I cannot endorse Pulte. Covid delays and supply chain delays aside, I’ve found their pre construction supervisor literally supervises nothing and is the last to know about QC issues, which there were many. Almost a different excuse everyday as to why things aren’t getting done. The post closing construction manager is equally unresponsive. Yes, things are getting done, but at a snail’s pace. Further, the subs that finally show up to correct items that should’ve been done correctly in the first place (had their been actual construction supervision) have a bad attitude and lack skill. ...

Poor communication starting with the sales representative to the field manager, etc. pre to post close. Careless mistakes made during the build process like drywalling over areas and very poor craftmanship from crooked framing, uneven door trims, nicks in walls and woodwork, chips in cabinets, scratches in exterior materials, gaps in installed items, woodwork, garage frame, missing materials, caulk that looked like a 4 year old did it, misalignment of doors and hardware, defects in materials that had to be replaced already...the list goes on. Do NOT build with Pulte Homes. Their quality of work is horrific and there response to ANY issues you come across is VERY slow if not completely ignored.

Horrendous Communication & On-Going Warranty Claims

Promised times/dates provided by Pulte were NEVER updated. It was only until we showed up on site that we were informed on numerous occasions. Closing date was cemented, Pulte Mortgage asked us to wire our Escrow funds, and we ended our apartment lease. We didn't receive a call for closing location, so we called... and only then was informed the day prior closing needed to be moved. We could not stay in the apartment longer so we had NO WHERE to stay. We had to move to a hotel with our personal belongings moved to a storage unit. This has been the most frustrating home buying experience ever. The mortgage people were not responsive and the day before we were to close we didn't know if we even had a mortgage. On the day we were supposed to get our keys we were told we weren't going to be able to move in because the gas wasn't installed. We still have many issues that need to be resolved. Too many to mention here. I've emailed the warranty company 2 weeks ago and still haven't received a response.

Couldn't have been worse. Pressured to close when home not complete. Once I closed, they didn't respond or fix items they promised they would.

Never buy a home with Pulte - Everything is terrible

They are not trustworthy in completing home with quality materials, my previous apartment home paint job was 1000 times better. Fit and finish of pulte sucks. they want to squeeze as much as from customers during the pandemic. Material shortage is just a play they want to do.

Pulte scheduled my home to close on January 31 - well before it was ready for a new buyer. Several weeks before the scheduled closing, I saw what a terrible state the home was in and asked if they were sure they'd be ready. They assured me they would. Well, it came time for the walk through, which takes place a few days before closing so that they have time to finish any small punch list work before the actual closing date. Good sales people. Horrible trades workers that don't know what they are doing and don't care about your new home. I would never buy another Pulte home, it has been a living nightmare trying to get my home built. RUN, RUN, RUN as fast as you can away from buying a new Pulte Home!

Great neighborhood but horribly slow warranty and incomplete home

Home is nice in the most part, but received home incomplete and warranty for incomplete items will take months! Quality of vendors and workmanship was very disappointing for the price I paid. Responsiveness to very simple warranty items is horrible. When the vendors do come and fix they are lazy and job needs to be done more than once. Even the electrical contractor cannot fix repairs which I have ended up resolving on my own. If you have the luxury to wait for closing, make sure EVERYTHING is completed before moving in!

Over Promise and Under Deliver

The whole experience was infuriating from top to bottom. We were promised weekly communication about the construction of our home, and it was spotty at best. Our home was delayed not because of COVID supply chain issues but because of a report that they weren't able to get correct. We were forced to sign a document saying that we were satisfied with the quality of our house, but we have a ton of items that were just missed. They need to have someone who inspects each house to make sure it is up to quality standard of the price of the house.

Truly awful experience, ran into so many issues that it became awkward to continue to point them out. I felt like they rushed to complete my home and I notice it every day. I had double digit documented issues after I moved in and they still are not all fixed after living here for over a month! Communication has been poor at best. First morning we woke up to a flooded Landry room, master bedroom and walk in closet. Not recommending friends and family to go through what we went through.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a builder, an yes I have built previously. Project managers were horrible (Zach, Chris (replaced Zach) and Mike the Project Manager over them, unreceptive and did not provide updates as promised Mike Bahr was the worst individual to deal with, he was even more useless than the others. Mike swore he would get all the issues would be completed and forced me in to closing, even though the house was clearly not ready. All the project managers are no longer with the company. 3 months into the home since closing I have a sagging garage ceiling, ...

Field manager ignored buyer’s concerns throughout the build process. Due to supply delays, Pulte took shortcuts to keep production moving. This meant drywall, floors, cabinets, and appliances were all installed before windows and exterior door were installed. No effort was made to cover windows from the elements. Issues that were not corrected prior to closing, were promised to be corrected within 30 days. It’s now over 2 months passed closing and issues have not been resolved. I would like others to stay away from Pulte all together. I have never experienced such poor workmanship in my entire life. The so called brand new built is ready for renovation. There isn’t a single wall that is even, trim or paint that is applied correctly, tiles that are unevenly set, holes, scratches, etc. I understand that nothing is perfect and things are more complicated with COVID and “great resignation” on top of it, however there is no excuse for such poor quality on almost everything. Pulte should not be allowed to be licensed to build houses in my view as well as my neighbors. ...

Terrible craftsmanship, communications, zero honesty, responsiveness to issues was average or slightly above. People were pleasant to work with. The value of the home and the price I paid seem to be in two different worlds. I’ve been in my home for 1.5 months now still with items I’m waiting to be finished and finding more and more every day. I would never buy with pulte ever again and am counting down the days until I can get out of this brand new house
