Closed 7 months late. We have 3 good size holes into our attic, and nobody at customer care will return my calls. For over a week I have been trying to get a hold of anyone. Easier time getting a root canal done. Avoid Pulte!

I closed with so many outstanding items but grouped them overall into following categories: a.) Closing was delayed from December 2021 to March 31, 2022. This delay had cost me a few thousand dollars for board, lodging, and additional storage extra fees. b.) The appraised value was much lower than the sales price. Pulte construction refused to giving comps to at least cover the difference. The original comp I got is the same everyone got. c.) The land that I was forced to bid was only 1/4th of the size from the survey to actual property line. I was SOLD during Sales, in which I have I documentation of, that entire land to the left (if you are facing the main door) of my property is all MINE so I was advised to bid really high during the signing of the contract back in June 2021. But right before closing and after the survey from the county, I was only given a quarter of the size! Assigned sales consultant deceived me to bid high but only to get 1/4th of what I was originally sold. These individuals should be further evaluated by Pulte Corporation due to their unethical and false sales tactic. d.) Assigned construction manager should be evaluated on how he treats customers. He screamed/yelled multiple times that was very offensive and not helpful to the overall process. I have proof of a recorded video on one of the visits. He's extremely unprofessional, uncollaborative, and am pretty sure he violated Pulte HR policy. He caused tremendous unnecessary stress which impacted my mental and overall well being. e.)I closed with the following punch list (some have been resolved but it is important to note that these were not ready at the time of closing): 1. Washer/Dryer (W/D) needs to be installed and tested ASAP before home inspection tomorrow at 3/29 at 10AM 2. Water Heater (50 gallon) confirmed and turned on. Water was turned on in various outlets. While warm, did not at time of walkthrough turn hot. Was informed by construction manager that by 3/29/22, water should be hot right away. 3. Blind control to patio door (Living room) has to be functional 4. Microwave install 5. Refrigerator–condensation found on freezer and fridge doors - need to be replaced 6. Stove damage/dent–needs to be replaced 7. Main front steps need to be fixed (bricks are not installed with the right size and sealed properly- hazardous for movers or to anyone heavy) 8. Back bottom door damaged (can see space coming through from chipped door) 9. Front & back doors need to be re-sealed (can see light through) 10. All second floor windows screens have to be replaced–should fit exactly 11. Stove sits lower than counter–stove height to be adjusted 12. Second bath upstairs–mirror plate be installed in window outlet 13. Master bath sink towel handle should be installed (left side is missing) 14. Master Bath shower door has to be adjusted 15. Windows missing Caps in second floor 16. Scratches to all counter tops should be polished 17. All vanity lights to be replaced (missing light bulbs and unmatched vanity lights) 18. All Windows–missing caulking, paint touch up should be repaired by closing 19. W/D doors on bottom has to be repaired/glued 20. Outside front outlet not working 21. There's a longer formal list from my home inspected about 40 items overall. After closing - water heater stopped working and the emergency hotline did not work. I was left w/o hot water after closing and was on the call for hours with customer service but no immediate resolution. They eventually sent a plumber the next day but had to escalate to sales and numerous complaints. Unless Pulte Mortgage is giving information to Pulte Sales/Construction about my financial status throughout the process, I don't know how Pulte Sales/Construction would know that I could afford the balance from the appraisal to the actual sales price difference. Please evaluate the process if Pulte Mortgage is practicing proper and legit business process not to violate antitrust laws. Pulte Mortgage is not allowed to give any financial status of their borrowers to Sales/Construction side. Hence, the two entities were separated to begin with. If Pulte mortgage relayed some of my finances to Pulte Sales, they are in clear violation of the Antitrust Laws and should be reported to the Federal Trade Commission. ... Más

The shoddy workmanship and lack of attention to detail were very disappointing. It seems as there were unqualified workers building my house and pulte construction personnel did not hold them to a high standard.

The build quality is awful and the customer service is even worse.

Pulte Homes is not a good company to buy house. Pulte uses very low-quality materials to build houses which is not recommendable to other customers. It is worse company I ever uses. Please think before you purchase any house from Pulte Homes.

Pulte's sales person was good, but the construction manager and crews did a poor job executing and communicating. We were given a close date about a month or so out, and we jumped through hoops to prep and sell our previous home to meet that date. Leading up to close, Pulte did not disclose the poor quality of finishes throughout the home, even when directly asked. We disclosed our timeline for closing on the previous home and expressed concern about the timeline for closing on the new construction, ad we were assured Pulte would deliver quality on time. After extending close by a week (only a few days before the scheduled close), Pulte failed to make much progress despite promises to the contrary, and on the day of close we were shown a home rife with poor quality, from flooring needing to be replaced to baseboards not sealed properly, to walls bowing inward, to paint not being finished on basically all walls, to drywall issues, to float and tape issues, to the front exterior elevation not being correct, to an unfinished space in one of the bedroom closets, to all closet shelving throughout the home not being done correctly, to most windowsills cut improperly, to most blinds throughout the home not being cut properly or the brackets installed correctly, to issues with cabinets not installed correctly, to the vent above the stove not connected, to holes in the wall behind three of four toilets, to fixtures beings incorrect, to a fireplace not being installed correctly, to missing garage window panels, and so on. This is the worst new construction I have ever heard of, much less had the misfortune to experience in person. The worst part is that Pulte fully knew we had no time to make alternate living arrangements by the time we walked the home on closing day, so they effectively forced us to accept the house as-is or be homeless, which is not a choice for a family with three small children. Pulte did not execute the contract correctly and willfully misled us on the progress and timeline of the build so as to force us into a bad house that, two months later, we are still trying to get Pulte to fix. Everything about Pulte is bad, we had literally several issues after closing, they threatened us to close even with these issues identified during orientation. Very bad people, they are selling junk for 400-500k. Beware !!!

I would rate 0 but there is no option, The quality of build is very bad, Site manager doesnt care about the house. we had 100 problems after closing the home. I would not recommend Pulte to anyone.

I have sent numerous emails including photos displaying the poor workmanship, quality of materials and responsiveness to resolve issues that were identified during several walkthroughs and should been completed prior to closing, One may ask, "Why did you close?" Pulte strong arms buyers into closing after receiving the right to occupancy. Beware of the monetary penalty if you fail to close on their preset date in the contract.

Waited for a year for a new home, a lot of construction issues, pushed to close and many unresolved issues in the home. Be aware of these promises and really push closing until rectified

The lack and workmanship whenever an issue was addressed The repair looks worse than the original issue Such as drywall and paint Missing vents and missing fuses in appliances Concrete chipped and scratched from running heavy machinery on horrible communication when issues needing repair are addressed

at the beginning sales was nice, during the finical was terrible, at the end I have to use my cash to closed the house, and still delayed the closing date due to not completed the house , after close multiple area either not completed or install unproperly . such as leaking water from the ceiling , from garage wall. missing tiles from the kitchen or bathroom, my house closed on3/30 it is been over 1 month now still finish all ..

To save you some reading; there was little to no communication throughout the process regarding delays, issues, or any other problem that may have held up the closing. The favorite phrase across the board is, "not my job," which still rings true with completing items on our "weather letter" 6 weeks later. In short, Pulte took what SHOULD have been an amazing event in our lives and genuinely ruined the experience, taking all joy out of moving in. We will NEVER recommend Pulte to ANYONE, even people we don't like.

Quality workmanship is nowhere to be found in any phase of build. Contract for purchase was signed one year ago and still unfinished house (outside of house not painted, my guess is will never be caulked, yard is mud and rocks). Every phase of build appears to have been done by a blind two year old. House was just thrown together with attitude of just do it as cheaply as possible with as unskilled labor as is possible. The painting and drywall was awful. The order in which things were done makes no common sense. Why put down flooring before drywall work and painting are done? They sell you things (such as appliances) that they can't deliver. Knowing now one year later, what we are going thru, I could never recommend Pulte. I would love to have a face to face conversation in my (new) Pulte house with someone very high up in the Pulte organization to show them the kind of work that is being done in their name. This is my third Pulte Home and I the first I was able to choose my options and upgrades on so I thought it would be fun and exciting. Out first Pulte was a quality build and one previous buyers didn’t qualify for so we got a great bargain. The second was a no frills spec home and had a few issues, but Pulte took care of them. This home, the last Pulte I will ever buy, was a nightmare. The quality of materials and workmanship Is horrible and most issues were concealed by each next phase of construction rather than corrected. The trades never cleaned up, leaving rotting food and wrappers and even beer bottles on site daily. Pulte management admits to being held hostage by the trades and said if they complain about the work, the crews just won’t show up. The home was delivered 4 months late and filthy. After 2 days of cleaning, we replaced broken trim, fixed the texture and caulking issues and repainted with quality paint then moved in 13 months after signing our purchase agreement. The only pleasant part of buying this home was the Design Center. Gina was very knowledgeable and helpful and the options were plentiful. ... Más

This house took 7 months longer to build than anticipated. Sloppy, dirty, incomplete work. Horrible attention to detail. I closed 2 months ago and there are still broken cabinets that need to be fixed and the microwave/oven combo is still MIA with no ETA. You have to beg for updates. Everything that I pointed out and placed blue tape on during the walk thru, either didn’t get done or I was told by Jose that nothing could be done about it. The things he promised to get fixed, never got fixed and they just went around and removed the blue tape but never fixed the items. I am a single mom who works full-time and I worked very hard for this house. I absolutely feel as though they are taking advantage of me by giving me a sloppy, incomplete house and just sitting on it knowing I don’t have time to hound them everyday for what should have been done in the first place. I am still scraping paint and grout off of tiles, handles, carpets, walls and fixtures that it doesn’t belong on. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. This is the 3rd house I have built, the most expensive and the worst quality. I would not recommend Pulte to anybody. ... Más

A collection full of lies, slander, insults to the personality and intelligence of the customer, I spent nearly a million dollars, my house lasted 24 months instead of 6 months , During this time, the Pulte managers in MN committed racial discrimination instead of apologizing. Eventually, instead of enjoying our first home in the land of dreams, we will carry a bag of pain and insults for the rest of our lives. This is my Pulte Experience for USA welcoming

I will not recommend anyone to buy pulte house , it would be better if you buy small builder house and save your money. Pulte is very bad and they don’t build quality house. Provide wrong in while booking and hide things at contract time.

Our family has purchased five Pulte homes in the past few years. Pulte has changed. Their mortgage company will tell you they will work with you on pricing but then not match a competitive bid. Construction was a disappointment from start to finish. Sub contractors did poor work and not mutch follow up by supervision. Pulte insisted on closing on a home that was not finished and very dirty. We are still trying to get warranty work done. I understand the times we are living in but that is no excuse for poor craftsmanship or Pulte saying there is nothing they can do about it. I wouldn’t recommend buying a Pulte Home and I question a lot of the most recent 5 star reviews, because myself and all my neighbors around me have the same opinion. If Pulte Homes focused more on building quality over quantity, plus picking the right sub contractors instead of sub par contractors, they wouldn’t have so many issues. Myself and my neighbors are very dissatisfied with how Pulte has handled follow ups, etc. We’ve been waiting for months after closing on various things like gutters, seeding our yards, appliances, etc. The only silver lining is after going through two unprofessional Field Managers, our current Field Manager, who I won’t name for the sake of privacy, actually does a great job and is very straight to the point, honest, and paints a clear picture of what the issues are and how to fix them. The Building Manager we’re currently working with needs to be promoted and could turn that company around from sub par to great. ... Más

From day 1 it was poor craftsmanship and service. Literally not happy with any portion of this process. At this point I only view the structure (don't even feel comfortable calling it home) as an investment.

I would like a call from my builder.. no one will call me back after contacting them multiple times. This is super frustrating. And today I found out I have water damage in my home from the rain. I would not recommend Pulte.

It was difficult deciding what title to give this review. Not for a lack of options, but because we had a hard time identifying which horrible detail stood out to us the most. The initial sales agent was wonderful but that's as far as it went. From that point onward, it was nothing but deceit, issues, and overall shoddy workmanship. There was little to no communication and no follow through. My wife was discriminated against in not being included in communications nor were any decisions directed toward her. The quality of materials used in the construction were that of defective remnants that you would find at some discount outlet. No one seemed to know what was going on or how to do their job. The foremen spent more time in their trailers (if present at all) than walking the houses to oversee the jobs and quality. When we brought attention to the terrible quality and deplorable workmanship, we were told that, "this is standard" and we have to accept it. To what horrible standard is Pulte building my house? It looks like a child built it. We were also told that workmanship is suffering because of the labor shortage due to the pandemic. Why is it our problem that Pulte/TrustBuilders can't hire, or is too cheap to hire, people who know what they're doing? The whole reason we bought new-construction is because we didn't want a home we had to refurbish. In the end, it didn't matter because we have to do just as much work on this house to fix everything Pulte failed at delivering. Even working with Pulte's warranty department, they are taking cheap shortcuts and sub-par contractors instead of doing the job right.
