The quality of the overall building is not what I expected. The finishing details did not meet my expectations.

A lot of missing finish part their job. Many mistakes. It looks obviously tried to finish building real quick. Many spots are not perfect compare to other homes. Very disappointed that price i paid. Area, design looks good. But thats it. If its 1-2 or 5 spots r not cleaned finish is okay, But so many things that they built wrong. very very disappointed . But i have no choice. L

THE PRE-SALE EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD AND HIGH QUALITY. HOWEVER ONCE I SIGNED , THINGS FLIPPED AND MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE SALES AGENT AND THE WARRANTY PERSON HAS BEEN SUPER ROUGH. I WILL LIKELY THINK TWICE BUYING WITH RICHMOND AMERICAN AGAIN.

We love the location and floorplan of the home. The process to purchase the home was smooth. For the price of the home, I believe the builder used subpar finishes. No pendant lighting or room lighting other than outlets, no drawers in bathrooms, no backsplash. They've never repaired our slider that has a torn screen. It was on the check list but not corrected. Several items that should have been caught by at least the inspector, we are now waiting to have repaired through the warranty like no cold water in the kitchen. Who checks that? We didn't. Multiple issues with the house. Still waiting on builder to fix it.

The whole process of loan approval was a mess. It was very disorganized, bad communication, time management, last minute work (Mike the loan officer did not have a good communication and I felt was very behind and disorganized) the whole process was very stressful, not a good experience. On the other hand Rene was awesome, great person and experienced.

the framing, plumbing, eletrical, roofing was completed to the highest degree of professionalism. Inside trades were not up to the same standards. Warped walls inside, plumbing hardware elements that don't work, mismatch plumbing hardware, paint issues, grout inconsistencies on backsplash, etc were indicative of lower quality standards. Lastly, we paid $23K for a side turn garage as an optional add on. We were happy to do so. It was INCREDIBLY disappointing to learn upon possession of the house that a garage door opener was NOT included at that price. This is just another "finish" that was lacking in this build. ... Más

Something could have been done better.

For almost half a mil not worth the price and experience

Sara Jensen did an excellent job from start to finish. But after receiving the keys we ran into some issues and the wait time to resolve them was unfortunate. We still have them and hopefully soon can get them resolved. Other than that we love the area and overall style. Plus the overall feel and look to the home is great. Thanks again Sara for making the experience memorable.

The building process was very good. The follow up after has not been as good. We did not receive any training on how to operate our appliances. Now that we are here, we are unable to register with the home warrantee company, and are having an issue with at least one appliance.

Overall I can say we love our Richmond American home. However the buying experience did not go as smoothly as I imagined it to be when it came down to closing. Our house was definitely not ready to close on our closing date. I was pushed back once already for a stairwell railing replacement due to the wrong railing installed. I wish I could of delayed our closing again due to the fact our house was very dirty on our closing date. My first 2 days of owning the house was spent cleaning the entirety of the house from dust and dirt. It took several repeats of deep cleaning to remove dirt and excess paint off the LVO and carpet. Something that should not of happened and did take away the excitement of moving into a new home. I did hire a 3rd party inspection in which found a few major and several cosmetic issues. Major issues were repaired but had still had several other cosmetic issues needing to be repaired that was not completed prior to closing. Management did complete almost all cosmetic items in a timely manner after settlement. We have had multiple issues regarding irrigation pipes leaking but they have been addressed. The grass that is placed throughout the property and community is Bahia. Bahia grass so far has been low maintenance but our grass was not watered regularly when placed prior to settling. Majority of the grass in the front yard is very patchy along with the countless nails and metal fragments that is constantly being found. I have yet to walk barefoot on my own grass without the fear of stepping on a rusted nail. ... Más

I would not purchase a home from Richmond American Homes again.

We had issuing plumbing pieces, exterior material. Walls not completely painted, carpeting already fraying and not secure, molding falling off and having to nail or glue back on. For the amount people are paying for these homes it should be better quality and actually still be sturdy and not falling apart in less then a year.

All Issues noted on first walkthrough where not finished by final walkthrough, the kitchen sink was clogged since the move in date

Home plans at Seasons at Green Valley Ranch by Richmond American Homes to be unique and spacious. The community appears to be well-maintained and welcoming, and I would confidently recommend it to our friends for a visit to the sales office and model home. However, there are areas where I believe the builder could make improvements: 1. The Home American Mortgage department could benefit from enhanced communication practices. 2. It would be helpful for the sales office to provide clearer information about layout differences between model homes and actual homes. 3. I recommend that the Construction/Closing department ensures all items are completed before closing. I experienced delays and had to follow up multiple times, even after the home orientation and closing had occurred. ... Más

Great home but didn’t feel at home with issues and things needed to be fixed. Yes we might of missed a few things during walk through but I feel that the house should have been up to standards with Richmond quality homes. I’ve own a Richmond home before and know the service, quality, and issues resolved can be better. It’s frustrating waiting for a timeframe to have warranty issues scheduled with no shows or communication. We have had multiple issues with the warranty representative.

The homes are nice. Still waiting on the 30-day inspection and I’ve been living here for almost four months now. My home was kind of a rush job so things still need fixing.

Overall we had a pretty good experience with you guys. The thing that torched our perspective was the absolute hassle we had to go through to get approved by your loan company. The house is wonderful, neighborhood is nice. Sales rep was great.

Purchased the home last year, purchase was not very efficient because there was to many people involved. A lot of moving parts in the purchase, which was ok but person helping with purchase did not communicate with us. I had to do a lot of follow up calls to find out delays and problems with build. We initially put down 1000 dollars and told we would get the money back, at the end we did not get it back. It was applied to the purchase price which was not part of the purchase. There was so many problems with the in house lender, starting from problems with uploading documents to the portal to the loan being underfunded by $50.00 which I had to pay through a bank transfer and had to pay $35.00 to close on the house. I do like the house, a few issued with the build, one of the windows leaks, the island in the kitchen has to be fixed and a few other issues. Love the neighborhood. ... Más

Weekly status updates of the our home construction with pictures from Graham was great and very helpful.

We had a good experience with our sales rep Betty from when we first met her. This made us proceed with the purchase of our home. We were told from the start that it would take 6-8 months to build & complete our home to which we were okay with. We finally moved into our home & after a few days of unpacking, decorating our new home, & having to finally get familiarized with everything, we noticed many things to which it looked like the builder/contractors rushed on installing. We have submitted a few warranty tickets already (Paul has been fantastic) but it is upsetting & ridiculous. I understand a new build home is not and will not be 100% perfect but considering that I’m paying almost $600k for a new build home, I expect the house to have proper installation on certain things. I should be able to move in and not have to worry about submitting a warranty ticket for such and such & waste my time or the contractors time to come out & fix the issue when it could’ve been installed properly the first time. I had to fix some improper installation myself & this is unacceptable. It makes us wonder about the quality of the house and how long it will really last. We love our house, the layout of it, & the staff we had made contact with along the way but we had wish for a better move-in experience, especially with a new build home. ... Más

Took 8 months from contract to move-in due to multiple delays. Simple punch list items and warranty items still outstanding 3 months after move-in. Unable to commit to when included landscaping will be done. Superintendent is overwhelmed. In-house financing was executed poorly and closing was unprofessional.

You guys choice GE for you appliances but they have the worst service ever I’m out of stove for almost a month because it caught on fire and my microwave is full of black ashes inside and out and your Representative told me their not going to replace it so just wiped it down and you’ll be good to go? Until now we’re still waiting!

Overall, I am very happy with the home and with using Fidelity National Title as the title company. They knocked it out the ball park with customer service! I was told by Richmond American that my landscaping would be done in spring time but shortly after closing, landscapers showed up without any notice and I did not appreciate that.
