at the design studio, I told them if at backyard patio is higher than the ground I need stairs. I will pay for that if I need to. The reason I was telling because I have small kids who need surrounded railing as the patio is higher than the ground. At that time they told me to contact the Construction Manager. I requested my Construction Manager and he told me he can not do anything because the city inspection told it's okay of that height. The height from the ground is almost 20 inch-22 inches. They did not install it for me. Later I found that, they put railing for other homeowners even the ground is not higher than mine. I asked why!! they did not answer. What a discrimination. I told them I have kids and I requested them specially. Is that right? Why they did do that for other owners even with the ground height is less than mine? And they did even after the closing. But not for me. The garage does not have any sealed baseboard, it has a space with the wall. Bugs and other insects (crickets, roaches) go inside the house. What a poor design !! I told the construction manager to resolve the issue. He told me it's supposed to be like that. But later I found other homeowners, new homeowners all they gave it. They are sealed with the baseboard and paint not for me. They refused to do that. The warranty guy told me, he did that for others but can not do it for me. The community features pre-wire flood light at the front was not done for me. I asked them why!! They told me they don't know. But every houses of this community have it. More frustration and more disappointment for all of these. There are a lot of issues and problems. I can write those all day long but it won't finish. After closing, the sales guy, construction manager, and warranty manager all keep good relationships so that they can get 10 and requested me several times so that they can get a KB bonus. I gave all of them 10 thinking they will actually be good people and will take care of us after closing. After that, they stop contacting me about the problems I need resolution. Any upper management ever contacted me or say sorry for what they can not do or deliver. They just forget about the homeowners. I am not recommending any person to buy a KB house after what happened with me. I think KB does not have any control over their contractor and people. They don't know what's going on with the root label. Buying a home is a dream for everyone. I thought my first home journey with KB will be good. Even I inspired my friends before and they all bought KB home. They all facing the same kind of issues as mine, But after seeing all of these problems, miss communication, and issues I am very very much frustrated. Very disappointed in my home buying experience. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. Disgusting how they treat their customers.

From start to finish I was very disappointed in the process. The sales person didn’t make an effort in anyway to guide me or give me any information on options. The entire plan was to get me to close ASAP and I had to put a lot of effort to get them to finish my house as promised. I had closed and two months later received my keys because the NEW HOUSE needed to have some items repaired. I still didn’t get my garage door opener at that time. I felt like I was dealing with used car sales staff! Use caution when buying a NEW HOME from this builder.

I bought a house with KBHOMES in Feb,2022. And everything breaks in my house every week and when you email or call . They don’t respond. I regret buying home from KBhome my kitchen cabinet fall off and they haven’t fix for 2months. My garage door is broken and I message and call No response. I wish I have done my research before going with KBHOMES. Very bad experience

I would recommend buyers to be aware of KB homes, they have put my families safety at risk knowingly but selling us base level carpet which has sharp tacks sticking out from it. I have had a number of issues with the new home, damaged cabinets, sliding door not closing properly, bad fence, door handles coming off, cracked windows and the list goes on. I have tried getting answers but they have not been keen or polite in response. We have had 1 walk through through out the build by a person who does not reply to any calls or questions. I highly caution you on your build and please hire a private inspector throughout the process do not rely on KB Homes to be honest. ... Más

Buying a new home was always our dream but dealing with kb homes has been a nightmare. We want our home to look like the model home that we toured and fell in love with instead unfinished issues inside the home and trying to get kb home to complete the issues is ridiculous I regret ever getting a home built through kb home

My name is not important what I'm about to tell you is. I used this company to find my forever home and we are highly disappointed with our purchase. First of all they do not honor the soilder that fought for this country. They told me they do not deal with VA loans and that would mean I had to do a conventional loan. They will attempt to sell you a house with shotty craftsmanship. They have amassed great wealth at the cost of the buyer. There homes come with the bare minimum. I.E. laminated flooring and maybe some tile for bathroom or kitchen. Then when you inspect the work closely you will see the flaws that they want you to pay top dollar for. You pay close to 400.000 for a home with not one ceiling fan or a garage door opener. They even reduce the size of the driveway that is supposed to allow 2 cars to fit comfortably. When I took ownership of the property, then walk the home and found that paint was spilled on the floors throughout the entire house. I spoke with the salesman and informed him of this, he stated it would be taken care of, it never happened. So to sum things up this company is all about the money and forget about you once the deal is closed. Take it from a company that is living the life of capitalism at its best here in America. You are free to make your own decisions about where you spend your money , I will never ever tell one person to invest there money into a home with this company. Buyer beware ... Más

Given misinformation from the beginning. I chose my lot based on being told the last 15’ of my yard was a setback, not an easement. That was not true. Everything only got worse from there. I was supposed to close in November 2021, I didn’t close until June 2022. My lot set empty and untouched until nearly November, then it was thrown up in 4months. Because they didn’t have the house ready when it was originally set to close, my interest rate went up 3.25%. I was nearly priced out of my home. So they rushed to close me, because if they didn’t, I would have lost the house I had been showing my kids would be their new home for the last 15months. The quality of workmanship was poor. Screws are already popping out of the drywall, door frames aren’t painted, crooked studs on my frame that makes my walls look like they are bowed and wavy, driveway has clumps on concrete, porch stairs are crooked and has holes in them. When I closed on my home, the punch list had about 30items on it that should have been done prior to closing, but I was reassured that they would all be addressed within the first couple of weeks living there. I’ve lived there 6weeks. 3.5 things from that list have been resolved. Everything else is still sitting there. I get reassured every week that the items will be corrected that week, but weeks come and go, I rearrange work schedules to be there, but no one shows or nothing gets done. In addition to the $500/m I have to pay for increased interest rates, every time I have to change my schedule to accommodate these “repairs”, it cost me time and money. I keep hearing “I understand your frustration”, but THEIR understanding doesn’t make up for a fraction of the amount of money it has and will cost me over the life of my loan because they are incompetent at their jobs and do not hold themselves or tradesmen accountable. I only wish I could do my job as poorly as KB has and still collect my paycheck. This entire experience has sucked any joy out of the home buying process. If I could go back in time and make a different decision, I would not have bought this home. Because when I chose to buy a KB Home 15 months ago, I had other options. Now, I don’t. But I will never buy a KB Home again and I am telling everyone I know to not buy one either. I really hope that wherever the breakdown in skill/communication/accountability/integrity is resolved because no one deserves the experience that I had with KB. And according to the conversations I’ve had with my neighbors, everybody at Woodside Farms has had the same or even WORSE experience. ... Más

You guys consistently didn’t deliver what you said. At closing the lights in the bathrooms were off, the appliances weren’t what I ordered, etc etc etc. your staff is not up to par. I paid cash for three KB’s in the last 4 years, this will be my last.
