I absolutely hated dealing with Lennar Mortgage, you kept checking my credit score which made it go lower in order to charge me a higher interest rate. Dealing with LM is like dealing with the devil. The worst experience I've had in many years.

The builders were great, the mortgage people were great but the initial sales rep, Andy, was a pain to work with making the overall experience terrible. I had to run down answers to my questions on the status of my house/lot several times and when questioning what the hold up was I was only ever told no updates. For a first time home buying experience it was pretty terrible.

Picking the house and putting the down payment was easy and getting financing wasn't hard for me. Then I was met with an extreme escrow office that accused me of being an investor because I have multiple houses. So, I canceled contract, I thought about it for a day and the house was a good deal, so I went back and did everything all over again, just to be told no by the same escrow officer. I got another lender and closed within 30 days without issue. I took me almost 3 months to buy this house all because the assumption of me being something I am not.

Poor workmanship, excellent warranty process

We built a Spencer in 2022. Was disappointed that there weren't more options for a seniors living in next gen suite. After moving in, we had several issues. The first 8 weeks we had contractors in fixing something. Thankfully the warranty request process is easy and Lennar responds quickly. Overall really disappointed with tge overall craftsmanship of a nearly $500k home. I would not recommend building with Lennar.

Sales person needs customer service training

I did not have a great experience with the sales office. There were many errors in the beginning. Also, I think some need more customer service training on how to answer questions. I was consistently told Lennar has all the control; the buyer doesn’t have a say. It’s very disheartening when you hear that over and over. The construction people were awesome!!!

Very surreal experience

The overall experience was on par with most mid-range builders. The one strange item and I wasn't told about this until we were getting ready to move in. Was that the window screens were not included. For an entire house of half screens is less than $300. It's very strange for a home that's almost $300,000 to not include the screens.

Everything was great until my close date was pushed back 3 times. I understand building materials have been scarce in the past 2 years so that wasn’t the main issue but the start. When I did the final walk through, the agent who did it was respectful but I believe deceitful as well. The front area of the home did not have power until she said “oh the breaker is off” when she flipped jt on everything worked for about 10 minutes. My experience has not been the best from the beginning. The telephone tree kind of communication with the site manager and sales person in not getting the message right. I can go into details about how hard it was to talk to Chandra. Then the mortgage officer rarely listen to us and the constant missed opportunities of communicating on what was needed and not needed. The back and forward was confusing. Then I lost my VA opportunity in buying this home. That was just the beginning part of my his. Please call to find out more

This is a difficult review to write. While I love my home and am happy to finally be in it and somewhat settled, the process and experience getting here was very disappointing. The close date was moved multiple times. Often Lennar would blame outside sources but most times it was due to poor project management. The delays also cost me more money in the interest rate and escrow. Both my realtor and mortgage lender had to make several calls to get answers. My experience with Lennar was less than exciting and fun. However, I am Very pleased with my home. There were delay after delay. There were a few people trying to push and help but at times it seems that I was told things to quiet me. My overall experience was not fun and took the excitement away from the experience of home buying. The seller agent that was on sight? I barely heard from and I had to contact her for questions. Just a mess. But Overall I am happy with my home after waiting to close after a year and six months wait.

The contractor and the customer warranty woman had no time to talk to me…..waited a long time for cabinet drawers……I have a tree still down from Ian & the fact that I closed in the 31st of August, but still couldn’t move until 9/16 since I was waiting for drawers which I finally came in and placed on 10/24. Then one drawer was cracked, so they had to order a new one. That was just the tip of my experience.

Started out rough but ended well

We signed our agreement at the height of the housing boom and it wasn't a great experience. You had no choice in model, colors, or anything except the lot. Also, was constantly told the price was going to go up if we didn't sign right away. By the time we moved in the housing market was plummeting and the experience changed to be more pleasant. The folks at Lennar were more responsive and seemed to care more about our issues/questions. It's sad that high inflation, high interest rates and a mini recession was what it took for Lennar to provide a better customer experience.

Our sales person, Dylan was fantastic. We liked him and he was (and still is) very responsive to any questions or concerns. If I were rating just him alone I would say we had a very good experience. Lennar is a large builder and by all accounts should have their building process down now like a well oiled machine. They are, however, building these homes way too fast without a real attention to detail. Also, when issues are noted they are not addressing them while the work is being completed. One do not use lennar mortgage they are terrible!!!! I know they say you'll save money that way, but your sanity will pay for it!!! The overall build wasn't bad, but their tile contractor did a terrible job in the master shower. You can't even drive a uhaul no matter the size onto the driveway because the concrete is so thin!! They didn't put a man door in the garage and to close off the garage even more they put the big ol tankless hot water heater on the inside!! Terrible idea!! This is the last lennar home I will buy ever!!!

Honestly it was one of the most horrible experiences ever done. The buying process was very unprofessional since they keep on changing the closing day and while me and my family already left the place we used to live at. I’m a disabled Veteran so I thought I will be a little easier for me to move into my new house but this was just a nightmare. The house was not even clean, some things were damaged and the response from the inspector is just not working for me so I ended up doing the cleaning and fixing with my wife for over two weeks. I wouldn’t recommend Lennar to any of my fellow Veterans ...

We have had issues ever since we closed on the house and it was like pulling teeth getting them fixed. The only person that actually helped us was Derrian and he was/is awesome, as he is still helping fix the last remaining issue. We never received our 30 day TLC that we were told would be happening, we just received an email asking how it went but nobody came for it nor was it scheduled. I understand these are homes going up really fast but I at least would like everything to be working/minimal issues for the price we paid.

The sales office was below average at best. I had to constantly chase sales for status updates and information. Was supposed to close on April 1st. Finally closed on May 31st which was very inconvenient for us. It was apparent the closing was rushed and the unit was nowhere close to being ready. Bo, the construction manager, was excellent. Very responsive and helpful in getting repairs completed as promised. Overall experience was a 2 on a scale of 1-5. This is our 3rd property in BN. Had a similar experience with the first 2.
