Lack of attention to details. The craftmanship

We have had problems from day 1. Some to be expected, some not. Immediately upon move in, we found foundation issues, painting that needed to be done, light fixtures that fell out of the ceiling, broken air vent that shouldn't have been installed, broken dishwasher, new cabinetry cracked, broken tiles, shower doors with no weather stripping, front door you can see right outside, not installed properly, garage double door bending in half, missing parts/hardware. A Brand new fixer-upper

If you want a Brand new house that you have to fix, buy a Lennar Home. Outside of the lack of craftsmanship throughout the home and garage, there was very little oversight on the contractors during the building process. We would be told that certain things were being done on the home and then find out that nothing had been worked on in weeks. Our home sat for 12 weeks during the inspection process and was failing inspection due to the issues that were there from the initial inspection. Our experience with Lennar was horrible. The quality of our home is terrible and our construction manager, Eric, didn't care about doing his job. He lied and dismissed our concerns. We failed our framing inspection multiple times due to Eric not doing his job. We had a 3rd party inspector come out and pointed out things that were wrong with our framing. Multiple times Eric lied to us saying everything in our report was fixed, just for us to find out it wasn't. We had a great experience with Lennar up until the end. But 2 days before close they sent us an updated survey showing that 60% of our lot was unusable due to easements and buffers. It turns out that had been planned prior to us ever going under contract but was never disclosed. They essentially backed us into closing by waiting until we’d already sold our other home to tell us this. They didn’t sod half of our yard and left construction debris in it. First was told that its was not a special tax district and it is. Quality of build is not good and have to have customer service fix things after the fact. Waived escrow for property tax and now Lennar is going back on the contract…Worst experience ever. I wish i never bought the home

Don’t promote the builder as top of the class, they are not

The sale was promoted as Lennar was top quality. We had no need for upgrades because quality was their focus. That was not correct. Workmanship was sloppy, and response from the site managers is slow or unresponsive. They “hear” us, but do nothing.

Lennar uses the lowest quality materials available. The granite counters were not sealed properly so stains appear from the slightest drop of water. The stove top had been repaired and on initial usage a large chip appeared. The washer and dryer are the cheapest GE has. The dishwasher stopped working after 4 runs and had to be reset. Salesman didn’t help. Wouldn’t comp anything messed up that was their fault that constantly delayed my move in dates. Concrete poured just days before close and cracked. Couldn’t even park in my driveway or garage. Wood work was sloppy and cut short. Drywall had lumps in it where the wall was left uneven. Stairs creek after only a week in home. Unfortunately, we had experience what a lot of our other neighbours also experienced. Lennar project was delayed by over a month and there was no clear answer about why and when it will be ready. We were all left up on the air until 10-12 days before closing. We’re phase 1 of this new construction and there are so many essential things (heater in the winter and water heater to start with) were defective when the home was delivered and there are so many outstanding issues still remaining. Lennar - The craftsmanship is a disaster.

The craftsmanship is a disaster. The corners on the rounded wall has plastic exposed. The floor was not cleaned for paint and tape adhesive. The windows and hot water connection in master bath were not repaired after multiple after multiple complaints. The home hand off was delayed by Lennar which drove the interest rate significantly and the lender was, lack of a better term, super arrogant and wantedly delayed locking the interest rate. The entire experience was really bad for us On the day of “celebration” there was still fencing that needed to be STARTED apart from the many many issues that needed to be addressed in tbe house . On the day of handing over the keys , the house wasnt cleaned , fencing wasnt done . And AFTER we moved in , random people would showup at our house and start working on stuff .

i had the worst possible homebuying experience. this is our first house and lennar shattered all our dreams of having a quality home that we dreamt of for years. First off, our house was not even ready to be walked in by NHO. Lennar turned what should have a been pleasant experience into a nightmare! If I had known then what I know now about the Lennar process and the agonizing efforts to get things fixed, I would never have bought a Lennar home in this community. I hate this home. I will never recommend a Lennar home going forward. I was strong armed into closing when I should not have. This house is still being repaired from the original punch list. They all put cheap material with in month moved in more than 100 issue noted and not resolved and filed customer service gentle man not knowledge able with problems and does not have customer service skills, rushing closing the tickets with out solving problems. water leak from bathroom since 3/4 March to until 4/26 not fix, drainage issued on the right side of the house not fix same time. Finishing was not good still have lots of pain stain on hardwood floor.
