I was an out of state buyer, from loan application processing to payments to electronic signatures of contract - all were done through online/remote experience. Excellent Technology and Systems to enable contactless buying experience during Covid-19 period.

Overall very happy however some options were not made clear what the impact would be on the final design and once the purchase agreement is signed the level of customer service declines. Make sure to do all your negotiations prior to signing.

Communication about home was lacking at times throughout the process. Numerous issues, mostly minor, but still issues with workmanship. Poorly painted walls, caulking, drywall. Seems rushed and lacking attention to detail

Thoroughly inspect home prior to closing. Have any issues addressed during the building process and before closing. Even though there is a warranty, it is much easier to have any visible issues corrected before moving in to your new home rather than afterwards. Think the quality of the finish work needs to be improved and work of contractors monitored more closely (especially tile contractors, drywall contractors, and finish (trim, paint) and held to a higher standard.

The materials quality for some parts are really not worth the price, and the plumber doesn't show with his/her appointment on day.

Don’t ask for same documents several time by the mortgage people.

Work list was not completed before closing. Calls to realtor and title company were not returned after closing.

Great place to call home in a Pulte built house.

The house is leaking less than 30 days after closing and the heat system is not working in just 30 days.

Workmanship was inferior. Structural, plumbing and electrical areas were missed. Homeowners had to notify construction team of concerns. Trades were careless.

It’s average. About what you’d expect from building a home from a large company. Less choices, takes a minute to respond, but they do respond on everything.

Everything went as planned and upto satisfaction

Pulte has a great team at every division. It is one stop shop for home buyers. They took care of mortgage and insurance as well. It would be nice if the houses/rooms are sound proof. Even a small noise in the living room or any other room can be heard the entire house. They have good team who are pretty responsive and takes care of the issues that we encounter after moving in/warranty period.

The weekly construction updates were very helpful and comforting. We always felt welcome to visit the site. The sales and construction team responded to inquiries in a reasonable timeframe. We wish there was an official 30-day walk-through after purchase.

Closing was stressful. Underwriter was still asking for documents the day before scheduled close. Lots of issues on the initial inspection that weren’t addressed. Still lots of issues to take care of on the 30 day inspection. Not great quality of workmanship. Lots of paint splatter from walls to ceiling

I do love my new home! The design, features and options are exceptional! I believe there could be improvement in the final stages of completion before closing. The house had paint paint drips on the floor tile throughout the house, the washer was not fully installed causing a flood during the first load and the house was not properly cleaned prior to move in. A Pulte punch-out team would be ideal to to take care of these concerns prior to move in. The warranty manager has efficiently addressed most of the concerns identified after moving in.

We have built several homes, but never from a distance. Initial contact and questions were handled. Decisions made by Pulte during construction were questionable and we were never consulted. Now decisions and construction quality are "our problems". We understand getting the best price, and Pulte did good with that, however the cost in attention to detail is higher than we would have liked. Still happy with the design, but we will be "fixing" our NEW home for some time to come.

Overall, Pulte was fine. We are one of the first homes on our street, and the contractors and trades working on the other houses do not respect our property line, and play their radio (music) way too loud!

I would make sure that all issues with the construction of your house be resolved before closing on your house.

With any new build, there are going to be issues and naturally the construction crew is going to be understaffed and overworked. The quality of the materials are just OK, especially the cabinets. The wood is soft and the paint scratches off so easily. Ours weren't installed correctly so we had to go through and re-install a lot of them. And there are always going to be little things that just weren't done correctly. Switches that weren't installed correctly, or one switch for 7 different lights. It took the entire length of the build, from framework until 6 weeks after we moved in for them to finally install a window in our guest shower area that didn't show the entire neighborhood the person showering there. I asked and asked and asked. So if you can overlook little things like that and the standard crazy upcharges for everything, then this was overall a good home. Our purchase experience was just OK, we just wish more things had been explained to us at the get go. But overall we are happy with the home. It was just an exhausting experience to go through. ... Building of this house would have been much smoother if the field manager was more attentive and aware of selections to make sure correct selections are installed and also to have more communication with the buyer during the process and what to expect during the construction of the house. Sales associates were all very helpful but should know more about construction to answer questions when choosing to purchase a home since you don't meet your field manager until well into construction. Closing went smooth, house completed in time frame predicted.
