Everyone we worked with was up front and honest throughout the process. Everything happened quickly yet we did not feel rushed. Our new home is amazing, no issues and everything that was supposed to happen after we moved in happened when we were told it was going to happen.

We couldn’t be happier with our new home and the buying experience that came along with it! Linda was very knowledgeable and thorough throughout our process, and consistently checked in on us with updates. Ivan was also very helpful in ensuring all our blue-tape items were taken care off, even the ones that required completion after closing. We love our home and our neighborhood, and would highly recommend Richmond homes!

My experience with the builder was with Sean, the superintendent. He was professional, attentive and responsive. His attention to quality and details was very much appreciated. Melissa represented Richmond as their real estate agent. She listened to my wants and needs and helped me find the perfect home for me. She was attentive and professional, Melissa kept us informed and worked very well with my agent to keep things moving forward and on schedule. My experience purchasing and moving into my Richmond home has been overall positive, though there were a few things along the way that future buyers should be aware of. From the initial purchase through move-in, the process moved forward with steady communication and coordination. Casey worked very well with my real estate agent and helped keep things organized and progressing, which made a big difference throughout the process. The quality and value of the home have been solid overall. Like most new construction, a few items came up during inspections that needed attention, but the team worked through them. Dustin and the crew who prepared the home after inspections really put in the effort to make sure the items identified were addressed before move-in and that the home was ready. After moving in, the warranty support has been especially impressive. Nick from the warranty team has been exceptional about making sure anything that needs fixing is handled in a timely manner. Having someone responsive and willing to follow through gives a lot of peace of mind as a homeowner. There are a few things I would encourage future buyers to understand ahead of time. In my case, the home ended up being listed at a value above the appraisal after the bid process, and the builder would not reduce the price. Because of that, I would strongly recommend making sure the price aligns with the appraisal before placing a deposit so there are no surprises later in the process. It is also helpful to know that the financing system initially requires buyers to purchase insurance through their banking process, although you can switch it later if you choose. Additionally, the mortgage may be transferred to a different bank shortly after closing, sometimes without much direct communication, so being prepared for that can help avoid confusion. Overall, several members of the team made the experience better by being responsive and working to resolve issues when they came up. Purchased a ready to move in home. The process was easy and everyone was helpful and friendly. Home has been great so far. Warranty fixes have been timely and few.

The purchase process for this home was easy and seamless. We worked with an excellent sales associate who answered questions and was so supportive during the time we worked with him. The construction manager was also good to work with in helping get the house ready to move into. There was a short timeline between purchase and closing and he go everything that needed to be fixed or completed done in that time. He was very responsive to our questions and Pros: The house is quiet and solid. We are happy with the home and are glad we chose Richmond to work with. Cons: the quality of the house painting inside and out is a little disappointing. We will have to do some repainting both inside and out on trim and doors. It is not a big issue. The responsiveness of the after sale personnel is not as good as with the earlier team. Fortunately there have been only a few minor issues to be dealt with to date. Richmond American Homes team helped make buying our first home a great experience. We’re gracious about helping us through the process.

We have had multiple issues in our brand new home ranging from many electrical, appliance and HVAC. Our last home was also brand new and we did not encounter one issue. Only lining in our home for one month, I am regretting my decision despite my initial love for the home. Speaking with neighbors, they have also encountered the same making me concerned why there continues to be issues. Dispute all these issues, they all have eventually been addressed and each person has been understanding, kind and professional.

We bought our first house and in general we are very happy. I would have like that they have spend a little extra on some of the products Special the cabinets in the kitchen, I would have prefered more draws. The light installation is fine but there is some details that could have been fixed for cost less than a $100 and I would have been happy to pay the difference. The findings we have had they ahve respond very fast and it have been a pleasure to work with them

The homebuying process went smoothly. The quality of the work was sub-par by some of the contractors, i.e. the electricians, painters, and dry wall workers. The foreman promised things fixed at walk through that have not been corrected, and since ignored. I like my home and the neighborhood but was not told about all of the taxes at the location I live.

We love the location and floorplan of the home. The process to purchase the home was smooth. For the price of the home, I believe the builder used subpar finishes. No pendant lighting or room lighting other than outlets, no drawers in bathrooms, no backsplash. They've never repaired our slider that has a torn screen. It was on the check list but not corrected. Several items that should have been caught by at least the inspector, we are now waiting to have repaired through the warranty like no cold water in the kitchen. Who checks that? We didn't. Once we moved in, very little response from anyone. ... Más

The sales team was absolutely amazing. Issues have taken a long time to be resolved even when reported before closing. Richmond is starting to cut corners yet charges the same high dollar price unfortunately. Things like eliminating the large double slider (which is a feature point of the home) in lieu of saving a buck and installing a single door slider is a value loss. Closets are also very cheaply installed and there is no workaround before closing including not installing the cheap wire shelving. Getting reports of workmanship and quality fixed after closing can take upwards of months for simple issues and most subs do not clean up after themselves. For the price of these homes there should be greater quality response and initial workmanship from Richmond. ... Más

Our home required removal of a shower pan and some tile/drywall. When the drywall was removed, a water bottle full of urine was found. I’m happy to provide a picture for proof. Overall, the craftsmanship of the home has been lacking. We’ve had to contact the warranty representative frequently. It’s disappointing considering what was paid for the home. We already have concerns about its’ longevity.

Always, Always have a home inspected prior to purchase. So much wrong with our brand new home before we signed, even more found after close. A 12’ hole had to be dug to fix underground plumbing sewer line belly. We have lived here for 45 days and still have a laundry list of repairs needed. Trades are garbage with zero care for their given trade. We have bad flooring, subfloors, large holes in the walls, exposed copper. Took 45 days post close to get front landscaping. Landscape company is another nightmare. They have delayed, delayed blaming us as homeowners somehow for their delay and crappy work. Richmond builds as fast as possible and hopes the buyer doesn’t care about safety or fit & finish. Zero oversight of trades from the builder during construction and even less after close. Someone needs to be in the Quality Control mindset on the job site, unfortunately this isn’t the builder for that. The contractor who builds metal hand railing for Richmond walked right into our home like he owned the place after we moved in. He was supposed to replace the hand railing leading into the basement. This contractor has known about the faulty handrail for MONTHS. Of course the builder waits until after we have closed to approve the handrail to be replaced. This initial delay has now turned into a 6 week wait with no updates. We have no clue when our documented list of repairs will be completed. We were told that all neighbors had to share the expense of the back yard fencing. Of course my neighbor wants to avoid us like the plague now that we have paid for the entire fence. I urge anyone reading this to do more research on the builder in the area you are considering. Have your new build inspected!! Do not take possession until your list of repairs have been completed. I can tell you after 45 days we still have no end in sight for the easiest of repairs. Lord help us if something really bad happens to this home. Zero faith in this builder and their hired trades. This is a million dollar house Richmond. Do better! Hire better! Have some freaking oversight of your trades. Have some pride in the homes you build!! ... Más

Buying a home is supposed to be an exciting milestone, a dream come true. Unfortunately, my experience with Richmond Homes turned out to be the biggest regret of my life. From start to finish, the process was riddled with frustration, disappointment, and regret. The pressure during negotiations was unbearable. Richmond played games with concessions and demanded an exorbitant amount of earnest money, clearly designed to lock me into the deal. It felt manipulative and left me feeling cornered, rather than confident in the decision I was making. When it came time to inspect the home, it wasn’t even 100% finished, and the closing package wasn’t installed. This is something you’d expect from amateurs, not a supposedly reputable builder. To make matters worse, the quality of materials was shockingly poor. Cheap labor and cost-cutting were evident in every corner of the house. It’s clear Richmond is saving money on details that matter most, sacrificing quality for their bottom line. The gap in communication throughout the process made everything even worse. Getting answers to basic questions felt like pulling teeth. There was no transparency, no accountability, and certainly no sense of customer care. It seemed their sole focus was cashing in and banking profits, with zero regard for the buyer’s experience or satisfaction. I’ve spent countless nights regretting this decision. What should have been a proud moment in my life has turned into a constant source of disappointment and stress. Richmond Homes has failed on every level, specially quality. ... Más
