As far as the home buying process it is easy and simple but the quality in workmanship around the house it is extremely poor. Everything in the house is built too fast therefore the house have problems just like an old house. I already got multiple problems on a "new" house. Lennar will tell you that everything in the house has warranty which it does but, you have to take out of your time to fix problems they made while building the house. Also, it takes them a long time to fix anything. I bought a new house to not have problems of an old house.

Home is substandard with poor workmanship. Lennar did not meet any of our expectations of a newly constructed home. Home was not finished by the closing date despite reassurance that everything would be done. We wanted to delay the closing until everything was completed but Lennar threatened loss of our 10% deposit if we did not close that day. Construction manager apologized and gave his commitment that he would personally make sure everything was done right but broke his promise the next day and said it was not his department or responsibility after closing.

Nothing but issues. Broken stove paint all over floor prices of floor not installed correctly dishwasher installed on wrong side,

Lennar was absolutely the worst home building experience we’ve ever been through. Extremely unorganized. Quality of work was horrendous. Lack of communication. Cleanliness was horrible. We will never build with Lennar again and will do everything we can to get others to avoid this builder.

My Lennar loan officer was not trustworthy or responsive. He didn’t respond to several voicemail over a 4 week period and it cost me .25% on my rate. He claimed to not remember how much money I had for a down payment. This was discussed in our initial call & multiple times thereafter. He did a poor job of fully explaining options & even stated that Lennar’s promise to pay closing costs was “just marketing “! When I arrived to my home orientation, the entire interior had not been painted & there were drywall flaws throughout. The painters were rushing to finish the day of final walkthrough & closing. The finishing work was absolutely terrible! The interior doors were warped, damaged & hung unevenly. The sod was dead in the front & back yards and my sprinkler system still doesn’t work after 7 weeks. I’ve had to schedule repair work with 6 different sub contractors so far. I signed on my home, on that day I had a water leak and the front bath floor was flooded, my dishwasher fell out of the island and the whole ring thing is a mess that was never explained to me. You should note that six weeks later I still do not have a vanity or sink in that bathroom! I had little to no orientation and had no help finding out how to get assistance. You had NO trouble telling me how much money you needed and when you expected it!

Terrible experience. Total junk! Don’t waste your time! False promises just too sell a house!

I had a bad experience with overall delays and last minute changes.

Not a good experience with the sales manager and her forcing us to close on the house to meet month ends numbers when repairs and gas line leak needed to be fixed. They threatened that if we didn't close even though there were major issues that they would put us in default and we would have to pay late fees. For our initial walkthrough the home was a mess, wasn't cleaned and debris all over but wanted to close on time and blame us despite these issues

Months in they pushed closing date and made no progress for more than 6weeks on walk through we had holes in wall no fridge door no molding closet doors still not hung, tile missing grout, walls and ceiling was bowed…36 problems noted. Now the second walk through was much netter but we still had issues with promise to return as well as covering expenses for an extended stay in hotel due to first walk through and we are now almost two months in and no word.

One of the manager had sarcastic behavior. totally frustrated with buying process. There are lots of scenarios which describes the builder behaviour.

I am rating because of the issues I faced after I moved in. I booked remotely house in Devon Square and during inspection we showed multiple things but they didn’t fix even after months of move and even after we raised multiple requests. On top of this they also charged me $200 for inspection I dont know what that was for. Also I got the electricity bill dates before the closing date and they are asking me to pay. What ridiculous this is…

Home was supposed to be completed in 5/2023 which is the reason we selected the property. We were then told it would close in June 2023. We coordinated the sale of our residence to coincide with the closing date in June. The closing was then pushed out to July 2023. We did a walk through of the property several days before the closing and marked numerous items that needed to be repaired (cracked tiles, cracked pavers, exterior issues, dead landscaping, missing sod in numerous places, missing blinds, bugs, not cleaned, missing caulking, drywall issues, holes in concrete, etc). We were told they would be completed by closing. Only a couple of the minor issues were completed. We closed because we had closed on the sale on our home and had no place to go. We were assured the items listed during the walk through would be completed asap. To date we still have a lengthy list on things that have not been completed and since moving in we have found more items. Not a pleasant experience since it seems that once you sign a contract and put down the deposit they do not communicate with you or misinform you. Will never buy a lennar home again , nor could I recommend anyone else to buy one

The seller failed to disclose everything that the house was supposed to have and they compromised on quality for the price. They should have been straightforward with me the first place telling me most stuffs don’t come with the house a week before closing date. I don’t think I can recommend or buy any other house from this builder

I understand home buying can be stressful but this whole process has been beyond insane. No one knows what they are talking about. Good luck getting a call or email back if you reach out. Our closing date was moved and no one told us. Our electric was turned off because even though we asked for the certificate (which the office had the whole time) we were told we needed to wait. We came back from our honeymoon to a hot house and bugs everywhere due to the humidity. We were also told the sod would be put in later since we would be on our honeymoon and it was put in the day of closing so we had to scramble to buy hoses while out of the country to have our lawn watered. Lots of miscommunication or no communication. My husband and I are waiting on our paychecks from lennar seeing how we did more work getting this house to close than they did. We also are having issues with USPS and lennar on our mailing address as well as everyone else in the neighborhood. This is seriously the worst experience I’ve ever been through with a company. Don’t use Lennar, ton of problems and anytime you raise an issue you’re gas lighted by a dude saying it isn’t an issue

This is the worst experience! I've went so far as to send Amy Basne (Senior Advisor), Stuart Miller (Executive Chairman) and Rick Beckwitt (coChief Executive) an email requesting their assistance for home repairs.

recieved email to come to town for walk through before closing! was told the house was ready and we would close two days later!!! walked into home and it was a disaster, not cleaned punch list was terrible. it took 6 walk throughs to get to a reasonable close!!!!!! 5 weeks later! still waiting on items to be done that were promised by management!!! we were also going to buy another house that was my wifes dream home in the same community! but the experience with your company and lack of workmanship might derail the purchase! this is our second home with lennar and I was a contractor in indiana with lennar but your company always blames the subs and takes no responsibilty for your COMPANY!!!!! Every homebuyer on my street had negligence plumbing sewage leaks/water leaks and ect. Homes were rushed put together missing stuff overlooked stuff and customer service did not know what to do had to fight for weeks to get stuff solved. They lied to every homebuyer said we are the only one with the issue

This is my second Lennar new construction home, and it's been a completely different experience compared to the first one. My first Lennar experience was great! This time around has been a different story. From the sales person, Daniel, who was completely rude and unprofessional, to the issues I'm going through now, I'd highly recommend getting an inspection before closing. I did a walk through, but it went by so fast, that I wasn't able to see all the issues. I had a service call back on 7/15 of a laundry list of items, and if it wasn't for me continously following up, they never would have been done. Today is 8/23, and my cabinets finally got repaired today...back from the 7/15 visit. I asked the cabinet person when they were contacted, and he said just last week. It takes 5 weeks to contact the cabinet folks? I also have another laundry list of items that need to be repaired; it's going over 10 days now and still nothing. The work is sloppy! And that's putting it nicely. I had to replace ALL the door knobs because they were covered in paint. Every last one of them. I spent 4 hrs on the floor with a razor and a cloth getting all the paint and excess grout off the floor. There was even paint on the range and dishwasher that I had to get off. Paint on the interior window frames. It's literally everywhere. There are paint drips on the baseboards. There's even paint on the bathroom shower tile. I haven't tackled that yet. And the shower tile grout is uneven and sloppy as well. I had to pay $200 to have someone come in and do a final construction clean because the home was disgusting when I moved in. The interior doors were damaged at some point through the construction process, and instead of replacing them, they just used wood filler. I have 2 that look awful. All of the kitchen and bathroom cabinets looked like they came from a seconds and surplus store. All of them had issues, from actual cracked cabinet door to finish issues. The drywall texture on the wall is awful. You can tell in several areas where the drywall is not the same. It looks like somehow the walls/ceilings were damaged, and whoever did the drywall repair, they didn't match the existing texture. There is a weird looking spot on the living room ceiling that looks like it's bulging, and I have no idea what is even going on there. "Covid" is not an excuse for poor quality and workmanship. With what I'm seeing beyond the drywall, terrifies me on what's behind it. But unfortunately, I can't remove the drywall to see. Please beware. And if you buy your home early enough in the process, I would definitely have construction phase inspections done. ... Más

It was the worst experience ever. I went through a lot to get this home.

If Lennar can save a nickel they will. They did not seal the walls, I am not sure if they just sprayed the walls with texture or if they actually used paint. The landscape was a mess, and we still have problems with the sprinkler system. We have dogs, so every day we have to walk to the yard and pick up styrofoam cups, fast food packages, and other garbage left to the wind. I had to coordinate the mailboxes being put in, they did not know who the waste disposal provider was, and it was a battle trying to get sprinklers, fences, and lawn fixed. The warrantee process is practically non-existent, none of the subcontractors take any pride in their work and blame everybody else for the problems and issues. The worse investment I ever made. ... No recomiendo a Lennar

I went with Lennar because I was under the impression it was a reputable company. The mortgage department is extremely unorganized causing a lot of unnecessary time, work, and stress. At closing, the end of June, there was a list of items still not complete. I was promised the items would be promptly addressed. As of today, 8/23, not one item has been taking care of. Would not recommend Lennar.
