Very pleased with the home. Took a little longer than expected due to supply chain issues. Really nice location with beautiful views. Shea homes-Trilogy builds a quality home at a reasonable price.

We found the house to be of very good quality for a nationwide builder. The only negatives were the lottery process for obtaining a lot and Shea Mortgage. The loan process was much too detailed and time consuming for our credit history and amount of down payment. Communication with Shea mortgage has been more difficult once the loan was funded.

Well, it took a very long time to get the house but, it was worth the wait. First and foremost, the location is premium! The builder kept many of the older trees and blended water tolerant plants to create an open, green environment The architecture, aligned to Feng Shui principles, reinforces the feeling of harmony and tranquility reflected in the community. Finally, I have to truly say that Philippe's genius matched us with the most delightful neighbors. Wayne and I feel grateful and fortunate to have found our last home. Thank you, Shea,

We started our journey with Shea in May of 2021. First we selected our lot and home model, signed the purchase contract and then spent a full day at the Design Studio to select our options to customize our home. Then the long wait for our home to be built began. Due to the effects of Covid19 on the availability of building materials as well as workers, what was normally a 5 month construction period lasted a bit over a year. Yes, it was frustrating to keep waiting for our closing date but in the end, we were so pleased with how our house turned out. We chose the Declare model and the final product was just as we imagined it. Sure, we noticed a few things that were not perfect but Dawn and the Warranty team are making sure that all issues are being resolved. From signing contract to closing the home took 13 months to complete. Issue found during construction and walk through was not fixed prior to move in. Dry wall issues are being delayed repairs for one year. Irrigation system is tied into other houses and over watering of lawn has occurred for two months.

It would better to each house in the area to have a unique house number even the homes are on different streets. There are several homes with the same house numbers. This causes mis-deliveries of packages

Overall I felt Shea did a good job

My wife and I found that our customer representative did not provide information to us unless we asked a specific question. Even then, there were many questions she simply relied with "I don't know". She did not offer to find the answer most of the time. Once we took possession of our home, we were very pleased with the workmanship and quality. We have had some minor repairs that needed to be addressed and the builder/vendors seem to be ready and willing to make us happy. While the purchase experience was not a pleasant as we expected, the end result is more than expected.

We bought here at Trilogy just from what we saw online and what our realtor told us as we lived across the country. Our realtor met with the sales staff and was impressed and that went a long way with us. Our first trip was a great success as we signed our contract. The process started and we went back to NJ. The construction manger Joe kept us informed all along the way with emails and phone calls. I met him for a pre drywalling inspection and all went well and was very informative. Building at this time was difficult due to labor and supplies being short but they worked through it all. The house was delivered approximately a little over 1 year from signing the contract. Had good working relationship with sales team, construction crew and post-completion complaaints team. Would have liked to see Shea offer more options at reasonable price, like interior cabinet, garage flooring, etc.

Feel like we have a good home - not custom but comfortable. Some minor changes would have been nice (semi gloss vs flat, etc.) but Shea doesn't allow it.

After looking to downsize in several locations, we found way more house for the money at Trilogy at Tehaleh. Mount Rainier shines over this community that has fantastic amenities—a pool, an excellent restaurant, and a large network of well-maintained walking trails. Shea continues to works hard to seek our input on how things are going and if we have any issues. We also chose to work with Shea Mortgage which made the buying process seamless. This is a very friendly neighborhood. For us, it is a perfect fit.

Settling in new home and getting prompt help whenever needed

First, the good. We love our new home. We love the community as well. From Jason (Sales) to Laura (Design), to Neil (construction) and then Connie (warranty and walk through) we could not be more pleased and thankful for their care, response time, excellent skills and assistance! They all get 5 stars!! Now, the not so good. The landscaping came up short, way short. From having a hard time with initial quote (getting answers on how the fence pricing would work, etc.) and then having it be last step in the design process and be hit with huge price increase from initial estimated quote! The fence continued to be troubling as we neared close as no one communicated to us that our to be neighbors required pool fencing on both sides of us. We paid for our entire fence (which was optional for us) & having been given no opportunity to work with our neighbors, we almost lost square footage to our property. We were told, after we inquired why fence on side of our property was 6 inches closer to our home than the neighbor’s, that since we did not sign off on anything, they automatically placed fence 4 inches (albeit it was 6) towards our home. We were able to get it fixed…but it required a lot of emailing and phone calls, us being the driver. We do appreciate Omar (landscaper-labor) for his quick work and kind attitude. To add insult to injury on the fence, we were contacted 2 months after we closed and moved in, by TLB Office (Tara), informing us that they reviewed our paperwork and found in original quote and signed off price at design (where our fence price had gone from original estimate of $3k or less to $4400) had somehow not included the fence line across back of yard!! They wanted another $2800 from us! However, all our paperwork stated the fence was a full yard fence and we presented the copies we signed off on and they determined it to be error on those we worked with in beginning of process, (Carson/Hunter) , they “waived” the charge and hoped we enjoyed our fence over the 4th of July! Another item that we are still dealing with, and are concerned over, is our “whole home” water filtration system. Bottom line is this, they installed a different type than we understood we were to have. We were not aware this occurred until closing. We had to inquire several times for information on the system and still are not clear on how to maintain it. On an up note? Our water quality is awesome! And we require no salt with this system, and have no loud flushing sounds in wee hours of the morning, plus, we do not need to buy filters for fridge because water is filtered as it enters home. We just felt the change to different system was one we should have been informed of and certainly been given better info on maintenance, I mean, this is our WATER we are dealing with. I’ll end on the upnote I began with, we love our home, and the community. Had it not been for the issues addressed here, they would have been given 5 stars across board. We have been through building process 3 times before this, and none of those journey’s had Covid and supply chain issues…kudos to Shea on that point, as they did everything they could to stay on time with close est. we appreciate them. ... The build process was frustrating as the Builder was so afraid of saying something that could be interpreted as a commitment they they instead opted to just not communicate at all. They would not even give me a rough estimate of the timeline which made finding a temporary rental extremely challenging. I understand the COVID delays and that they are very real. But communication is better than no communication. Having said all that, I do love my house and have no regrets choosing Shea.

Overall a great experience since I was living in California during the build. I was very pleased with the status updates during the process and appreciate that Shea has check-ins at 1, 3, and 12 month intervals. I have noticed some workmanship that I’m not 100 percent happy with though, but things I point out generally get corrected. Overall very happy and love my new home and neighbors.

Overall the experience was good. Definitely frustrating that they raised prices as much as they have. Priced us out of upgrades we would have wanted. The sales and building process was fairly straightforward, but definitely took longer than they thought it would.

The process was long due to Covid and the problems with materials and lead times. Shea representatives were always able to talk to even if the news from them wasn't what you wanted to hear. They did the best they could with the trades available to complete the home and make the required fixes. We love the design, feel, and function of the new home tremendously.

We received adequate updates during the build of our new home. We appreciated the quick responses to our questions & concerns.

The overall buying experience was great. What I do think could have been improved is the oversight of the contractors. For our particular home there were some serious plumbing issues that had to be resolved right after closing. I understand that they work with a lot of contractors, but these types of things need to be caught and addressed before closing ideally. The sales team were amazing and always diligent in responding back to our questions/concerns. We never felt pressured to buy or forced to buy and they were always transparent of the entire process. Sales (April) were very helpful; would like to have had more flexibility in design phase. We had had experience in designing a custom home so this was a disappointing experience

The picking out of the options was difficult and not very flexible. Home structure is sound and Shea delivered our project pretty much on time even with the shortages the building industry is having at this time.

It is obvious Shea has been around, as a developer, for many years. Not only is the community plan laid out nicely, but the floor plans of each individual model make sense and function very well.

Overall a great experience, great quality and great service.

This Shea process is very well orchestrated but a few years behind in human needs and construction techniques and interior design and lighting opportunities. Most mechanical aspects are good but instant hot water is too far away from the delivery points and runs wasted water. Water lines in attic causing hot water rather than cold in hot weather. In interior design very little flexibility in choices and options along with vendors and time with designer. No options for lighting and wall plug locations. Landscape palette is not appropriate in many areas of varieties not regionally real in the setting. Sales not clear on interior color options and fron/side street frontage and rear yard setbacks for pools and equipment and landscape. Policy on two trees per rear yard is not enforced. Astroturfing or other fake grass should be outlawed as to heat gain and burning feet. Trash enclosure should be mandatory and areas between homes have tree requirements assisting in reflecting heat and producing shade and oxygen. Policy on maintenance of property line block walls and steel picket fencing need to be maintained by the Association. ... Más
