Overall, my experience with Lennar has been extremely disappointing. As a homeowner, I trusted that I was purchasing a safe, well-built property. Instead, I am dealing with serious safety hazards, potential structural/plumbing issues, and a lack of accountability from the builder.

Did not purchase home, salesperson was horrible. Whole experience was a nightmare

Terrible financial office no experience

The only positive thing I have to say about my experience is Evelyn on the loan side. She was extremely helpful in helping me! She literally did multiple jobs, because others were not. Multiple things went wrong through the whole process. First time buying a home and it’s been nonstop headache. I haven’t even made my first mortgage payment and my fence fell and Lennar refuses to fix it. Been w/out waste service and was getting the run around and come to find out, you have to have it set up w/ HOA. Which nobody told me, I learned that from the county office after not having trash service for over a month. Gas got shut off, because I thought it was included w/ the electric, which didn’t have hot water for four days. Lastly, they told me they don’t do blue tape during the walkthrough and there were countless imperfections. Such as imperfections all over the walls, ceilings, mismatched paint, my front door has a piece missing out of it and my master bath mirror was broken and they refused to fix it. I learned from 2 of my friends who bought a Lennar home in 2025 got to do a thorough walkthrough w/ blue tape, but I didn’t and I wish I had. Finance was a nightmare, constantky saying one last thing. Then workmanship is shotty, some things caught before clising that they said they would fix. THEY LIED! DON'T TRUST. NASTY PEOPLE. Can't wait for Karma to pay them a visit.

After we move in we find a lot things needs to fix it, but because we didn’t catch when we inspect the house, now we have to summit a request and they make too hard to close. Too much stress

Issues arise, I put tickets in. They get marked completed. Nothing‘s completed. The issues I had at my final walk-through still have not been done even though I’ve also put in more tickets and those have also been marked completed. I do not think there is insulation in parts of my house because the walls are paper thin I can hear people talking outside the vehicles on the road sound like I’m sitting in the road. I have a gas leak that has not been checked, even though I have made them aware. Also when they sent people to clean the house, they left the owners manual in the dishwasher and it burned on the heating element and two months later after scrubbing the dishwasher clean my dishwasher still smells horrific the initial individual that I was in contact with who was supposed to help me with any problems has completely vanished and will not return my messages or phone calls. The only reason I am giving some any stars is because there has been three individuals who have been overly kind but out of two fistfuls that is all. everybody else that I talk to just says oh I understand and nothing gets done and the HOA that I am paying an exuberant amount of money for is doing nothing in this neighborhood. There are cars parked all over the street. People’s yards are full of weeds trash cans are left out all the time and these are all things that should not be happening. ... Más

Our builder Scott assured us that everything would be fine. We even paid for our own private inspection. Not one item in the inspection was addressed despite being told it would be. Nothing in our home was thought about functionally. Poor quality materials that is super expensive and quickly built. You're not buying a home that was crafted. They don't even have basic necessities installed. We have dealt with issues with our HOA fees ( that was supposed to be taken care of the first year), to issues with poor painting. Poor electricity, uneven and brittle floors down to our fridge not being able to fully open. With the exception of a few customer service reps and a supervisor, lennar is untrustworthy... From start to finish, our experience was extremely disappointing. The lender we worked with seemed inexperienced, struggled to answer questions, and appeared intimidated when faced with direct communication and strong personalities. There were also instances where a third family member—who had no involvement in the loan—was unnecessarily brought into the process, which felt unprofessional. Throughout the entire experience, there was a lack of clear communication and professionalism. As buyers, we often felt overlooked and not prioritized. The construction quality has also been a major issue. The workmanship feels rushed and careless, and we’ve been dealing with ongoing cosmetic problems since moving in. It’s frustrating to see what appears to be a lack of attention to detail from the construction crews, along with dismissive attitudes when concerns are raised. Overall, I would not recommend purchasing a home from Lennar based on our experience. There seems to be constant internal changes, and as homeowners, we felt pushed aside rather than supported. ... Our experience with Lennar was extremely disappointing, primarily due to poor communication throughout the entire process. From the beginning, our sales agent did not clearly communicate which homes were available, which made the search more difficult than it should have been. Communication issues continued even after closing. At one point, our main point of contact (the sales agent) left, and no one informed us we only found out after trying to reach them ourselves. As first-time homebuyers, we expected more guidance. Instead, we were often left to figure out next steps on our own, with little to no support when questions or situations came up. Before closing, we pointed out multiple issues during our walkthrough, but many of these were never addressed. At our 30-day walkthrough, we found that several of those same issues had still not been fixed or even properly documented in service cases. When contractors did come out, the problems were not resolved. Additionally, communication with our home care representative has been poor and unresponsive, adding to the frustration. While we are happy with the home itself, the overall experience was far from smooth or professional, and did not meet the expectations that were set. ... Más

My tenant noticed gas leak smell at home and only resulted to finger pointing. Lennar pointing to Appliance Company and the Appliance Company pointing to plumbing and Gas Company. The Gas Company then pointing to the others. When nobody is taking ownership I expect Lennar to bring all of them together and get the issue resolved. My experience has been very painful 2 months into the purchase. Also at the purchase time I was not told that HOA is going to take trash ownership too. I was expecting trash to be another utility that the tenants owns and pays for. It makes no sense for it to be including in HOA. ... Más

Awful home buying experience

I was told in order to purchase a Truman townhome, I was required to go thru New Castle Co Workforce housing. It was a huge pain. The cost of my home increased from $400k to $412k and I wasn’t informed of the increase. 30 Days from agreement to paperwork, it jumped. The defense was that the prices were set by the county. Now I see that the Truman next to me is selling for $349k. That is a huge fall. How can I not feel ripped off. I settled Dec22nd. Less then 60 days the price dropped that much. Sales office says whatever, to get a sale. I am telling others to avoid Lennar.

Cheap crappy quailty, very overpriced and cookie cutter bland junk, not much more to say than, RUN and don't buy these homes, buy an already built home from 2019 or before. Not good workmanship after 2020, everythign is mass produced and no one pays attention to the little details. Very expensive bla homes.

It’s unfortunate to be writing this review. I can’t believe all the horror stories we heard prior to buying are actually true. We received some very last minute bad surprises on closing day. Thankfully our agent fought for us and got us some relief so we could still close. The quality of everything installed was also extremely poor. Without going too much into details, I will not recommend this company.

Craftsmanship and quality is junk! Put zero effort into building a home that we paid a lot of money for! One of the worst craftsmanship that I have ever encountered. If I could return the home I would! It will be the first and last time I will ever purchase a Lennar home. I would never recommend Lennar homes to friends or family!

On the other hand, My overall experience from Lennar is a “0”. I purchased a home in December 2025. Their system was mediocre, inefficient, confusing, and the home overpriced for what I paid for it. They’ll make it look like the price is right, but it is not. They will get their money in many other ways during the process before closing on your home. Many unknown numbers included in the closing documents for charges that should not have been there, or other charges for things that otherwise could have been waved or eliminated altogether. Their financing lender services were horrible, unprofessional, untrusted and, in my case, there were too many different people involved making the system incredibly unworthy. Once the closing date takes place, it is another story of more confusion, the running around having them fix anything. Their so called “Virtual” meeting where you must use your personal phone to show them what you are complaining about fulfils their willingness to have the issue fixed. It almost feels like you must prove to them that your complaint about fixing anything in your home must be proven before being approved, instead of honoring the warranty that comes with the house. Having to pay for two different HOA’s for your house is beyond me and extremely confusing and unfriendly. The constant harassment, threats and bullying approach from HOA staff about home infraction violations is disturbing and illegal. Their HOA system is not centralized, making their system navigation a big inconvenience, frustrating and certainly unfriendly to use. Amenities are far from the house, and not big enough for all the people living within the community. Their vision is more of quantity, instead of quality homes as my house after only a few weeks of purchase, water leaked inside of one of the room’s walls making a big mess creating a long week of many different types of inconvenience. Overall, it was a bad experience, but we need to buy properties. That’s why we got that one.

Zero quality in the build. Zero craftsmanship Multiple problems not fixed. Lennar considers everything cosmetic or within “variance” Do not buy as they will not fix items and disniss your warranty issues. .

Lennar is the worst home builder. Their sales representatives are bad and homes do not have any latest amenities.

The paint used for the defects found on the walls or doors did not match. We have not even moved in the house and there is a crack in the living area already.

From the moment we sign the sells agreement to the now, dealing with the entire sales staff, the loan officer staff, the title company, and now the warranty staff, they have lied to us, did everything to deceive us, provide low bid ghetto products. Lennar are criminals they should all be in jail.

The floor is not good, quality of the appliances is bad

The guy that showed us the house was a complete joke, Christopher. He didn't absolutely nothing for us. There was nothing but lies after lies after lies just to close on the house. It literally was the worst experience of my life

we did not close as promised, and then it was a nightmare. Once we moved in the quality of the home was subpar. The paint on the walls are coming off. The sidewalk was not finished with the concrete and there was a big hole in the front yard that did not have a cover on it from the manhole. There was a manhole cover in the backyard that was full of debris and trash. I have called several times to get this taken care of and was told that I needed to turn it over to warranty And then that takes forever for them to respond. I would not recommend these homes to anyone we’re stuck with it for now and we will live with not to mention an HOA is nothing but a pain ... Más
