My house was built in time and whenever there was an issue they were quick to address it.

Shea seems to build a very good home, but time will tell. One of the challenging issues for some of us has been we were told during the sales process that we would have 12 opportunities each to play the golf course a year, and you can't get a straight answer out of the Golf Course or the Verde River Management team. They all just say it will be determined in the future?

From our salesman Owen, to our foreman Alan, both were available to hear our questions or concerns, great people to work with.

The fallow up after move in with Annie our customer field rep was excellent on issues that needed to be corrected. The one thing that wasn't a good experience was with TLB landscaping not doing what they said they would do, and getting them to agree they were wrong and coming back to correct was like pulling teeth, and we are still waiting on a correction 3 months later. If I was to do over again I would use a different landscaping co TLB was tied in with Shea homes, we were unable to use anyone else if we wanted to put into the mortgage. They also are over priced and poor customer service.

All issues were handled professionally and quickly by the initial team at Shea Homes. The quality for the money is great!

Home is well insulated due to use of 2x6 studs. Seems solid.

Overall, we are happy living here! We are enjoying the house as well as meeting so many new friends. This is the 4th home we have built and we understand the process. We asked questions in advance and accepted that this home wasn’t 100% a custom home since we needed to stay within the Shea home plan. Again, we have confidence with Sonja & Sonny and they made themselves available to talk to us when issues arise. We had issues with the design team where incorrect kitchen cabinets, doors, ceiling molding and bathroom counter were installed per our contract. We lost confidence with the design team’s lack of responsibility and this includes their manager on site who never followed up after meetings with us. When going over the options the sales team encouraged you to shop around for the best options for your needs and lifestyle. They didn’t try to encourage you to just buy what they offered.

Responsiveness to issues, excellent staff on issues

Sales office and Shea home mortgage personnel are very responsive for questions. The design and layout of the house is very modern. Love the house fill with lights.

The concern I had was with the disclosure or lack thereof regarding the surround sound system for the house. We had it installed by the builders subcontractor Adobe, but were never advised that they did not hook the speakers up to the owners receivers and equipment as part of the process. This should have been disclosed by Adobe and/or Shea as part of the build process.

I liked being able to pick a certain package however I didn't like that I could not make a change. For instance I ordered blinds but did not want them on the small window & could not have them not put those up. The reason I took off the stars was because when I moved in my outside water did not work because of a kink in the line & they had to cut a hole in my wall. Then the breaker switch on my tv kept going off making me think I had a tv problem. No the electric lines in the switch plate were touching. In both cases Shea did react quickly to resolve the issues but both were very stressful for me. ... Más

First 30 day punch list was long but expected. Our customer service rep assigned to our house was on top of all the issues. The trades were great and responsive to the issues as well. Only wish the dust and truck traffic would be improved by requiring trucks to use the access road.

The overall experience was very good. As to quality: the windows offer much worse sound insulation compared to the replacement Windows we put into our other residence; the interior walls are paper thin; they saved a bit of money by not putting any natural light in the master bath and poorly placed the shower door to it is hard to get out. Still, while not perfect it is a lovely home and Shea is a professional machine which builds lots of homes on time.

I think the project manager made sure we were happy with our home and on the whole, it was very good quality. However, some of the items we picked out were not what was installed. We picked out different doors than what were installed, that was a disappointment.

Overall the home is solid. Sales office was professional and responsive to questions during the purchase and prior to closing. However, the inability to make simple electrical or plumbing change to the interior "cookie cutter" electrical and plumbing design was frustrating! Very surprised at some of the pre-determined choices. It's the "details". Why puts a shingle roofs on an a $700k home in hail country? (We Understand costs...) Why put decor electrical switches throughout the home, but "old style" (round) plugs? They don't match. Upgraded to a tankless water heater, but "recirculation" plumbing upgrade was not offered as an upgrade to accompany to tankless heater. Very poor "stewardship" of completed trades' work by follow-on tradesmen. (Examples available). Lots of patching and fixing prior to move-in. For example, the upgraded stair railing looks Great, now; but the patches required to fix all the dents and scratches can be felt as one runs their hand along the railing. Excellent, excellent warranty follow-up by Shea's representative. "Above and beyond!" Again, overall a "solid" home which we hope to enjoy for many years to come. The home buying process was good. They kept constant communication with me throughout the build. The home has many smart features that other builders don’t use so it’s nice to see that. The workmanship of the home is good, there were some areas that could have been done better. The team is working with me now to get those things fixed. Overall decent experience.

The builder did a good job. Just a little slow to follow up with little things to be corrected.

I really enjoyed working with Korbin, he was knowledgeable, very responsive and always on top of things. The construction was quick, but with that as usual there were some issues. Even things that were pointed out months in advance didn't get fixed before completion, and still haven't been fixed 2 months after move in even after promised within 10 days. Overall 4 out of 5!

Shea allows a home buyer to work with the teams to answer questions and address issues.

Overall we were very satisfied, the experience was better than expected.

House met our expectations and then some. Very happy with all the personal involved in the transaction.

Our Sales Person and Field/Site Manager were willing to do whatever it took to make us happy. Above and beyond what might be expected.
