Very disappointing to see Poor workmanship, lack of trust and bad post purchase customer service. Would not recommend Lennar based on my experience.

Sales experience was the worst. 4 closing dates scheduled in November and finally was shoved into November 30th. The dishwasher was not installed when I closed and took my keys. ealk through was cancelled 30 minutes before it was scheduled. I didn't show then I got a call from the sales person who calld me a liar that the appointment wasn't cancelled, even though I sent a screen shot of the email cancelling it. Didn't expect to get yelled at though from the sales person to get on the reschduled appointment. I just would like to vent my frustration but no one at Lennar cares. I wrote a Yelp review and was thinking about reaching out to NBC or Fox consumer complaints to see if they care to hear about my experience. ... Más

How long does it take for cosmetic repairs? I was off from work 5 days for closing and I spent another 5 days after Christmas waiting for technicians to complete the scheduled job request. I communicated with Lennar staff voicing my concerns and was advised I need to schedule another request Monday through Friday? Would I recommend Lennar- absolutely not. I put down 20% and this is what I get! No not happy at all.

Every step of the way, we encountered issues. From the sales process, to the mortgage, to title listing the wrong fees on our CD, to having closing delayed two and a half months, no communication, they had the wrong carpet installed during our walkthrough, items listed to be fixed before closing were not, and now dealing with major issues post-closing and contractors show up whenever they want and just leave without finishing the work. Poor communication, lack of workmanship, no real customer service. They just want to move fast and get your money.

I hated my experience with Lennar and will never t Go through this again! The lack of communication, the issues with closing, and all the little details and problems in my home like it all not being cleaned by my celebration walk. The carpets were t vacuumed, none of the windows were cleaned, scratches in my stainless steel sink as well as a dent in my refrigerator. Paint all over the breaker box. Leaves and dirt in my garage. Stains on the concrete in the garage. Almost every corner in my house is cracked. As well as the master bathroom shower. Even the doors/ walls and corners of my bathrooms are crooked. ... Más

The house was not finished but was told it would be after two weeks of closing.How to make multiple phone calls to get a ceiling fan in an additional Outlet in garage. The floor was an atrocious after touch up painting was done. Also pointed out additional spots were touch up paint need to be done this was not completed either. The floor was notoriously gross and had to call and Stanley steamer to get the floor done this was a battle with Lennar. I would recommend having everything done prior to signing papers and not putting anything Off. Denise a sales lady was the most helpful.

Builder is not at all responsible. Very slow to address issues.

The house was not nearly ready for closing. The windows won’t shut, smoke detectors and lights hanging from the wall, concrete cracked, and I was threatened if I didn’t close by end of November, they would keep my deposit. They skipped the final walk through and were still laying carpet while I was at closing. I would not have closed, if I was not being threatened, they would keep my security deposit.

We settled on a home November 29 that was far from ready and with many hidden issues. We did not want to settle. Lennar brought in two Customer Care staff to assure us everything we could see would be taken care of. Two months later the list has grown and only a few things have been addressed. Once in we found out that the dishwasher was installed wrong, refrigerator was damaged, hot water heater stopped working, sunk pump needed repair, fireplace and hearth cannot use, tile floor cracked from wall to wall,cabinets need repair, tile in bathroom installed wrong, wood floors damaged, woodwork and walls needed to be painted. Screens not installed. No smart system installed as advertised. I could go on and on. Customer Care can’t get service people to come out and fix these issues in any timely timeline. Their foreman had taken another job and didn’t care about overseeing this home before he left. We are left in limbo with a little recourse. No one has reached out to us. ... Más

In my experience I was told the homestead would be ready in 60 days after being told I was off the waiting list April 2021. The rep did not want to disclose the location when I asked, so I had my realtor. Once we had the address I went to view and the framing had just been finished May 2021. I was timing everything to move out of my apt end of June due to their timeline and oh it will be done no worries. Well the home did not get finished until Nov 2021. I say this beware of what you are told by them. If there are issues no one responds to your concerns. The lack there of communication was beyond poor. Even things I escalated to corporate fell upon deaf ears. I was two seconds away from pulling out of this whole thing. I would have went with another builder bc the home I loved was projected to be done around nov -dec time frame. Quality of paint inside home poor, left a lot of paint marks on flooring, water damage to pink installation I ask would that be replaced since Texas has a period of rain. Lennar rushed their product. It shows in the lack of attention to details in their finished product. Also, closing was a nightmare.

During this 6 months Journey our house practically build itself without any concerns or diligence from any of the construction managers. Outstanding issues like the shifting of our entire foundation was never even recognized unless I physically came over to the construction site and made them aware. Our Sales guy Patrick was completely oblivious of the status of our home and when we asked for any updates we would always have to wait for days before getting a response or would never get one at all. Our “Construction manager” changed 5 times during the course of the construction process, and in a few cases the home had no CM assigned to it. They all would say that “they really didn’t know what was going on with our home but that eventually it was going to get built…” We paid about 400k for a home that never felt that it was being built for us. There was no structure and no organization and definitely no communication from the operations side to the home buyers. You cant pretend that people spend this amount of money just to be kept in the dark until the home is completely built. This has not been our first home purchased but it has definitely been the worse. The finished product was unfinished. And we had to make over 30 warranty claims so that they can complete all the outstanding items. Without mentioning the huge grading issue that we were left with, the home being painted the wrong color, the electrical being wired wrong and the knee wall of our loft upstairs being completely loose. I HATE writing bad reviews and over analyzing a purchase. But honestly this process was so bad that it demands the attention of higher ranking personnel. ... Más

I have worked with several other builders and this home buying experience with Lennar by far is the worst. Builder rushed closing when the house was technically not ready. Lots of issues were promised to be fixed by move-in and ended up taking over months. Severe plumbing issues were found and quality of workmanship and materials is way below standard. I will never buy another house from Lennar again.

Don’t try to buy a home around the fiscal year end or any fiscal quarter because your home will be slapped to get it off their books and try to show a good profit. So many problems from rushing through a NHO to closing that problems and issues were not fixed or prior to closing due to doing a “Pre-sign” for closing.

I really have nothing good to say about the experience. Lennar is very slow to respond to issues. I would absolutely not recommend asking for any upgrades as I promise those will get screwed up too. They have already moved on to building the next phase of homes and see little urgency in helping to fix issues with their existing homes. I hope my experience is unique but I don't think it is from what I understand. Good luck if you choose a Lennar home - you'll probably need it

Quality is questionable.They are charging huge money for average or less than average quality. The appraisal of the home is another big issue.If you are unlucky you are ending up paying 50k more for exactly same house booked on exact same day!!All in all no transparency!

Horrible service and worst process I’ve ever been through while buying a home

Not responsive to quality of workmanship and materials.

Irresponsible project manager and low quality of workmanship. My worst experience ever from buying a new home in years.

Very Bad. experience. Terrible craftsmanship.

We were given the opportunity to "punchlist" the home and many of the items were either unaddressed or the tape marks remained after we moved in. The craftsmanship was really poor, as well as the quality of materials. The project superintendent talked down to all of us on the buyer side, including arguing over a clear code violation until it had to be escalated above his head. It was very clear that the priority was speed to market and margin over any sort of pride in their work or customer satisfaction.

Would not build with Lennar again

This is not the first time our family purchases a Lennar home which is the reason we are shocked and disappointed by the poor experience. Our home was delayed and finished months later than expected. At closing, items were not finalized. We were promised these items would be addressed in a timely matter. It has been months since closing and the customer service rep and construction manager are not responding to our inquiries as to when the “temporary items” will be finalized. To top it off, the interior finish has several poor quality products that were visibly damaged at installation. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. This home was poorly built. We has purchased a Lennar home before so it made sense to stick with Lennar as our MUCH less expensive home was built much better. I'm embarrassed to tell ppl about this $600K home because of the crooked walls, terribly low quality &very poor workmanship. Up until this purchase I raved about Lennar. No more! Now I guide ppl away from Lennar at all costs

Lennar use to have a great reputation for a builder but all has changed today. They try maybe not enough workers but Lennar is not what it use to be. One reason I bought this house is because of Lennar's reputation but all has changed. Maybe this note will help them go back to the quality they use to have instead of trying to build more house than they can handle. Thank you!
