Worst experience ever and very poor build quality Bad customer support

First day at my new home, I found out that the living room and 2nd floor bathroom ceilings were wet. The construction people came in and I was told that this was due to the water leak in ac unit in the attic. The drain pipe was not connected to the ac, so water was pouring out straight down to the ceiling below. No one inspected that the ac unit was running properly! They had to cut open the ceilings and dry them. They brought in huge blowers that were loud and I wasn’t able to move in to my home for a week due to the ongoing repair. When I moved in, there was still water collecting in the drain pan in the ac unit in the attic. I complained about it and after two separate visits from ac contractors, they found out that there is a hole in the ac unit coil and they had to replace the coil. The toilet paper holder is missing in the 2nd floor bathroom and I have submitted a warranty request. It’s been a month and I’m still waiting for it to be done. ... Más

I told him there was a defect at home, They didn't improve quickly, therefore the problem got bigger, They don't respond quickly. I started to regret buying this house.

Very bad design and very poor quality

Overall terrible experience. Would not buy again. Multiple sales reps/field reps. Had to do everything myself and follow up on everything on my own. Everything was incorrect and had to be adjusted on the go. Would not have been fixed if I was not on top of the entire build. Would never suggest to anyone.

Incomplete work left at the time of closing and was promised to fix right away but still not fixed. It’s been almost 3 months now, yet our garage isn’t fixed.

STOP! If you still can and do your research by reading the reviews across the country and the lawsuits filed. After putting down earnest and becoming contractually obligated attitudes change. READ the contract before signing and you'll find EVERYTHING is in Pultes interest. Dont assume their tactics to incentivize by using their mortgage company is the best either. They too were not professional and had questionable practices. I will also tell you that very literally every stage throughout the build had issues with quality. I can also share that the majority, if not all, the community has issues with the company and the trades they hire to perform work. My observation and opinion is that they only want your money and honestly DO NOT CARE about you or giving you a quality product. There is so much more I could share. I’m really hoping that Some one from Pulte Management will contact me after reading below feedback. I have a very BAD experience with Pulte. I think by selecting Pulte over of other builders in the market I have made a BIG mistake of my life. No one hears my issues/concerns. I was given unfinished home at the time of closing. My backyard was handed over with unfinished work. They did not even did seeding and proper landscaping to my backyard land which I own. For all other neighbors in same neighborhood they did seeding properly, They did not even know about my backyard land which I own. They don’t even able to establish my boundaries. I was promised by my Sales Consultant (Michael) and field manager (Jen) that my backyard will be fixed. I have done several follow ups with them after my closing but no luck so far. Work is not done yet. Another example of my dissatisfaction is that they did not installed window shutters which was expected and promised as per my elevation design of my house which I picked at the time of buying this house. I have noticed this miss after closing of my house and immediately informed my Sales consultant and Field Manager. My Field manager told me that she has submitted a request to get the window shutters but when I asked by when she will able to get this work done, She said that she doesn’t know and can’t give the ETA. This is ridiculous. This is very Unprofessional behavior from Pulte. If I had not noticed the missing window shutter no one from Pulte team would have told us about this. I don’t know how many other things they have missed in my house during construction which I’m not even aware of. There are few other issues which I had reported to my field manager and Sales Consultant which are unaddressed yet. I’m really hoping that someone from Pulte Management will reach out to me after reading my feedback and help me to fix my issues and help me in regaining my trust ok Pulte again. ... Más

Bad experience from beginning ,and especially at closing.

Good morning, it is very difficult to get anything done. I have been in cassia since 5/26/2022. I still have items that are pending to fix. I still do not have internet connection, Pulte is not helping me to solve the problem. Please help me resolve these problems.

My parents bought a pulte home on 2006, man did this builder go down the tubes. From my "closing" to current day this house has been a nightmare. Construction manager ian has tried his best but his team has failed him every step. Bad woring , wrong doors in the house , stuck sliding doors, missing sheet rock, 4 nails in my cars tires because of no clean up, glass in my foot! Recently the walk in closet shelf collapsed and fell on my fiancée! The list still goes on! The quality of this house is a joke! The standards this company has is little to none!

Pulte promises quality, but does NOT deliver!!!

I would have answered the 15 question build questions completely differently after I moved in if I had uncovered all the problems with my house. The ONLY thing that went well was the title company for this all cash purchase. My punch list is over 20 items long and no one provides updates on anything. The completely wrong counter/sink/mirror/light bar configuration was installed in my master bath. The data panel/closet in the garage has an electrical outlet that is not connect to anything and the other bathroom has a light fixture was not installed and is sitting on the toilet tank. Those are just three of my issues, but the quality of the build is very crappy. The sales personnel, although very personable, don't know details on what they're selling and the construction manager doesn't know the housing development. Construction manager said don't say there are unfinished items in the 15 question survey after closing because people have lost their jobs over this. You need a real ticketing system for service orders with one ticket per service issue. Then you need to provide regular updates rather than communicate either via email or not at all. As it is, service issues seem to fall into a black hole. ... Más

Don’t buy a Pulte home, that’s what I would say to other buyers. Though we worked with some good people, the company as a whole is terrible. They know you can’t afford to walk because of the now much higher prices, and they clearly take advantage of that. Have an issue, tough? We’ll get to it when we get to it. Regardless of how long that may be. They see no reason not to sell a house, even though they don’t have enough people to build them, or enough people to repair them when they are complete. Our inside joke is, what’s not crooked?! We’re now dealing with the hassle of redoing all of our floors, since it would have cost $35000 more to go through their design center. And they don’t have the expense of tearing everything else. It took over a year to build this house, but 3 days before closing, Pulte mortgage was still requesting paperwork. A year not long enough? What can I not say? Here's a list of everything that went wrong: 1. No communication at all 2. Never told me during the whole process why my home was really delayed for almost 6 months! Interest rates went up, never locked in a rate early because I was told that it would finish next month, next month, next month. and soon December 2021 became May 2022. Pulte didn't care, they just wanted to get the money 3. Workers smoking and eating inside the home 4. No security, hence things were stolen from the home, which then delayed the home 5. Always said that everything has been ordered and they have it in storage, but I am still missing things in the house and I closed two months ago 6. After closing, noticed the dry wall was crooked in multiple areas, hardwood floor was creaking, and paint was not done well. 7. For how much I paid for this house, it was definitely not build to standard or to my expectations 8. I am still finding things that were done poorly. It seems that this home was hurried to be completed, even when they had an "extra" 5 months to complete it Overall, terrible experience and will not recommend Pulte ... Más

Was a nightmare with the realtor and the constructor , both doesnot have responsability, care, worst treatment we can imagine, I know the is not a Pulte im blaming for the constuction side and realtor, but you have to select better who will works for your company, you have a name that you have take care , The house was delivered with a lot of things to need to be fix , they did not clenned after construction , the material I cant choose the color or the floor. Bad comunication with constructor .

All started well with the sales but after construction started seems to be when it started to fall apart. When I can tell there are glaring issues w/the quality of work (I don’t have a construction background) & bring it to their attention & it’s repeatedly ignored or we are told it’s fixed when clearly it isn’t we should have known it wouldn’t get better. Clearly crooked framing of windows, stairs that are uneven & poor materials used, extreme use of caulking used around light switches (which is a no-no), poorly mixed grout, all around sloppiness & such a lack of concern that this will be someone’s home. ... Bad experience all the way around. Paint the shipping from the door garage door is not working light bulb was wrong sink was wrong chipped everywhere on the deck

They gave me an unfinished house. After multiple follow-ups they send someone to finish up some paint work, and he leaves it half finished. The quality of such expensive houses is very questionable with mesh door not getting locked, and flimsy pull out drawers in the kitchen.

I was very disappointed with the way the house was turned over to me after closing dozens of things were not repaired or fixed and the house was in disarray unacceptable for a higher and builder.

This was the worse experience we ever had building a home. We have built 3 other homes in the Charleston area and this was awful right from the mortgage company on. The workmanship is horrendous!!! They rushed building our home and right from the sod, bushes and trees on into the house it is cheap, poorly done, and still not completed after 2 months of our living here!! Even the appliances were wrong! I would never recommend a Pulte home to anyone and would discourage anyone from building with Pulte.I
