I am not pleased with the way Pulte is handling my concerns. For starters I'm going to start with my sod and sprinkler situation that I paid $6,000 for. My sod and sprinkler system could not be installed because my soil had not been final graded. So I reached out to the field manager of Pulte for my community to find out when would my final grade be done so my sod could be laid down. so in the midst of waiting for my final grade to be done it was brought to my attention that my sump pump was not completely installed they had the pipe coming out of the side of my house but not running into ...

We are disappointed with the quality of some of the work done on our home. One thing was said before we closed, but when we had issues to address with the quality of work, we were told that’s not covered under your warranty. I would think Pulte wouldn’t want to continue hiring contractors that didn’t do their best work or at least Pulte would correct the problem. I was told I could hire someone to fix it. I made a large investment and expected better work and customer service from a builder. In addition, Pulte Mortgage was a complete nightmare for our buying experience. Poor communication ...

Lack of communication and little transparency

Toured a home under construction in Dec 2019, had about two months of work left, signed contract. Failed inspections delayed, then rain weather delayed by a month, then pandemic delayed. Repeatedly asked for a detailed schedule of work, never received. All of these on their own is understandable, but getting to explanations behind delays didn't come until I pressed hard on leadership in May. Meanwhile, imagine being told the closing date was tentatively set for Feb, then delayed to early Apr, then delayed to late Apr, then to May, then to June, then back to May but only b/c you expressed ...

Any time I call for resolution of a problem or issue with Pulte, I can count on a very delayed response. Customer service is a thing of the past, and Pulte is a prime example of that lack of caring.

Clearly Pulte have poor communication within their organisation, which in my case of purchasing two properties, resulted in threats from Pulte about a potential closing delay due to issues created by Pulte and COVID-19. No respect for time zones, no customer focus, no apology from Pulte corporate. Overall a very stressful and dissatisfying process from when business sealed through to closing.

I was lied to throughout the whole process by both Pulte and my Agent. I was told i could build a pool in the backyard and then found out once construction started there was a huge 15 ft drainage easement in my backyard that i cant build anything on. No one tried to help, Pulte essentially said too bad so sad. They tried to offer a different lot but none of them would work for our model home we wanted. Govany is the worst super you could get. unresponsive, no accountability and constantly blaming others for his short comings. We have to replace the our entire floor, garage floor, repair cabinets, countertops, windows, carpet, and shower glass still 2 moths after closing. all items we brought up well in advance of closing and initial walkthrough. Brand new home looks good outside, after move in we identified lot of issues in first month itself, very bad materials in all places, mainly the tiles are broken the Pulte representative came but he told it will not cover the broken was by your mistake. So many issues but pulte team is not responding properly.

Very expensive starting from lot until utilities. Quality and workmanship is not up to the mark for the price paid for the home. Very limited walk through and that not adequate time provided. Floors on level is not even. Paid for many customization but most of them are below satisfactory level.

Site builder is a liar and a legal liability

I’ve dealt with many builders over the years of real estate investing. I have never had a builder sign on and submit legal documents signed and dated prior to the work actually being completed. On top of it, he was a straight jerk. You should fire Chad immediately before he costs you millions of dollars in legal fees.

Sales experience was poor, communication awful from the sales guy. Almost 2 months after closing we still have issues remaining that were present before or at closing. Having to fight to try and get things fixed. Quality of workmanship and materials used is terrible. Customer care not the best. Builders used our electric after we'd moved in, and Pulte are refusing to pay us for that. Would NOT recommend buying from Pulte at all, and certainly not at Hartford Terrace.

I closed on my new home on October 28, and I have yet to enjoy it. For a new construction, the number and severity of issues is absolutely unbelievable. The water heater has failed twice since closing. Because of this, my family and I have had to pay out of pocket to stay in a hotel for nearly two weeks, while waiting for repairs. I am now scheduled for a technician to come out on Friday, which will make it a full two weeks without hot water. No new homeowner—especially in a brand-new home—should ever experience this. Lots of promises up front before closing that issues would be resolved. Painters came three times since closing yet quality of work and products are extremely subpar. We have not complained again because we feel it will be more of the same. Expectations have not been met and there seems to be little interest in engaging us to check in. Every door in our home has issues and all door handles are poor quality. We have given up and most community members (according to what we hear in the chat group) are unhappy. We will not buy from Pulte ever again!

Our primary concern is the poor build quality and finishing of our new home. Many issues we reported before closing were only temporarily fixed, and several patches have already come apart, with no response from the construction manager on the items they agreed to address after closing.
