Hola, soy un profesional de bienes raíces y el proceso de compra fue promedio, si no por debajo del promedio. El centro de diseño fue divertido y desearía que tuviéramos más opciones para cosas como puertas de núcleo sólido, textura diferente, etc. A este precio, pensarías que tienes la opción de seleccionar cosas como esta. El post-cierre ha sido excelente y excepcional. Cada vez que he tenido un problema, se ha solucionado sin ningún rechazo. Esto ha compensado la decepción inicial.

Quality of build and fixtures does not fit the price point. Amenities in development are fantastic. Great landscaping and lots to do in community. The warranty department needs to improve dramatically. Of all the items identified in one month inspection ( apart from what Brad did on the day) the ONLY trade to do waht was needed was the painters

Our sales rep was awesome. Attentive, kind, helpful the whole way through. The home itself is nice, however not as thought out as one would hope. A 5 bed 3 bath home should not have a 2 car garage. It means bigger family size but they made the 4 bedroom homes with 3 car???? Most people now a days want a 3 car garage minimum. Every house should have had 3 car garage options. Big draw back. The materials used are very basic. The wall paint is cheap, damages at the slightest touch, not living friendly and chips at the slightest touch despite paying for upgrade in paint choice and being quite careful. Upgraded features like doors are so extremely cheap despite the mark up price. They are very hollow and offer zero privacy when closed. Upgrade in price and size should come with better quality and insulation and soundproofing. These have none. The noise heard when walking upstairs is almost unbearable downstairs. There is so much vibration and loud thudding even with someone barely walking. Poorly crafted. The construction process is way too fast for quality. They are focused on pushing out new builds yet no one carefully ENOUGH fine tuned the finishing details in the home. Attention would have shown their care and precision. While we understand its a man made product and subject to discrepancies, these could have been made correct had someone given a careful review. Its like they take their vendors and builders for gold. There should still be a quality control check and that was lacking in several areas within our new home. The neighborhood itself is crowded and with tight lots. A shame for such a beautiful area. Need more space between homes which obviously cant happen now. Uncomfortably close on a noise level and for room windows that face one another. Poorly thought out in that regard. And lastly, a massive HOA shared wall with our property was painted on the interior portion of our home with no prior notification! It felt like a tacky, unnecessary, and disappointing move on Shea’s part just before our closing. There was no need to alter the wall, it was decorative and high end looking than what they painted it to. This left a very bad taste and really dampened our happiness about the property. There was no fair reasoning given as to why they painted it. Our lot choice and property buy was based on this wall to begin with and it was a blow to have them paint it unbeknownst to us. They had been keeping us informed of everything but never this. It spoiled the whole sale and thrill of moving in just days before. They completely turned the wall ugly. It had specific speckling and decorative features to the wall that are still present on the exterior of it but on the inside section that lines our backyard they painted it an ugly clay brown which does not match the other retaining walls and had no purpose in being done. Highly upsetting occurence for us. And still troubles us to this day. We built this home on a whim from out of state. We wish we could have known more about what was to come with regard to the finished product. We are content for now but there was certainly room for improvement which is unfortunate because its such a new community. ... Más

Trust the process! Eventually, they will get it right.

Our one-month review with Cory is 90% complete, just some painting to be done now.

Overall we are happy with the house. The "sales agent" was a very professional and a pleasure to work with. The "design agent" was NOT professional at all and we are very disappointed in her work. The "project manager" was very professional and very easy to work with. He answered all of our questions in a timely manner and addressed our concerns during the entire building process.

Overall, it was a good experience. The team was easy to work with, and the workmanship and quality were solid. However, I wouldn’t recommend using the insurance company they partner with. Their representatives were rude and seemed uninterested in helping customers. Emails were often ignored, and when they did respond, questions weren’t clearly answered. Interestingly, they only became responsive when I mentioned bundling car insurance.

Overall quality of home is very good. Warranty service on construction defects excellent. Value for money in today’s market is questionable, but that is an individual choice. Having owned 8 brand new homes in that last 49 years, Shes is good only disappointment is lack of attention to yards outdoors. Enough said.

My experience with Shea Homes was okay overall, but I was disappointed with parts of the process. Their lender offered me an interest rate much higher than the market despite my strong credit, and when I chose another lender, I lost the promised closing cost coverage. I was also told inspection issues would be resolved before closing, but they weren’t though paperwork was signed as if they had been. The home is nice, but the process could have been far more transparent and customer-focused.

We now are happy with the result but did have to work out some details that at first were not being handled well. We did work everything out and love this new home now.

I don’t think the workmanship ( ie cabinetry, electrical quality etc ) is very good As well as how parts were designed Also upon buying there should have a bit more ability to make changes

Make sure you get Everything in Writing. Because you will not get what you were told you would. Then the explanations for that from Management will be: They should not have told that. There is nothing we can do now. Sorry about that. That is an error in our system and that is what you are getting. OOPS!!

I want to share my experience with Shea Homes, highlighting both the positive aspects and the areas where communication and transparency could be significantly improved. From the beginning, I encountered challenges in selecting a floor plan. One of the most frustrating aspects was the lack of explanation as to why a balcony was not included in the design for the location I had chosen. I specifically wanted a balcony, but it wasn’t offered—and this important detail was never clearly communicated during the selection process. Another major concern arose when I discovered a $6,000 charge for a three-panel sliding glass door I did not request. It was automatically included in the home’s price, despite the absence of a balcony. Paying for an upgrade that serves no functional purpose felt unnecessary and unjustified, and again, there was no prior discussion or approval from my end. During the first walk-through, I identified numerous construction issues. Fortunately, the builder addressed them promptly, and I want to commend Vince, the superintendent, for his responsiveness and professionalism. However, the final walk-through was poorly communicated. I was not clearly informed about the timing or process, which left me confused and unprepared. After moving in, I was disappointed to discover the water in this area is extremely hard. I later learned—on my own—that Shea Homes offers a water softener installation during the building phase. Unfortunately, I was never informed of this option. Had I known, I would have absolutely included it, as hard water has a long-term impact on plumbing, appliances, and daily comfort. This lack of proactive communication resulted in a missed opportunity that continues to affect my home experience. Additionally, the post-move-in requirements from the Homeowners Association (HOA) added an unexpected layer of stress. I found it odd and somewhat unreasonable that homeowners are required to complete their yard landscaping within six months, yet the HOA’s own design approval process takes more than four weeks. On top of the delay, we were required to pay an additional fee for architectural design approval. The communication around this process was not smooth or supportive—it came across as demanding, without offering clear guidance or flexibility. I believe this process could have been handled more collaboratively to reduce unnecessary pressure on new homeowners. On a more positive note, I want to highlight the outstanding support I received from Mr. Will Duke, the warranty representative. He went above and beyond to resolve several post-move-in issues, including improperly installed bathroom drainage, water heater concerns, and electronic problems. His responsiveness, professionalism, and genuine concern for my satisfaction made a meaningful difference. I truly commend him for his dedication and customer care. Overall, while there were positive elements to my experience, including some helpful individuals along the way, I feel that several important details were either omitted or poorly communicated throughout the process. The lack of transparency around the balcony design, sliding door charge, water softener installation, and HOA landscaping requirements significantly impacted my overall satisfaction. We were part of the first buyers, so there were no models to view. The sales staff were very good. We were not allowed to make some changes that we wanted with options/upgrades, and they were very over-priced. We're paying the HOA fee, but not receiving any benefits from that yet, as the clubhouse amenity is a long way from completion. The front landscaping was not done very well, no weed barrier, so we are pulling weeds every a few times a week,

Shea nickle and dimes you to death with charges for every single thing. This was my 2nd time having a home built in a community. My first experience included a lot of options in the purchase price with levels of upgrades, but Shea doesn't really give you a single option in the base price. You're stuck with everything basic, not even a choice of paint or flooring color differences. For a price $1M+ for a new home, you'd think it would include all the lighting, a landscaped backyard, high quality paint, window shades/coverings, smart home technology everywhere; however, none of this was included and all of it was additional costs. Several issues during the first three months. Warranty team responds but not a good expereince finding these many issues with a brand new house.

due to circumstances we did not immediately move in,our mortgage payments were mailed to us,the only way i knew about payment was when you sold my mortgage,no contact ,no emails zero

Great floorplans, although quality of workmanship in some areas leaves much to be desired

Understand all of the options and research to materials. Work closely with your construction and design experts.

Over all nice home - Not a custom experience Some things that we were sold to was not the entire story

Pay attention to the details, pay attention to the difference between model and real house...a lot of what shown in the model after signature you discover in not there....good people in general but sales really focussing in maximizing profit and not to take care of client after sales. Before closure order an home inspection...you might be surprised, reply worth .

My experience with the builder could have been better. The house is okay... Because of when I purchased the home, I was not able to choose any options/ upgrades. Therefore, there are many materials use in the house I do not like. I will now have to spend a lot of money upgrading my house....

From initial visits, things changed ie: when we entered the interest list, fencing was included, then when it was time for the contracts, fences were not included. Some homes in the track get them, others do not. It is being marketed as a gated community, however there are large perimeter openings where anyone can enter.

The location is great. I felt that Shea was underquailified to deliver this type of home. There was constant delays and the workmanship was just fair. I ahve bought many higherend homes and that were delivered much better.

I had to deal with a lot of issues after i moved in. for example; heater did not work, ring doorbell had an issue. issue with pool access. issue with HOA.
