While I absolutely love my home, I would say that the quality of the workmanship left much to be desired. I moved into a home that wasn't cleaned, that had a doorbell that wasn't functional, had missing door hinges, and splatters of paint on the tile floor that I am still trying to remove. I've also discovered that there are areas near two windows that lack texture and paint. On the exterior, things that I flagged during the walk through were not addressed. I've submitted three requests to get the doorbell, hinge, and an electrical issue addressed and am still awaiting resolution. Pulte makes you pay for even the most basic things. Workmanship quality is not as good as you expect it to be.

Overall sales experience was good. Delivery and follow up after home was done was not good. Home was not clean at delivery. Paint still on floors, windows not clean and too many items on punch list. Not sure I would build with Pulte again.

My project manager did a great job communicating with me during the build process. However a week before closing we were assure things would be fixed by closing and they were not. Then we were assured they would take care of it while we were in the house. When we followed up we were told we had to put in warranty tickets. Now we've been in the home two months, our doors are not aligned, tile is crooked and chipped, and my floors are not level.

They build your new home, then you feel like you got a used home due cosmetic damage to flooring, cabinets, walls, etc,

I was able to watch the house being built. I have a niece that purchased around the same time her house was LGI. The quality on her home was much better. The fit of the framing we had cracked studs large gaps in cross pieces patched in with 6 so so nails. overall I would not purchase another Pulte home.

We are a first time home buyers. We have zero knowledge on the upgrades and options. It would have been helpful if sales could have told about the major selling upgrades we would have gone with them. We miss a few now which we regret to not have them. Second, I felt Pulte is not fair to all home owners. They finished the garage of almost every home owner missing a couple and when asked about it they gave some crappy answers. I know about 8-10 people who didn’t go with an option of finished garage and they still got them. It was unfair. What I learned working with construction manager is, you should visit your construction site often, take notes every week and send to him and not go easy on him. If you go easy, you are gonna lose a lot of things and always keep everything in email (writing). And ask only before you close and not after because you will see the difference in their responses once they close. ... Más

They were in such a rush to complete the interior of the home that quite a few mistakes were made such as uneven floors, uncorked windows and scantily painted window panels, cuffed and splitting door frames, doorknob placed backwards and mal-adjusted kitchen cabinet doors. The list goes on. They tend schedule final walk through 2 days before closing and many issues go unresolved thereafter.

Pulte has beautiful homes and great features but the final quality work lacks making for a disappointing experience. They take great upgrades and don’t watch carefully how the final touches are being complete and that’s where the quality suffers.

We received weekly updates until the month we proceeded to close. The closing date shifted twice due to incomplete projects. We acknowledged a ticket escalating missing appliance items in July (on the day we closed)…its now September—2 months with later no progress. Our neighbors warned us that once we close and complete the survey, customer service would deteriorate which it did—significantly. My wife and I are both military veterans (Air Force) and this is by far the worst experience considering we have purchased custom homes in 2 other states.

Overall, quality and workmanship is good, but not good enough for the high prices they are asking. Should pay more attention to details, especially the painting.

Inconsistent communication with construction manager. Unfinished repair six weeks after problem brought to attention of construction manager.

Our project manager and sales rep were very friendly. However their construction motto seems to be build the house quick and cheap, then attempt to fix only what the homebuyer catches. Some workmanship errors have been corrected - still waiting on many others.

Please do not close on your New construction Property Purchase until you are totally satisfied with the outcome and get everything in writing. Because once you close and there is some concerns that you have or had that where not address you may not get those concerns met, and you may get the brushoff treatment.

David, who ended up running the project on the ground in the final months, was first rate. His predecessor was not.

I wouldn't buy their house if I were to live in it. For rental it's ok.

The quality doesn't seems to be that great. few items pending from walkthrough are still pending to be fixed. The flooring is not what we selected and is damaged

Lack of attention to detail!

We have been very disappointed in the final workmanship in our home. We have November 1 scheduled for the fixes so we shall see. Additionally, we do not have the right appliances in dryer, refrigerator and others. Our order was cancelled when I called last week. Also I would have purchased more items if it had been clear they were structural but was told it was design meeting. So Pulte could have made even more money.

Not very responsive to issues.

I have a good experience during the sales process. The sales person wasn't pushy and was very responsive even after I signed the paper work and paid my deposit. I went with Pulte Mortgage and also found the various people that I communicated with at Pulte Mortgage to be very responsive as well. However, post closing is a completely different story. I have a number of issues. My fridge is in the middle of my kitchen and has been for almost two months because it cannot fit because the upper cabinets are too low. There doesn't seem to be any urgency on their part in trying to fix the issue. The customer service folks that you are suppose tor reach out to are not very responsive. I understand that sometimes things can take time to resolve and I have been very patient, but, at a basic level, you should be communicating with your customers about why things are taking time to resolve and when you expect to address the problems that have been raised. This is customer service 101. In this case, crickets. Overall, I'm very disappointment with the workmanship. There were glaring issues like cracks in the bathtub, newly installed towel racks falling off the wall, unfinished wainscoting, missing screws from switch plates, unfinished work on the siding, issues with the roof, garage door not working properly, AC not working ... I could go on. And, these are the things that I identified within the first month of moving in. God knows what's to come. In addition, the trades handled the materials roughly (there was clearly no care). Most, if not all, of the doors and frames have some kind of damage. There's also damage to the cabinets. I can't tell you how many non Pulte contractors have entered the house and commented on the glaring imperfections in the drywall (... I mean really obvious stuff that anyone that cares about their work would see). If I had to do things over, I don't think that I would go through this process. If you're someone that values workmanship and quality you're better off renovating a home or building from scratch, which will give you the opportunity to work directly with a reputable and reliable general contractor that's interested in doing good work. ... The home is aesthetically pleasing - just as in pictures of the models. However, the quality of finish leaves much to be desired. There is a time-frame in which the new homeowner is allowed to "point out" issues that need attention. The Pulte representatives are accessible through appointments and do inspect and view homeowners' issues, but also note that they "can't keep an eye on every contractor during the building process". "Repair" contractors are sent out to make corrections, hopefully to the homeowner's satisfaction, which should have been completed before closing. The home came out ok, but all the little details such as painting, caulking and grouting were done very messy. I still have grout stuck in the middle of tiles that was never removed. I found that my guest tub was installed cracked and they tried to patch it up, this is unacceptable for a brand new home. Overall not a great experience for my first home.

Customer service is average, at best. Better home builders out there.

Our experience was plagued by lack of communication and our field manager was changed three times during the build process. The last month of the build was a complete rush and showed in the quality of the workmanship at the end.
