Lennar released property to me as a purchaser with grading and drainage issues. Part of the property is a retention wall, house is built on a slope. During the construction, after hurricane Ian sink holes appeared on the property. In the next couple of visits, I expressed my concern with the stability of the land, but construction engineer said that Lennar will do it right. In good faith, I trusted that the builder have good reputation and will not allow unsolved problems before passing the property to the purchaser. I was very very wrong… 10 days after the closing, sink holes and hazard appeared on the property and compromised the integrity of the retention wall. The site is devastating. Here now about 45 days i am getting run-around and their land development that was supposed to come for assessment 2 days ago never showed up. We made attempt to connect with the warranty point person, he didn’t return the call. No one deserves this, huge problems, anxiety, concerns. I cannot even begin to explain the hardship in this journey that took all the joy and experience of a new home that I worked for all my life. ... Más

Lennar is horrible. Offered an outrageous interest rate. Had us do a walkthrough when the house was nowhere close to being ready. Rude and unaccommodating staff. Extremely stressful and disappointing experience.

We identified multiple issues throughout the process of the build, yet they were not rectified. Now we are stuck with a large inconvenience as these things still need to be fixed and the emotional stress of not being able to fully move into our new house. The house has to be repainted, multiple windows replaced due to improper installation leaving windows to not close, the conditioned crawl space was not professionally done, multiple finishing issues throughout the house, and the exterior of the house has equal amount of finishing issues and sections of concrete needing to be repoured due to wood and debris being allowed to get into the concrete causing it to crack due to water/ice expansion. Even the design is flawed, given we have over a 110 gallon master bath tub but only a 50 gallon water heater. Industry standard calls for a minimum 2/3 ratio which would be approximately a 75 gallon water heater (why not install a tankless system???). The mortgage/lending team were not familiar with the military or VA loans which was disheartening. I feel like I grossly overpaid, expecting a Lennar quality home that you’d see in other states, but received an “economy” build where you’d expect corners to be cut and quality to be poor. We bought our first home in SC with DH Horton and thought they needed to improve their craftsmanship, but Lennar has them beat two fold!! It was a negative experience commencing with the home orientations == closing had to be pushed back because of the inadequacy in the non-completion and sloppiness in construction, overlooking details we asked to be fixed and just plain ignoring before closing! The quality or lack of quality by the "so called cleaning crew" to make the house be cleaned correctly; paint stains all over the floors! One of the positive attributes of DH Horton is that they give the new homeowners a 10 month walk through were they fixed any cracks, nail studs that occur with the house settling. Lennar just cleans their hands and says "it's your problem now"!!! Although it may be stipulated in the "warranty", this should not be an issue to have this be part of what should be covered in your 1 year warranty. When you walk into the model, it gives you the illusion that Lennar is paying close attention to the craftsmanship and details, but that is all it is -- an illusion! We've had the same conversation with some of the other new owners, and it's always the same speech given by your salesforce "you have to remember these are not custom built homes -- therefore, you can't expect everything to be perfect!" Well, when you're paying in the $300's for a new home, we should have certain expectations as a finished product! PS: I rated a two star for "value for price paid" because after we bought our house, we find out there were 8 houses for sale for $40-$50,000 less -- how is that interpreted as getting a good value for your money! ... My experience was less than satisfying. At least I made it through the absolute train wreck from start to my 5 hour cluster of a closing experience and thought I could live happily in my home. But, NO!! Lennar didn't schedule a final inspection for the loan and out of the blue nearly 2 months after I close I find out they are threatening legal against me for them not scheduling an inspection??? This is beyond ridiculous!!

Was really excited to buy my first home and everything seemed great at the beginning. That was about the only good experience. From the buying experience, to the build, to the close, everything was a nightmare and I would never recommend Lennar to my worst enemy. The title office called me as I was on the way to close telling me I owed more money, literally as I was driving there after being told multiple times I owed nothing more. "Glitch" in their system was the excuse. The house was unfinished when I moved in, and is still unfinished. Almost all of my kitchen cabinets are broken or missing, cracks in tiles, bathroom cabinets broken, showers unfinished, granite countertops not sealed, cheaped out on a bunch of materials that most of the neighborhood got but I didn't, because they "ran out of material" to do my garage floor, cabinet handles, brick wall outside, etc. The construction manager Travis literally told me he was going to fight me if he saw me outside of work because I told them they were doing a bad job after being patient for months and understanding all of their push backs and excuses for not getting the job done. The list goes on but this is just the stuff off the top of my head after being in the home for two months. Again, get as far away from this builder as you can. They hide behind their contracts and take ZERO pride in their work/customer service because they know there is nothing you can do to them after you sign your life away and give them the down payment. The worst experience of my life buying home from Lennar. Bad salesman from start to finish with little to no help , construction manager cheating and treat you like a kid, paint finish crack and final walk have to delay because no one did it from the first walk , after they touch up move in the paint dry and show crack again leaving the buyer stuck . Never never buy from Lennar

We have built 7 houses and this was the worst experience of any of them.

I was hoping for this new home build to be a great experience, but unfortunately every aspect of this process was terrible. From the sales team, to the financing, to the quality of work, to the final inspections my wife and I were extremely dissatisfied. During the financing process Lennars rates were higher than others and they used scare tactics such as “you will not get your keys after closing if you do not use Lennar Lending”. This was untrue as were most things Lennar informed me. Once the home was built and an inspection was conducted it was worst that we could have imagined. We had over 300 corrections that needed to be made. We were informed these would all be completed, yet they only had 7 days to do so. As my wife and I contemplated if we were or were not going to close on this house our concerns grew greater as the concerns we pointed out did not get touched until the Sunday before our closing. Majority (85%) of the problems we pointed out never got touched or repaired and it drives us INSANE to live in a home with so many imperfections. I have seen homes built in the 80’s that is in better condition than the interior of our home, which is less than 60 days old. I am extremely disappointed in the process and workmanship of Lennar and would never recommend them to anybody. If you are contemplating purchasing a new home from them I would heavily recommend a home inspector (Lennar will also use scare tactics and tell you that using your own inspector will most likely delay your closing) at a minimum. This purchase has been by far the worst investment I have made and just hope to break even by the time it is time to sell. I love our neighborhood, but this house was made, designed, and constructed atrociously and the builder should be ashamed of themselves for selling this shabby product. If you are dealing with Shelley or Angela from Harvest Point I highly recommend you get with Angela’s supervisor and ditch Lennar lending as fast as possible. Very poor workmanship with numerous issues for a brand new home. Poor quality materials with rushed installation lead to poor quality. Extremely poor attention to detail.

First weekend we moved in the builder supplied en-suite washer leaked causing water damage that was exacerbated by the fact that their customer service rep doesn’t check messages after hours or on weekends. The floor got ripped up by the water remediation company and a month later has not been repaired. Lennar does not care about you after you close. Horrible company.

My new home was delivered unfinished. No follow-up on when things will get fixed. To name a few issues of MANY, my kitchen is unfinished, closet doors were not painted correctly, all doors are damaged, concrete floors in porch and patio are ruined, and after closing, we found out there is no infrastructure for the internet (we live in a "connected ultra wifi community."

Inspect your home thoroughly before closing! Workmanship issues may not be covered under their very lmiited warranty.

Please do not EVER purchase a home with Lennar, the customer service is awful. They do no reply to request. The home are rushed and have so many errors. The materials are cheap and the quality of the home is poor. Im looking to sale my home ASAP and build elsewhere with another builder.

Absolute horrible experience from beginning with our sales person to the very end. They have no ethics and do not follow true building codes. Sakes people tell you lies, the floor plan is 3rd grade pictures, craftsmanship of the house is beyond low grade, project managers aren’t even licensed builders which is why so many issues occur. No follow up from top to bottom. I closed in September and have 3 page punch list that has taken forever. I’ve had to have outside vendors come in. 48 outlets on 2 breakers isn’t even electrical code despite them trying to convince you it is. I can go on forever with all of the issues that have and are occurring. Lennar doesn’t care so avoid buying a Lennar home. I will continue to advocate this message on every social media platform until this corruption is exposed. ... Más

The home was poorly finished. Lennar massively delayed completion, cut corners on construction quality to try to force completion, and skimped on promised appliances and fixtures. I am repeat buyer from Lennar, but my experience was so poor this time that I will not buy another home from Lennar and advice friends against it as well.

Horrible experience, will not recommend anyone to buy a Lennar home. Pressure their client’s to close on homes that are not finished and getting them to do any repairs is a hassle.

Sales lady wasn’t ethical. Charges were not disclosed upfront. The townhome wasn’t ready at the closing. Struggling to get the paint issues resolved after 2 months of closing. Poor workmanship

Overall the experience was terrible. Our Lennar salesman never answered her phone. Always rude when we finally got ahold of her she had no idea what was going on. House looks like it was built by a toddler. No attention to details, paint everywhere on outlet covers, my brand new carpet, windows all have paint on them. House was suppose to be cleaned before closing that was never done. Nobody answers the phone to get anything taken care of.

Lennar uses unskilled contractors and cheap materials, contractors and subcontractors don’t know what they’re doing and have this “I don’t care” attitude. Getting anything done or fixed or repaired is extremely difficult and have to resort to escalating to Lennar Head Office. Construction managers and customer service reps all make big promise, trying to get you to close sooner. As soon as you Close on your house, game over, Lennar won’t touch or repair anything. Lennar needs to learn to treat their customers with respect. It’s very difficult dealing with Lennar. I hope that Lennar, some day will learn from their competitors D-R Horton - their home sites are clean and tidy, D-R H uses good materials and their contractors do a better job. Go to any Lennar construction home site and it looks like it was hit by a hurricane. Lennar doesn’t even have security at their new communities, homes are often targeted by thieves who break in and steal from new homes or simply walk into any open homes and steal brand new materials. This has been brought up to Lennar locally and no one does anything about security. All they need to do is , have a security guard or a camera that won’t allow people with pickup trucks to drive into the new community after 8PM or at least take a picture of their license plate. Nobody should be driving into the community and roaming around at night and late at night , might night and past midnight. I guess Lennar upper management don’t care that thieves steal material and appliances from homesites, I’m sure it’s cheaper to hire a guard for 8 hrs at night at $10 per hr but Lennar won’t do it. Lennar used to have cameras with lights on poles in new communities with signs “no trespassing, video surveillance etc””. Lennar has removed all of that. It doesn’t make sense. ... Más

I have owned several homes in my lifetime. Some new builds and some resales. NEVER have had such a terrible experience as with this home. When I wasn’t being ignored; I was being lied to. I have done my best to patiently work through the Lennar process but at this point I am all out of nice.

Our experience with Lennar builders was bad from start to finish. We were pressured into a walk-thru before the house was completed. This resulted in additional pressure to close before the end of the month and before fixes were complete. We were told during the walk-thru that we would be supplied touch-up paint, which we didn't receive. We have asked several times for specific color names that were used and still have not received. Attention to detail on the finishing of the house was poor, obviously the constrution manager didn't care in shotty craftsmanship. We've had nothing but trouble with all the technology included in the house. We've reached out several times to the custumer care specialist, who refused to return calls or help in any way. Our sales person was relocated to another development, therefore, was not in a position to help with any questions we asked. On the day we closed, which everyone knew was happening, our keys were locked in the sales office with no one working that day to get them. The auto emails have overwelmed my inbox, from Lennar Mortage to the customer care person and there is no way to stop them from coming. We hope the home warrenty process is better than the building process! This was our first experience building a house and unfortunately we had a terrible experience with Lennar!! From sales to closing an absolute HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Our sales person Matt was MIA most of the time. Our house was not ready for closing but expected us to close anyway. All screens were bent, painting and caulking was horrific. We have a mice problem, front doors don't lock. garage door dented. Because we sold our other home they had us over a barrel cuz we needed to move in. The house was dirty. Their follow up in every department was atrocious and still is. Extremely unhappy.... they don't care! We are seniors in our 80's and feel they took advantage of us. Very negligent. unfortunately this review is not letting me upload pictures. We have been in home for 2 months and still most repairs not completed. ... Más
