The builder seemed to care about doing a good job while building the house, but needs work on follow up. I do not have any major items and I am very happy with my house, but there are little things that do not seem like a priority to the builder to solve for me since the sale is final.

Lovely neighborhood with an easy way to meet neighbors as well as a save atmosphere. Love my home and the connectivity to Maple Valley, a lovely, vibrant town.

Right on schedule. Communicate with buyers.

Great floor plan and use of space.

The on-site Super was just great!! He was always helpful and allowed me access when need to measure etc. The mortgage process was very easy and the incentives were very nice.

Initial contacts with BreAnn and Marlena in making our decision to buy, Mike at Shea Mortgage and Karen at Chicago Title were excellent and efficient. The first few months of home ownership have had some heating and electrical issues, but Shea has been responsive in addressing and resolving all issues to date. Shea offers a piece-of-mind 12 month warranty to include a 1, 5, and 11 month walkthrough to ensure everything is in order. We love our new home and appreciate the Shea Team.

We are pleased with our home and we feel that Shea deserves the good reputation that it has. We had a couple of issues when we first moved but they have been resolved. The customer relations people have been excellent. We were a little disappointed with the slow response of the HOA on some issues but that is improving. (We are very supportive of a strong HOA by the way but they should answer phone calls and e-mails promptly.)

That there is no mail delivery and you will have to drive to the post office to pick up your mail. No answers when we'll have delivery.

We have been in the house for just over two months. It’s starting to become apparent that this house was built by either amateurs or people that don’t pay attention to details. The paint on the interior is already fading and will need to be redone within a year. I have had to adjust most all of the cabinets so the doors shut correctly. The microwave quit working and it was because it was wired poorly. And today I am dealing with no heat because the heat pump fuses keep blowing. Trying to get help from Shea homes yields no results, so I came home from work and made the calls myself. There are more things wrong, and I am contemplating just having it fixed on my own, so I know it will be done right. If I could I would sell the home and move, because this house is going to have more issues in the future. ... Más

Day one we were kind of led on, 1 its a gas Furnace but you don't bring gas lines for a Stove/oven or even for a dryer . 2 advised there will be a food truck every friday in neighborhood. Not everyone in the Shae Company is on the same page . 1 to not know which unit is being sold first . 2 to not having the same close date One person says its all up to the buyer then saying it has to be closed by a different day. Quality on their Model homes is horrible . the Frame work not a even square walls or Windows . You can see the Seam lines on Ceiling runs from Kitchen thru the living room . The windows NOT one the exact same size when the 4 should be exact and its not off by just a smidge its off by a lot and you can see it . I would think the price you will sell the model homes that should be your priority to have them perfect instead of in a rush so you can show people the units its not fair to the new owners and because of that charge Full amount for all upgrades but to not give even a discount knowing the quality of work done was not at 100 percent to standards. I cannot say about the homes being built for others who bought to their liking and upgrades on how well that was done. I believe being spread out as a company the communication is not going to be good and having New builders on each site does not keep the product the same over all . Last negative thing; There is no Flexability for the buyers Schedule . Its like they have banker hours 9-4 pm . Even tho it is a Senior 55* you still have buyers working that cannot do those hours and really need evening or weekend appt and Not understanding the need of your buyers is very sad . Good stuff . I love the community and your vision . The older you get the more you want and need just a single floor home. I do love your plans on most of your homes. Your community look so much like a home community and not a Shared wall Town Home Community . ... Más

This home is in a 55 and older community, but the homes were not designed to older generation. IE. cannot get into the master bathroom in a wheel chair, emptying the dryer in a stacking laundry room.
