Things were not smooth since start and then issues with construction, delay in the closing and now going through the issues that I'm seeing in the house that were noted at the time of closing and here after 2 month still not fully taken care. And seeing the how much least bother the Pulte group is in resolving these issues. I would recommend to buy some older house instead.

What is considered standard is very cheap. Nickle and dime you to include any upgrades.

Home is beautiful. Salesperson should reference a list of options to go over with home buyer-not rely on home buyer discovering that something wasn’t even offered during the building process. Also, salesperson strongly suggested that I not get the backsplash option for my kitchen, and do it myself, but when I thought it through and thought that because I bought a range tower exhaust, it might be wise to have the builder do the backsplash was abruptly told by the salesperson that it was too late and I had to do it myself, regardless of my willingness to pay the $500 change fee. When I made onsite visits, I was appalled to see that workers left empty bottles and cups and trash in my new Kohler bathtubs and that one window screen was severely trashed and on the floor in the garage. Field manager said that as a homebuyer, I could call at any time and he would respond—-not true.....never returned phone calls. Salesperson and field manager blamed the US Post Office for placement and assignment of mailboxes. Was told by both the salesperson and the field manger that my mailbox would be right across the street from my house....not true....discovered after closing that my mailbox was not one of the four towers across the street from me, but one block over. Field manager blamed landscaping company for not installing sod until day after I closed on the house, which benefitted the builder because builder didn’t have to pay the water bill for watering sod. Names of streets are confusing....One half of a block is Samantha Joy Lane and the other half is Samantha Joy Court. Mail is messed up because the numbering duplicates numbers of houses on other streets and mail carriers are severely confused. Construction traffic oftentimes blocks the mailboxes so that those of us residents who have to drive to our mailboxes cannot stop and safely get out to check the mail. Pulte is not a custom builder. It’s quantity, not quality. There is an obvious lack of pride in workmanship amongst the trades and not much accountability from Pulte.

From purchase leading to closing I felt it was a good experience. However, upon closing I felt the celebration was not a celebration as the home wasn’t fully ready. House was dusty, dirty, not cleaned, paint touch up needed and was not presentable for a ready move in. Upon moving in I did experience nails poking people’s feet around the carpet area, which I questioned the quality of work. Having said that the thing most affecting the rating is related to the “fungus” gnats issues I’m been dealing with since moving in. I was told pest and bugs are home owners problem. However, I did not caused it. Nonetheless I did everything from cleaning my house, windows, spray store bought solutions as well household solutions on the gnats. These were only temporary. The gnats continues to be swarming around my windows and house. Upon further inquiry I was told, though rare, these type of gnats are caused by the soil the home is build on. The recommended solution by Pulte was to pour bleach in the drain. I would think that if you value your customers, you would want to get ahead of this before the issue become bigger rather than washing your hands of this. The quality of the Lumber, paint grade and paint workmanship is poor. The hard wood floor started chipping within few weeks of moving into the home.

Started off with a good experience, overall excitement and eagerness to move in. The neighborhood was oversold too quickly and then the delays started. Understandable for weather delays and supply shortages (who could’ve predicted the market and wood supply issue) what wasn’t understandable was the lack of communication and the excuses we ran into. For any issues or potential issues we brought up, we were told “it’s up to code” for delays we were told “you should’ve expected delays” on our walkthrough before closing-2 days before closing, we still did not have power to the house or AC- all things our neighbors had prior to 2 days from closing. The day of closing we did a walk through to mark where paint needed to be touched up and other issues. This should’ve been done prior to the day of closing 2 hours before closing. The house hadn’t been cleaned and the paint touch ups left paint on the tile floors and some on the carpet. Things were over looked and the home wasn’t cleaned other than vacuumed, prior to us moving in etc. We love the floor plan, but not the final product handed over to us. Love our home now that’s it’s done but it was a long time coming that required a lot of oversight which was very frustrating at times.

I think there was a rush in completing the home, compromising with quality.

If what you are looking for is quality work with a builder who is proactive in satisfactorily remedying workmanship issues then this isn't the builder for you. The home overall is in good condition however the subcontractors used by the builder were primarily people who could fog a mirror not specializing in their specific craft and the quality of the work speaks for itself. The builder's idea of remedying the workmanship is far from what you would expect for a new home or from a builder of this magnitude. In fact, I would be embarrassed to resale my home with some of the work that was done to it. Thankfully we plan to be here for a few years so I can have the work redone. But yet again, this shouldn't be the case when purchasing a new home. I can't stress enough to be sure to hire your own home inspector through all the phases of your build. I can't imagine what they would've done or not done structurally now knowing what they did and didn't do cosmetically. ... Más

We have been in the house for over a month now. We had a list of issues from our walk through that weren’t fix before we moved in and additional issues we have found since moving in. There were covers left off of electrical outlets, broken freezer shelf, leaking shower in the master, and vent hood in the kitchen that was installed wrong. These are big issues , not just paint touch ups and we still have had no word on when any of it will be fixed. It appears your goal is to wait long enough for people to forget about things or end up doing the repairs themselves. It’s very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend pulte to anyone. ... Más

I had a bad experience around closing time as there seemed like there was no coordination or communication between the involved stakeholders. Closing got delayed and since i was moving from out of state that made my experience even worse overall.

It’s wonderful to be in a brand new home. Unfortunately, that gets ruined when you spend the first couple months constantly finding all of the poor workmanship that wasn’t caught during your brief final inspections. Walls out of square, sloppy craftsmanship all over the place, broken doors, drawers, and cabinets. Very slow response to get anything taken care of. If you’re thinking of building a new home in the Indianapolis area, go with anyone other than Pulte. You’ll be happy you did.

The sales team and field managers are client/owner focused throughout the process.

Mediocre quality and follow through from construction team! Pulte should do a better job upfront instead of sending subcontractors to constantly correct their mistakes.

When you do your walk through make sure you pay attention to everything.

The wrong stove was installed and the salesperson is not responding to me.

The joy of moving into our brand new "dream home" was short lived as we walked in to find pieces of insulation on the cooktop, dirty sinks and tub, dirty cabinets and windows. There was paint everywhere...on virtually every floor, outlet covers, towel bars, light sconces, etc. Caulking left a lot to be desired as well. Several doors rattle when closed and 1 door misses the strike plate entirely. The master bathroom plumbing backed up within the 1st couple of days (there was a spray paint cap in the drain line somewhere between the master bath and the clean-out). There were other issues as well such as gaps in molding and blue tape still stuck to issues that were never taken care of. Certainly, not a good first impression. Our punch list is over 170 items and still growing. Hopefully, all of the items will be taken care of and one day our "dream home" will truly be move-in ready. ... Más

I am very disappointed that I haven't received any assistance after my first survey was completed. There are many things that were never completed for my home. No one has reached back out to me. The person who is the customer care rep, is non responsive. I definitely don't feel like a valued customer. I'm not satisfied with the discrepancies of my brand new home.

Too many stuff need rework and take more than two months to finish

We love our home & the actual building process was great. We had a great sales rep & field manager that were professional, informed, and super helpful throughout. Now that we've been in our home a little over a month, we've reported minor things that need fixed on several occasions and haven't been able to get much of a response. We notified our field manager, customer care coordinator, filed claims online and have still not gotten anything resolved & barely a response back. I know the market is crazy right now & tons of homes are being built so they're very busy, but I'm honestly shocked and a bit hurt by the blatant disregard. At this point, I'd say that overall Pulte is great up until closing. Once they have your money & everything's signed, it seems like they no longer care about how they treat you. I have no regrets about anything, am just a little disappointed. I expected more.. ... Más

So far, quality of home is better than previous home from lower cost builder. However construction process was a nightmare.

Final works with quality assurance need more improvement.

I'd say Pulte is good but not great. It's like eating fast food. Some of it might taste good, but it's far from eating at a nice restaurant. It's just a matter of how many hairs you find in your food.

Nice having a brand new home however, quality is not great. Unmatched paint issues, service issues, carelessness.
