Slow building process at first. The initial construction manager was not giving updates on progress regularly as he was supposed to. Then as the building process pick up, there were some areas that were overlooked (like the kitchen range did not vent outside like it was supposed to until we said something, the outside windows were not completed). Then we felt a sense of being rushed to closing. Our kitchen appliances were not available prior to closing and we had to have temporary appliances that were supposed to be similar in quality and grade to our chosen appliances. This was not the case for our stove which is not functioning to our satisfaction to this date. It has been 6 weeks since our closing. We requested alternate stove but did not get a response. The more recent construction manager was very responsive initially to our requests to fix certain items prior to closing but since closing, he has not been as responsive in keeping us updated on the status of when our kitchen appliances will arrive. We still have areas outside the house that need to be fixed but still waiting on weather warming up. I hope Pulte will keep their word and do a better job with finishing the job. ... Más

The Sales People need to care more about their customers and treat them with respect. Our Building Manager was Great he always put our needs first more employees should be like him.

The quality of home was average. There were a lot of issue in the new home. There are patches of spike obvious throughout the house. Nails popping out from the carpet hurting everyone in the home who is not wearing shoes. Paint is missing on some patches. All electric sockets and switches are crooked. no privacy lock in any bedroom except the master one. Curtain rod and towel rod missing in the full bath. Unremovable lump of glue on the wooden floor. scratches, marks and chemical stains on walls. Poor usage of extra space.

Pulte was, mostly, straight forward with communication in the long process from contract to closing. We were kept well informed during the construction process. And the finish house was, mostly, how it was envisioned on the plans.

I think the Pulte employees were all very well intentioned. I cannot know that about management as my interaction with them was lacking. I do think they were more interested in getting the house finished/closed than build quality. I feel like the completion of the house was rushed to get it closed. That's been reflected in the final appearance - the painting is seriously poor. We could have done a better job. Looks like 1 coat, numerous show through areas, ceiling paint on walls, wall paint on ceiling, semi-gloss on ceiling touch up areas, dry wall voids; crooked bathroom light fixture; severe scratching on cabinets. ... Good comfortable house. Things to be fixed take longer than expected. Nothing to do with material just simply getting things fixed.

My sales consultant was wonderful, which made me go with Pulte. She was knowledgeable, accessible, friendly, and helpful to me in making decisions. Beyond her, the building process was , in my limited experience with building, heartbreaking, frustrating, and full of unwanted surprises.

Didn’t meet our standards

This is our second Pulte home. Our previous one, built two years ago, showed a much higher quality of finish. At first glance during our walkthrough, the home seemed striking. Of course, your heart is racing at the reveal, and there is so much to see, that it is difficult to see everything. Once we furnish and accessorize the home it will look beautiful. However, being our second Pulte home, we are disappointed at the use of MDF (like cardboard with a nice plastic finish) as a trim material. It is difficult to repair should it get dinged or gauged. We noted several of these dings and gouges during our walkthrough, and the painter had a very difficult time repairing those so they did not show. Also, we closed at the end of December. Though we expressed no hurry to do so, Pulte Management appeared to put tremendous pressure on every Pulte employee from "Sales to Closing" to finish the home by the end of the year (for Pulte's benefit). We found several issues after the walkthrough. The drywall is kind of "wavy". If you place a two foot level on it to hang a picture, the level often rocks back and forth. The "wavy-ness" also shows up in the baseboards. As you sight down the baseboard you can see it dip in and out pretty severely in a few places. You can clearly feel dips/rises in the floor at certain places as you walk through the home. Most of what we did catch during the walkthrough was taken care of quickly. We still have some nail heads that show around the kitchen cabinet area, and you can see light leaking under the center of the front door. The (gray) wall paint is either a cheap grade of Sherwin Williams paint, or only one coat, but just the slightest contact with it seems to leave a mark. There is a large paved patio included with the home, but we are disappointed that the neighbor's AC Compressor is literally right at the end of the patio. Of course, this an architectural/design issue, not a build issue. (We cannot imagine sitting next to the AC unit during the warm summer months.) We are pleased with the efficiency of the home. It seems to be well sealed and insulated. There is a full unfinished basement below the living area that is trimmed out very cleanly. Winter weather did not allow for the outside trim to get a final coat of stain. Landscaping will be completed as weather permits. We are hoping to resolve as many of the above issues as possible before our one year warranty terminates. ... Más

Our construction manager was AMAZING. Our house is wonderful, which is a real testament to the subcontractors. Our sales person was pretty awful, her manager was a joke. Neither of them delivered on the expectations that they set. We went under contract at the right time, prices are outlandish now. I suppose that’s more of a condition of the over all housing market though.

Long delay in permitting, in part due to COVID but also due to wrong paperwork being filed. Closed on 12/30 and on 2/10 found out wrong paperwork was filed for recording, delaying homestead paperwork. When we closed, no welcome or congrats from sales rep. In general appeared Pulte staff have been too busy.

The construction product was not to standard or what I expected. However, so far, the Customer Care Team (Liz and Tim) have been doing their best to help me fix the numerous issues. I wish the construction and closing team would have done a better job to prevent so many issues post closing specially for an almost $500,000 home. I remain hopeful that all issues will be addressed more than 1 month later and no surprises as I live in my new home.

Overall Pulte Homes is good. However, very hard to coordinate with thing did not go well.

They were ok to work with.

Pulte house itself is a good choice, but never use pulte loan. Before considering getting the poor incentives from the builder’s own loan company, please google Pulte Loan reviews and see the customer comments on yelp. For my own horrible experience, I’d like to give it minus star if I can .

sharing detail plan would be helpful, if you let the owner make some minor changes will be very helpful. for example some of my bedroom doesn't have two outlet on wall where bed is going instead they put two outlets under windows , some of the outlet is completely out of place. my master bath faucets i requested to change to a more convenient place instead they kept it very far. craftsmanship in paint is very poor also drywall job is very poor lots of wall are not straight

The house wasn’t clean day of walk through prior to closing. Many issues with the flooring were present

The Team tries hard to deliver a product that is not near the quality you would expect for the price. There are a number of factors to include, covid, shortage of workers and supplies but the prices have soared beyond NYC level prices. Location is great, neighbors are great so its a decision you have to make

I am happy with the home, love the style, salesperson Amanda was great, however not happy with items that were not completed prior to closing and it has now been > 6 weeks since closing and there are still items that have not been addressed. I made contact with the warranty rep, Dave and he has been very helpful in trying to complete my list of not completed,

Be diligent with this company....They were delayed ~3 months, installed the wrong kitchen layout and made me pay 1/2 the cost. Rough ride and wish it was smoother and fair. Now that all is done, house is great and all is well.

While the sales process was great, the design process felt like we were rushed to make our finish choices. As much as we like our home, I am underwhelmed with some of the finished workmanship, considering what we paid for the home. The wall in the owners shower is bowed, and the tilers just cut curves into the corner tiles, instead of having the wall fixed first. Also some crooked wall switches and outlet covers. The warranty people are good at returning any calls, but so far some of the issues still haven't been resolved, and one of the issues they did try to fix looks like an unqualified DIY job. My impression of the finished product is the finishers are rushing through the home to get done, and no one is checking the workmanship, maybe because they are so busy, so the builder can turn it over to the homeowner to get their money. ... This is our 4th new build home and unfortunately this experience did not live up to our standards or what we have experienced in the past. You can blame Covid-19 on this as well. From having to bid on a lot and not getting straight answers that would better equip us on the bidding wars to the very end where we ended up doing our own cleaning of our stove vent. This could’ve been better in so many ways. Sadly we did not get the house we wanted, nonetheless we will be happy with our home.

The initial part of the build process with Pulte was enjoyable and low stress. Our sales and design consultants, as well as our construction field manager were friendly, professional, good communicators and efficient. However, at about the 6 month mark of the build process things started to change. The excuses (mostly blamed on COVID) piled on regarding delays and towards the end we felt like the home was being rushed to completion so that upper management could fill their end of year sales quotas and get their bonuses. Our home was closed incomplete... no screens, missing shelves, hardware and paint as well as lots of cosmetic defects. Some homes on our street are still missing mirrors, counter tops etc. Our field manager tried his hardest to push things back, but his supervisor wouldn't allow or just didn't care. A month after close, things are slowly being addressed and repaired that should have been taken care of prior to closing. But this shouldn't be the case with a new build. average quality of workmanship & materials

Rushed the closing with lot of items pending at the end of the year. The final walkthrough was almost skipped before closing. Was promised that all the items will be done soon after we move in. It wasn't a pleasant experience at all moving into the house with lot of contractors coming to finish the work while settling in. The contracted plumbing company was the worst of all and the other companies took their time due to whatever reasons. After a month there are still some pending issues.
