It really sucked very bad. Call corporate to find out why

Items in the home were removed without my knowledge, and when I questioned it after purchasing, I was told that they were removed. No one follows up after money is transferred .

Buyer beware of what you are getting into with Lennar at Lorraine Lakes. Poor communication from Bobbi the sales agent, a terrible experience with Fernando the "construction manager" and deception from both individuals when it came to the closing issues on our new $700k+ home. It is our dream home in our dream neighborhood. But we never dreamed we would have such a poor experience buying a home this expensive. 6 weeks after closing, we are still awaiting resolution on issues that were identified at our walkthru and were supposed to have been fixed within 24 hours of closing. Our home is sloppily constructed. Evidence of poor workmanship is present in every room. The master shower floor is being scheduled for a complete removal and replacement after having been re-grouted 2x already post closing. Kitchen cabinets being ordered for replacement. Our cooktop is not permanently mounted and slides freely in its opening, scratching the quartz (and warranty refuses to address it). Our carpet in our closet was not completed for 3 weeks after closing. Broken tiles, whole sections not caulked. Just a nightmare of problems. Fernando built a poor version of a beautiful house, was arrogant and difficult to communicate with and chose to throw a hissy fit and stomp out of our only walkthru when we made our concerns known. The warranty team has been struggling to keep up with all our tickets. We have so many outstanding issues I have a hard time keeping them all straight. At least Heather in the warranty dept seems to care and answers the phone and emails about half the time. Once they have your money and you close, you lose all leverage. Beware. ... Más

Poor quality workmanship throughout our entire house and poor communication and followup. We moved in almost 2 months ago and some issues still have not been fixed/worked on. Will never recommend a Lennar home to anyone.

This house is nothing but issues from the beginning. I would never ever ask anyone to buy a home with Lennar again. Just bad communication with everything and cheap product.

The whole buying experience was horrible. Once I moved in I found so many issues with the house. The AC drain line was not connected so there was water damaged and the dryer vent pipe was not put it. They had to cut the walls and fix the water damage and it took a month to fix.

My kitchen cabinets are still not finished and I have 13 cracked travertine pool times that are cracked, also on driveway paver is cracked. I should not have closed when I did. I trusted and never again

Craftsmanship was horrible. We were so depressed with the process. The finishing work is terrible, cabinets crooked, floors not done well, paint everywhere, windows mismatched and low quality, fixtures not installed right. Cheap, cheap, cheap. I do not know how you can increase prices and decrease quality. It’s very sad but everyone should be warned

I closed on my home in February of 2023 and have had multiple issues come up... cracks appeared between the walls and ceiling, flooring lifted up and cracked. spaces showing between floor boards, that was explained as "acceptable" as long as you cant fit a credit card between the spaces. Shoddy paint jobs, and it takes 2-3 weeks to get anything scheduled to try to get the issues fixed. When you say something, you're made to feel like you are imposing on them to fix things that should have been fixed before closing. For the supposed walkthru, was told "you just look for the paint issues, and we will take care everything else. Being a new homebuyer I stupidly trusted them, and when I walked into my house after closing, find all kinds of things that should have been done. squeaking doors because they didn't fit the door in correctly to the door frame, and now the frame needs to be shaved. the Garage door has a wide crack on one of the pipes that hold the bay, and when I pointed it out, was told "that's the way they all come like that". Totally wish I could go back in time and tell myself to NOT take this house. NOT worth the headaches I am going through just trying to get things fixed the way they should be, the way they should have been before I even moved in. I am NOT satisfied with my purchase, and if I knew of a way I could get out of it, I would take it in a heartbeat, Its my opinion that NOONE should purchase a LENNAR home unless they are a handyman and are willing to work on the house yourself to fix the problem they seem to refuse to want to fix. Once they hook you into buying you are no longer important. Our concerns are placed on the back burner. Been waiting 6 wks. for weeds to be cut and grass to be planted. House looks like a jungle outside. Even had a snake show up. Sprinkler has been on and never shut off .6 wks. and still receiving guests to a rocky and weedy front yard.

Stucco not applied correctly. They were in a hurry and it is now peeling off the house. Front yard graded in the freeze. Is now lumpy and undermined with roof runoff and needs to be completely redone.

Don’t buy a Lennar Home if you expect to receive a nice yard to go with it!!!

Home was delivered 1 year late with very poor craftsmanship and little quality control. House was not delivered in moved in condition and was very dirty. Craftsmanship is equivalent to DIY. Uneven flooring, cracked tiles, cracked grout, loose, rotted, moldy subfloors, missing cabinetry, electrical issues, crooked walls, sloppy paint and trim work.

2 days after moving in to the new construction home my downstairs bathroom had a sewage back up and overflow. I had 6 inches of sewage in my entire bottom floor of the house. Bayonet was sent out to scope the lines and clear the clog, they found construction rags blocking the path and the cause for the over flow. This over flow ruined almost all of my furniture and everything in the boxes that had not been unpacked yet sitting in my living room. I was told everything would be covered by Lennar, this was not true. 3 weeks of very loud dehumidifiers running 24/7, which increased my electric bill by almost $200, my living room was tented off where I could hardly get into my kitchen for 4 weeks, I also had to miss a lot of work just to be home while they replaced the drywall that had been damaged. I am a first time home buyer who has had a horrible experience with Lennar through this process. I have still not received an apology for the incompetence of the construction workers, only god knows how they got the construction rags in the pipes. After everything got repaired I proceed to ask about when I would be reimbursed for my personal belongings that were damaged considering I had been told the whole time that I would be reimbursed. I was then given a warranty handbook and told to read a section on page 9 that tells me they aren’t responsible for personal belongings damaged even though I have no control over this. I am getting married in august and still have about 10k that has to be paid off. I am now put further in debt because I have to buy all new furniture. This was supposed to be a fresh start and the beginning to an amazing next set of years, instead I am stuck in a rut thanks to Lennar. What a horrible experience this has been. Our homebuying journey started in January 2022 with Lennar. With the market going crazy and labor/product shortages, Lennar suspended new sales of lots. The floor plan was what we fell in love with...and after being on the top of waitlist for 4 months, they raised the price 30k and rates rose from 3 to 6%... yet decided to sign and move forward. My wife and I got to choose everything we wanted in our home and were very excited. 2 weeks after signing, we found out we were pregnant after trying for about a year! Foundation was poured, and we have our initial building consultation where we were quoted 1 inch of fall for every 10 ft per the Construction Manager. Unfortunately, that 1 inch per 10 feet became closer to 10 -12 inches per 10 ft as the home progressed. For investment purposes and my families enjoyment of the yard, we decided the lot was not something we could live with. I was not about to spend $570,000 on an almost unusable backyard due to sloping. My wife and I decided to shift to another house already being built that also was scheduled to be completed prior to the birth of our first child. Our inspector found numerous items throughout the building process which coincided with a very dry fall. During the last 3 weeks of construction, the community warranty representative was on leave, the construction manager got COVID and the main carpenter parted ways with Lennar. This left quite a few items on the home finished poorly with few workers to repair in a timely fashion as our closing was between Christmas and New Years. One such item was a broken window that was supposedly ordered prior to closing....only to find out that the construction manager was not true to his word and we now had to submit a warranty claim. If you are looking for fast acting response times from a builder, Lennar is not that builder. It took 67 days to have a broken window pane repaired after reaching out to the company on 7 separate occasions, ultimately including a call to the Indianapolis Division President. We've had shingles blow off and have to be repaired 3 times, foundation leaking via cracks by both basement egress windows, a gas leak at our oven, siding VIOLENTLY rattling at multiple points throughout the home, concrete with negative sloping towards the home at the garage threshold and at front porch, bricks left in the kiln took long and installed on the home with large cracks (dozens), crooked kitchen cabinets and handles, a very crooked stair railing, and about 20 other smaller items. My favorite, though, has to be the 7 leaking windows. We are now 107 days post-closing and they still leak every time it rains. Recently, my wife and I came downstairs to a pool of water on our dining room floor. 107 days is almost a 3rd of the 1 year warranty, which Lennar has expressed they will not extend despite the unreasonable timeframe to repair this water intrusion...not to mention this major slipping hazard for my wife and baby girl. Being a real estate agent, the silver lining is that this horrendous experience has happened to me and not a client I am representing. I couldn't imagine the negative social media publicity I would get from someone complaining about this kind of outrageous experience. I will definitely be thinking twice when consulting a client who is interested in a Lennar home in the future. The only reason the responsiveness is not a 1 star is because of Wayne. The community warranty manager that came back from medical leave to clean up someone else's mess. This guy was behind the eight ball and has been nothing put polite and responsive to my wife and I. Unfortunately, not all Lennar employees are Wayne and he alone couldn't make up for the others' mistakes/communcation. ... Más

Be careful and double check everything

Usually I don’t do reviews unless it’s really demanding. Here goes my 2 cents Sales Initially it all started off well. I had another rep assigned just before closing as the previous rep left Lennar. And this new rep is rude and arrogant. I’m glad I don’t have to work a lot with the new rep besides some electronic paper work. In fact I never met the new rep. I wonder how someone with this attitude survives in this role. Mortgage This was smooth. As a first time home buyer I had a lot of unknowns and thus confusion. Rio was patient and took time to explain everything in detail and even repeated twice at times. He is a true customer centric person. Closing Let's start with positives, closing manager Jenny is extraordinary. She’s very understanding and a true gold star. Sadly everything except the closing manager(Jenny) is awful. Identified many issues during the walk through. Also gave the list from private inspection and only few were addressed. Some major things were fixed only at 7pm on the closing date which is still an issue today. Unlike other builders there is no closing ceremony. Lately I learnt that actually there were ceremonies for others. May be a bias(?). Closing was moved with very short notice leading to an unnecessary day off from work. I’m kind of forced to close as planned by the business irrespective of issues and even threatened that If I won’t close on time then I have to pay a certain percentage each day of delay. I feel everything was just rushed to meet closing date/targets trading off construction quality and customer experience. Just to understand the seriousness of the quality concern I’ll give a couple of examples. An uneven/non straight wall. Pillars at the front are not built as per the plan and only partially corrected after I noticed & asked. (You may think I’m exaggerating/overreacting but I have email communication for everything I stated above if needed) Warranty This is another disaster. Fixing issues identified during the walk through created another new set. I was promised those will be addressed at the earliest after the close. Yet I’m still here raising tickets and waiting forever for the issues to be fixed. Overall it’s NOT such a great experience. If given a chance I would rethink my decision. ... Más

Terrible customer service. Can’t get anyone to answer calls, still haven’t gotten my mortgage situated. Yard was done terribly.

Since we close the house we have lot of issues especially dishwasher not working at all Lennar suppose to solve this push to Ge the front and back they never finish brick work in side lot of places paint on floor final finishing is very bad we spend lot of money now we have to do it our self every time you call they said this is not us we dont cover lots small things never finish again workmanship is very bad

I’m still waiting for issues to be corrected on my home. I asked about why there are no window screens and was told that they where removed. I’ve never bought a home with out them. There is no documentation that says you wouldn’t have them. The painters are using water down paint and just are overall sloppy. The exterior is missing calking around all windows overhang. My salesman never called stayed in touch throughout my whole buying experience. If it wasn’t for my daughter staying on top of everything, I would have never closed.

My home buying experience was loaded with delays and disappointments. The quality of these houses is also not very good. I would look at moving somewhere else if I had to do it over again.
