There has been some random issues we’ve had to call in for warranty. Lennar is responsive, however each item has taken several days to get attention. Everything is at least one day for a telephone call, then a day or two to have someone come out. By the time they come out issues are usually fixed quickly. My experience with Lennar was mixed. I asked about purchasing a five-bedroom home at the same price as a four-bedroom with a home office, but was told the incentives would only apply to the four-bedroom option. The home was already pre-selected, so I didn’t have the opportunity to choose finishes or customize features. I also requested doors for the office space but was told that couldn’t be accommodated. Overall, I would give the experience a rating of two stars.

The main factor contributing to this low rating is all the incorrect information we were fed along the way by the new home consultant/agent. The most egregious being that we were told they would NOT be building any neighboring houses to one side of us. The agent even chuckled when I asked if we would have a neighbor on that side of our house because there was a big hillside appearing unsuitable to build a home on. We were told if we didn’t close by May 30th we wouldn’t get the special interest rate, our original closing date was June 17th, we moved it up to help them meet a quarterly quota. Our agent informed me that this was one of the top three worst and most challenging buying/selling experiences he’s encountered in his entire 10-year career in real estate.

It was unfortunate that we had to provide the same documents over and over again to the mortgage representative. We kept getting asked the same questions about which we’d already answered. The shower enclosure is not safe for folks who are 6’ tall and the builder would do nothing about it. The new home representative said I couldn’t park in the drive way because the driveway still belonged to Lennar. Overall a poor showing.

We had a very long drawn out purchasing experience through the loan application, both the FHA and Lennar’s conventional loan people. They were very impatient when they wanted information but otherwise slow in keeping us informed as to what was happening. From the start the buying process was terrible. It took up until closing to know if we were good to go for the loan from lennar mortgage. We were originally scheduled for a walk through the beginning of May. When we drove 4 hours for a 9am walk through, we were notified on site at the house that the walk through was moved. Hire home inspection before closing

Lennar charge 2% of the sale price for not closing in time. If you live out of State, Making sure communicate directly to Title Dept that you need mobile closing. Dont trust the Sale agent. I paid $4800 for this matter. It was a trap!

Everything was great except the sales rep Bryan. He doesn't return calls very unprofessional. He was the only downside of the process. He was not there when I closed they had to call someone else to give me my keys which took an hour. It is once he received my deposit he turns cold. Even when I first applied he didn't return calls to follow up. Thankful for the loan officer and others but the sales staff should be replaced. I would not recommend anyone to purchase based on his professionalism but everything was great

I found it extremely frustrating that the walk thru time is dictated by lennar and not the buyer. I asked them to send me a calendar invite and was told " we don't do that". Bitter Sweet Experience

Bought a new home for my mother. Nice house but appraisal was far below the list price causing me to have to Mortgage insurance. The Mortgage company was horrible to deal with. Lied at every turn. Had to use an outside lender to get the deal done. Would never work with Lennar Mortgage company. Had a few cosmetic issues with the house that were fixed immediately.

Cheap materials in everything cabnets the paint horrible finish work from the workers I can't even imagine the inside the walls or areas un able to see. Everything is the cheapest materials you can buy. Lennar is top leaders supposedly, so unfortunately that they use the cheapest quality and the houses are not the same price as the cheap crap they use.

Overall, my wife and I love our new home. But buyer beware, the sheetrock, painting and trim work sucks. Never realized we had to get our own garage door opener. Was told garage was paint ready, it's not. it's primer ready at best. Between giving first and second deposit, garage floor developed cracks. Was told it was within Lennar's tolerances, lol. Over all not great home buying experience. Customer service wasn’t great during purchase time. There was not much support in choosing option. Was rushed into everything. Home built is good but experience through out the process is very unfriendly. They just want to build home like factory and no respect or care for someone’s expectations and feelings who is spending 100s of thousands of dollars.

I purchased my home by the help of a virtual assistant (young eyes) and showed it was spacious, had a nice yard and the price range was good, but little did I know after moving, that this home was not meant for seniors/retirees due to the fact in order to replace the a/c filter you would need to pull down a step ladder, adjust it to secure it’s locked then climb up to the attic in order to replace the a/c filter.
